Norway is so wonderful. Been there twice in the last two years. Was just in Kristiansand. What a beautiful place. As for speed in Germany, I was driving my Euro delivery 2011 M3 on the autobahn at a comfortable 120mph and was completely dusted by a 5 series diesel wagon. It was glorious to just cruise at those speeds and know the other drivers were disciplined and respectful.
I do the opposite trip every year on our summer vacation. It's quite a nice drive, but germany is always a disappointment with traffic (and roadworks). Same for Belgium and Denmark. The best countries for maintaining a high average speed are France and Sweden, mostly cos there are fewer cars on the motorways. The Danes often do those border "chicanes" and stops incidentally.
Haha I agree. In Germany I often average below 100km/h despite pushing 160-180km/h in vacation traffic. Once I enter Denmark my average speed increases and in Sweden as well. In Sweden I can often average 125-130km/h (not legal, but below losing drivers licens margin).
I agree, autobahns are usually packed with cars. France is much nicer because French don’t like to pay for motorways and use local roads when they can.
To be honest, I still haven’t summarised everything but I will make a video on cost and route at the end of the series. Roughly, I think about £3k all in.
There will be a separate video on the route but I think you missed the names of the key locations showing up in the bottom right corner for a few seconds. I made it quite discreet so it’s easy to miss.

@@admranger agree with everything you wrote!
Awesome start! Already looking forward to next episode!
Thanks. I’m already working on it.
Really enjoyed this first installment- Norway isn’t a country I’ve considered for a road-trip so I’m looking forward to this series 🤔
I never did but once guys from bmwpcc planted the seed, I thought that’s a perfect opportunity to visit Scandinavia. Definitely worth doing.
Great video as usual. I can’t wait to see your experience of the roads further north.
The roads were fantastic when it comes to quality, in fact you probably won’t find better roads in Europe. But it was the passes which were amazing.
Fantastic!! We had as much fun as you did and hopefully we'll see you again in future years!!!
I hope so🤞
Absolutely awesome video’s . Looking forward to see some passes over there 🤩
Have a great time !
Thanks. Regards 👋
Love the videos! Great content. Have an M340 in the US - would love to drive some of those roads!
Thanks! A bit far from you but you can always fly and rent something. Regards 👋
Living the dream. Good luck on the adventure
Thanks. It was amazing.
Awesome😃.
Will definitely watch and follow this! Absolutely love the other roadtrips on your channel to.
Inspiring!
Thanks for visiting Norway
I absolutely loved it, although, it would be probably a bit too quiet for me long term. You are very lucky to live in such a beautiful place on earth.
@@MDrives ❤. Yes you're correct there. Can be quiet some times🙄, but love the place😍.
Question. How was you're total fuel consumption on the trip?🤔
Really nice, I enjoy it a lot. The cars and the views are beautifuls
Wait till you see next part. Regards 👋
I was in Norway (Alesund) 2 weeks ago. I loved it.

Great trip....what about a quick review of your fellow BMW driver's cars...
Well, I failed at that front unfortunately.
Nice video 👍
Thanks. Regards 👋
This trip looks incredible. What kind of price is it to do a trip like this? Maybe if a save for a couple of year i could do this trip myself. 😅

@@MDrives thanks. That's not actually too bad.
Marek you smashed it again. Awesome videos. My channel name has changed from staffsmr. However its me again.
Hi. Thanks. Best regards 👋
Nice journey...I like it. Please, be more specific about legs of the route. I don't know the port of departure and arriving.
There will be a separate video on the route but I think you missed the names of the key locations showing up in the bottom right corner for a few seconds. I made it quite discreet so it’s easy to miss.
@@MDrives ok. Thanks. I'll pay attention next time. BTW...are you originated from Poland?
Where you doing this trip in the beginning/half july? As a dutchman i remember the shitty weather we had on my smaller roadtrip.
We did it in the last week of July
catamarans are not suited to bad weather that's why everybody got sick. Actually the normal ferry is always a better option.
We didn’t know that. It was really bad but I guess I’ve experienced something new.
35.5mpg?? I have the same car (manual OG LBB) and I get 25mpg on a run 😭
That was sitting on cruise control for 4h at circa 70mph with very little traffic.
I got 29.5 MPG from the v8 at one point :D
I just did Bournemouth to Essex . 50 mph - 90 mph for 165 miles and got 34.7 mpg . I have DCT though so that extra gear means lower revs .

Yeap, not something we planned.
