Science: You can’t challenge what we said today. We are the professionals.
Science: You can’t hold us accountable for what we said yesterday. The science has changed.
And round and round we go….
Science: you can challenge already established science. But you will need evidence to back up your claim and show why previous evidence is wrong. We are professionals, don't waste our time with just your opinion.
Science: wonderful, new evidence has been discovered that makes old data obsolete. We have progressed our knowledge about the world we live in.
Most science is driven by politics and money. Follow the research money.
Anyone can challenge current science, in fact that is the whole basis of science, to improve understanding - all you need is evidence to back up your new hypotheses and theories. Scientists will happily, nay joyously, accept a new and better theory and cast away the old because it means understanding has improved. Science changes with the evidence. That's why medicine in 2024 is better than in 1924, and in 1924, it weas better than in 1824.
If religion wa sin charge, medicine would never have changed: it would have been the same "pray".

Yes that would be great if it wasn't a double standard but I doubt you can see that it is.
As far to much scientific hypothesis has been established as scientific fact in the last 250 years or so.
Otherwise provide direct testable evidence for all that is claimed as scientific fact.
It's more than just reading. It's studying each and every word. Many words have different meanings.
Need to read the KJV to use a concordance to study the meaning of words.
@masada2828 along with the Strongs Concordance you need the Strongs dictionary of Biblical Words.
I like to use Blue Letter Bible online, they have options to see the actual translation from Greek & Hebrew if I want to check further.
@@KathyBGood I just use the Strongs Concordance and Dictionary of Biblical Words. I get a pretty good meaning. Like check out the two nets in Ezekiel 32:3. Utter destruction. Take over as tenants.

I used to be not ready for discussions as I lacked a lot of information and tools on these very subjects. Churches should prioritize teaching of the foundations of the faith and the solidifying of argument, so that people will can have confidence in speaking The Truth, but not in a way to win an argument.
It's not so much to win an argument, but to plant the seed of Christ for later fruition.
In my experience, only 1/10000 that claim to be Christian have read the Bible. How could you believe in something that you know nothing much about?

The key word is "claim". There are many "cultural Christians" and it is God that knows who His children are--we can look at fruit and life change, but can't see the heart. Not sure it is 1/10,000, but it is likely only a small %. Also, reading is important, but does it penetrate and result in a changed life in obedience to Christ because of love?

I think it's also important especially these days not to be dragged into stupid arguments, 2 Timothy 2:23-26 warns us as Christians not to fall for this form of attack and how to counter it. Always stick to the truth you know and have read in scripture, anything else walk away from it.

It is interesting that JWs and Mormons train their people but Bible believing churches do not train for the most part. Apologetics is a must. We must be ready to give an answer. 1 Peter 3:15. Doug Stoliker
This is training right here. There's no difference between the indoctrination in evangelical circles from the indoctrination a Mormon faces.
Yeah, but if the modern Western Christian church actually taught about hell, apologetics, required believers to love thy neighbor as themselves, or do anything other than milk-toast group therapy sessions, they lose the tithe and their tax-exempt status. Which is why the bride of Christ (Church) just let the world roll over her in 2020. The Church is the biggest contributor to using the Lord’s name in vain, because they use his name for profit, power and tax avoidance.
For the record I have an MAR, MDiv and MTh from Liberty University Seminary
They train them from their Bible not the Holy Bible. They believe Satan and Jesus are brothers. Nowhere in the Holy Bible does it say that. They don't believe that Jesus is God. The Holy Bible absolutely tells us that He is God.
About 5% of Christian believers read the Bible regularly.
That's probably why they are believers.
The World can't handle the Truth. So, it believes and lives in the lies.
Creationists can't handle the truth. So, they believe and live with comfortable lies. We won't live forever and christians (among others) can't handle this so they IMAGINE a place where they'll live forever with teddybear smiles riding unicorns on rainbows.
I'm a new Christian. I would like to evangelize but I don't know enough to counter the misconceptions of non-believers. I've been watching a lot of street preachers. Particularly those who debate and do Q&A. When scripture is quoted, I pause the video and go read it in context to not just memorize the verse but understand it. This has helped tremendously.
What evidence convinced you as a new Christian that a man named Jesus spoke our universe into existence?
@@LindeeLove A man did not speak our universe into existence, God, one of the Trinity did. I started to see signs of creation a few years ago which is what started me on this path. It's all around us if you open your eyes. You can't get something from nothing which is what "science" claims. It takes more blind faith to believe in the Big Bang "theory", than in God. Since there is a creation, there must be a creator. I think more people would believe in God if they realized that much of what they believe is scientific "fact", is actually theory.

You're using one of the, if not 'the' most common liberal tactic which is rephrasing what I said, putting words in my mouth or ommiting words to alter my statement to support what you want to believe. I did not say that everything thing that I, or we see is evidence of a God. I said evidence of creation is all around us. Saying that something is all around us is not the same as saying everything around us. Most of what is around us, unless you are out in the wilderness, is created by man.

There is a huge chasm between religion and cult. It has to do with the truth of the message and the guy dealing it
The leaders of the church have failed in preparing the people for persecution. They have failed to equip the believer. Yet, it's time for the believers to equip themselves and truly know Jesus.

We’re only as ready as we are purposely training to be ready. Strive for peace and for holiness, without which no one will ever see the Lord in anything we do or say.
You do t need to defend your faith, you need to defend your actions.
If they’re bad or hurtful, be ready to defend them.
How do you defent when they ask about potassium dating which is claimed to decay fully in 1.25 billion years?
Each type of dating must be unchangeable to be correct. Different tests give different results. They all can't be right but they certainly can all be wrong.
God is the one I would put my trust in before any so called expert human.
God tells us in Genesis chapter one, in exactly what order he created the things around us. He tells us what happened in history and what will happen in the future...

@@joeythebushkangaroo1different tests do not need to give exact same results to be correct. Contrary to many people’s impressions, no science data has 100% accuracy, scientific correctness also does not mean 100% accuracy.

The best analogy I’ve heard when it comes to seeing the Biblical point of view vs. worldview is people who are not Christian are blind. They cannot see the Biblical evidence. The scientists are very brilliant indeed but until their eyes are spiritually opened, they cannot see the Truth. Watching Bill Nye debate with Ken Ham was a classic example. Bill made some practically laughable points but to a non Christian, he was making perfect sense.
If there was real evidence we could see it.
The fact that only believers see this "evidence" should tell you something.

What does meekness have to do with ignorance?
I would say choice. Someone chooses to be meek because of fear. (God repeatedly speaks, "Do not fear") throughout the bible. This would categorize an" ignorance. Knowing but not doing anything about it.
Meekness is being humble not putting yourself above others. Ignorance is not having the wisdom to do so. Knowledge and wisdom are totally different. You can have a PhD, knowledge, but be ignorant of the things concerning God. The closer you are to Him, the more wisdom you'll have. Hope that helps

This breaks my heart 💔 Its sad to say but JWs and Mormons who have corrupted the Scriptures beyond recognition have a better understanding of the Bible than most Christians do.
I've studied under the Protestant faith in different churches and with JWs and Mormons and the cult members act more like Christ followers than Christians do, so what does THAT tell you.
It’s not the JW’s that have corrupted the message of Christ but the Roman Catholic Church.
I grew up mormon and is inaccurate to say they are more biblically trained. The believe Jesus and Satan are brothers. That there is a heavenly mother and heavenly father whom conceive us in heaven. They believe you can earn your way to become equal with Jesus, who is our brother Not our God
that there are three kingdoms in heaven depending on your duties, which work your way up to the highest level in heaven. A woman can not go to the highest level if she doesn't have a husband or her husband is not worthy. That it's our duty on earth to baptize the dead and so on. They do not know the Bible. Joseph Smith founder of mormon cult married women who were already married to other men. They have 12 apostles to consult in case Jesus doesn't know how to answer their prayers. They don't believe Jesus is God. The mormon king James version is altered in several places and focus their teaching on the book of mormon, doctrine and covenant and pearl of great price, written by Joseph Smith and revised throughout the history of their cult. Not at all biblical. People in this following don't know the truth of who God is, and lack asking the question

Most Christians can't even answer the basic questions because they don't actually read their Bibles.
They listen to a preacher for a half hour once a week and expect that to be enough. It's ridiculous.
Well, Jesus's followers were thought of as a SECT back in Jesus's time. Jesus's words at
Matthew 5:11,12 comes to mind.
The True Christians would be persecuted,lied about and slandered.
The proof is in the pudding. Even Jesus was accused of not representing God's word by the Pharisees, the so called experts of God's word.
Matt 7:22,23 shows that many will be shocked, thinking they are doing GODS WILL but only those really doing GODS WILL will inherit his kingdom.

I've done my own video about why believe the Bible. Hopefully it will help Christians have 100% faith in God's word and give confidence to share their faith.

My religion is Bible based, all members read their Bible.
Biblical Truths:
1) God and Heaven exist outside of our reality/universe (Prime reality)
2) Everything in this universe exists separately from Heaven
3) Beings from the Prime reality (God, angels, etc) can come here and interact on some level
4) Our spirit is like our OS, our soul is like our eternal save game file
5) Because of man's 'sin', or blemish/imperfection on a perfect Creation, one day God will end this reality of ours
6) Salvation is the free gift of God to reinsert those who accept his gift's save game file into a new reality after this one is gone
I agree, but is your definition of what a soul is based more on Neoplatonism rather than the Bible.
In the Bible souls ( nephesh) are air breathers, they include animals, and far from being immortal the soul dies:
"The soul that sinneth, it shall die...," Ezekiel 18:20 KJV.

"His spirit goes out, he returns to the ground; On that very day his thoughts perish," Psalm 146:4.
Unlike what is taught in all other religions the Bible offers the hope of the resurrection.
How can you come back via a resurrection as Jesus promises he will do for us if we're already still alive somewhere else?
It is everyone's job, in the body of believers, to develop disciples, which are disciplined followers of Jesus Christ.

i think brian misspoke at 8:39 when he said we seek justice and fairness for all. we should seek fairness for all but if we seek justice we will all be condemned. there should be 3 leagues; mens, womens and trans, that would solved the problem correct.
