- The last destination during my 12 days long road trip to the Arctic Circle. And unfortunately things didn't go to plan. A biker (RIP) lost his life and I lost my opportunity to get some track time. But, I manage to enjoy other activity I never had time to complete.

10:55 Very cool to ad the "Steilstrecke" (german for steep section) into your vid. 450m long and 27% at the steepest.
It opened in 1928 one year after the Ring was opened. Meant for testing as you said. The surface is concrete slabs/tiles with grooves.
In old days its said to be open during Touristenfahrten, so you could choose to go right towards Karussell or straight up the hill towards Hohe Acht. Love old history. :)

So sorry that you couldn‘t drive the track after your long journey. Also very sorry for the biker that died that day. I would never drive with a bike there. Maybe see you next year at the Nordschleife :-)
I will definitely go back next year. I met some bikers over there and many of them do dedicated bike only sessions which to me makes more sense.
