Good morning #PDArmy! Seems like Honda is listening to you guys! First time we had caught up with CB300R at 2017 EICMA, we had asked you to hit the pinned comment with a thumbs-up if you wanted to see the bike here. And 600 Likes later, it has finally happened!
This time, why don’t you send Honda a message if you want CB300R to be built locally and become more affordable with another Like and Comment!

Honda CB300R = Pricey
CKD is fine for fit, finish, parts and overall material. Pricing is too apt being CKD. Once you compare the pricing with cbr 250r seems it's quite well put. One thing is for sure that this will be better than Ktms, bajaj and REs and others in the segment in terms of overall finish, parts and reliability. CC is nothing but an illusion, what matters is supply of it and refinement in usable power band.
People before : Honda doesn't launch their international bikes here and gives only Activa.
Honda launches the exact international variant for a premium

Honda means class, reliability and peace of mind. If u find budget problem then go for cheap quality KTM or other bikes. Honda is not everyone's cup of tea.
Actually it should be no one's cup of tea at all and I am not an ktm fan but it's worst then ktm in every point of view no one should give upto 60k extra just because it has a fancy head light
it is HONDA, the quality and refinement will be always top-notch when compare to their competitors ! Performance wise in simple Duke n Dominor is temporary and HONDA is permanent !
Just have words with CBR 250R owner you guys will rarely finds unsatisfied customers!

It maybe too late, but a Honda engine and a Honda comfort and this neo-retro design. I'd prefer this over KTM's sharp design, raw power and track focused seating and posture.
We hope that this sets the stage for Honda to bring its better bikes here!
People who are seasoned motorcyclists are going to by the cb300 over any of the competition.

Honda’s reliability is unmatched compared to any motorcycle manufacturer in the world
CB300R offers a familiar yet unique proposition it’s neo retro cafe looks is not as polarising as the Duke 390 and yet looks clean and fresh hence it’ll appeal for a wider audience and it’s lighter and well equipped,
The brakes are phenomenal it with an IMU integrated ABS it’s undoubtedly the best brake set up in segment combine that with a lighter motorcycle and a Honda chassis you have a clear winner in the Handling department
The 300cc single setup cuts a sweet spot between the high stroke duke 373cc and underpowered 249cc from Honda 30PS sounds good for a motorcycle weighing under 150kg
I think the pricing is good it offers good value for the price considering the Honda’s trusted reliability you don’t need to sweat over services and build quality
Now I need to see is Honda bring the in-line 4 twins the CB650R and CBR650R (which replaces the CB650 F) to Indian markets I think Honda can have a good chunk of the middle weight market of India motorcycle scene with these three motorcycles
PS: Not a Honda fanboy at all, I own a GT650
I did test drive Honda CB300R and Dominar and Duke 390 on the same day... Duke had power but CB300R had a superb engine refinement and smooth gear shifts and agility in city traffic and power wise also it is very good even though not like Duke 390...on the other hand, Dominar 400 can't even come near CB300R....leave alone the comparison...after driving Honda, Dominar felt like an average bike for me.... I straight away booked CB300R

Waiting period is 2 months in my city... Hopefully by mid June or at the end of the June, I will have a hand on the beast

@ishulove001 my main usage would be for gym every day...around 15 to 16 kms and occasional drives to my farmhouse (twice monthly, around 62 kms to and fro)... I am owning farm and managing it and that's my business too... However, I have already taken Duke 390 because I received a call from Honda that I will be getting my bike not before August :( and I am from Coimbatore
Manufacturers make the mistake of not giving us these 150-300 cc variant motorcycles when they gave it to countries like Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and so on is a big mistake on their part and an insult to us, for me. Even when they do, they introduce them late and lower grade parts or versions. We are the biggest market for them at these price range and engine displacements and I do hope they recognise this and make amends.

Bajaj is taking care of KTM in India so quality is somewhat batter.
Street fighter does mean you have to push you bike in stop and go traffic and get irritated due to fan sound.

I am looking to get this bike for many reasons :
- Compared to Dominar, the power to weight ratio is actually slightly more on this bike, which means it is actually more lively than what the HP figures alone might say.
- I think that the power offered on all bikes in this segment is more than enough for our usage in India...it isn't very often that you can cruise at 160kmph for more than 10 mins with Indian road conditions. So I'm looking at a bike in this segment as a long term investment, that I don't have to worry about wanting more power in the future. Honda makes a good case by being the most reliable motorcycle brand in India, and having affordable service costs.
- The 390 engine generates too much heat and the whole bike requires a lot of care to be in top condition (from my friends' experiences) like on time servicing, chain lubrication, etc. I am a very big procrastinator and don't necessarily take very good care of my bikes (sadly) so the life of the bike will definitely be lesser in my hands. Whereas Hondas are known to be unfussy and will be more tolerant to missed services.
- Looks : this is of course subjective, but man this bike looks so good! It requires a few touch ups (that grey needs to be repainted) but overall it looks amazing.
Having said all this, my final point is that I actually want to buy the upcoming Husqvarna Svartpilen. For me, the beauty of that thing will make me want to take care of it and forgive the heat it generates. However, if rumours are to be believed, the Huskies are going to be charged 3L ex-showroom which would push it too out of my budget :(
Completely agree with your thought over CB300R. The power to weight ratio in this bike is killer.
Overpriced D400 or RE twins are far better choice & no one can beat the almighty Duke 390

It may not be economically viable to bring that here. If brought CKD, the price could be absurdly high; probably there's not enough demand to justify the costs to set up local manufacturing. But hey, fingers crossed as always!

I understand that the pricing is high because its CKD, but Honda will have an even more difficult time when the new Dominar launches, especially since there are rumors going around that the new Dominar will have more torque and power than the current one.
300 cc bikes are right bikes for Indian roads....u can cruise comfortably at 120 kmph...

If only the price came near the Duke 390, which KTM knew the sweet spot not crossing 3lkh with their top model and not crossing 2lkh with their base & mid lineup, we all knew Kawasaki and Yamaha failed, hopefully Honda cb300 looks very promising with a reasonable price

Harsh reality.....this is going to be another flop product from Honda. Below are the reasons to kill it
1. Old engine. This is 2007 car300r engine which is low in power delivery.
2. Small tank
3. Only 22 dealer. Service will be horrible
4. It's CKD. So part availability will be a problem. Also part cost will be higher which will lead high service cost
5. Competition. Add 4k ex showroom and will get Duke 390
Gets a new age instrument console but does not get a gear position indicator which is massive for new riders and in the city traffic conditions

This is my next bike... I currently own a CB190R and I just wish Honda didn't go for the cafe racer look... Never the less it still has that naked European look so its growing on me.

@GURNOOR SINGH Honda has a market share of 75% in the global market. The Africa Twin took over the GS1200s sales figures 2 years ago in Europe. For every 4 SBKs sold, 1 is a Fireblade. The Cb650 series is the most sought after A2 license bike in Europe and Australia. Its only the Indian mentality of calling a 2.5 lakh Imported bike overpriced the reason we don't get localised products here. Even Indonesia with the small population has its own r25, 250rr and ninja 250 manufacturing plants because they sell 12000 units per model each year..
Introducing bikes like this, they only harm their brand image. Untill duke 390 is here bikes like makes no sense. {w.r.t price}

Well, now that it's finally here, do you think it was worth the wait?
Would the RR 310 / Duke 390 be a better upgrade from a 150cc bike?
So, it is coming with a 10 L fuel tank!!! That motorcycle may give us a 25 - 30 Km/Liter milage (on a comfort speed). So on a long drive with aggressive driving, it needs more stops for the fuel only. Like Varun said the with an additional 70 K Duke 390 is a good package and the RE interceptor too.
If someone wants to upgrade a 150CC motorcycle to a bigger one without breaking a sweat, then the Bajaj Dominar is the best option. You can easily buy it under 2 Lakh with Duel channel ABS, FULL LED headlamps, Digital Instrument console, and a slipper clutch, also consider that a new R15 - V3 is gonna costs you almost 1.5 Lakhs for just that LED Headlamps and Slipper Clutch for an underpowered Yamaha which is not suitable for long journeys.
Personally, I love Honda and If I had to spend almost 3 Lakhs on a motorcycle for me I'm not going to buy this one.

Honda wants only money from us. We should not support them by buying an expensive motorcycle for a 286cc. Bajaj dominar all the way good. They are in hurry, so it came through CKD. but it will not survive in the market as we get plenty of features in dominar for such a low price. CBR 250R is also priced heavily. Why? 2.70 lacs on road is a huge waste of money

Hey there Powerdrift! Nice video, The bike's good and let's talk about your music director. I do respect the whole PD crew but I must say your music director has gone nuts. The 'Baddest' selection of musics, That is mostly unsuitable for the video. You should know what kind of music can suit a video, What kind of presentation it is, So you should be doing accordingly. It's just my thought! So shared. Soundtrack is kind of a plus point to the presentation of a video so you gotta be really picky about that. Good luck!
