It's called good directing. It's because of the way they pan shots and slide the camera smoothly. they don't overcut and make sure everything is clear in terms of setting and positioning (i.e. the viewer understands the layout of the room, where those who are fighting are situated at any given moment), it's also short and snappy and to the point.
People like you are so , amature in life & have no experience at all how things work or function in an animation , vfx , cgi kind of industries Big movies have bigger budget , less time , deadlines , alot of pressure on animators & all , plus if the movie will not perform well they won't be able to pay there expenses , won't have the budget to make next movie this leads to partnership with other company which sometimes leads to chaos , than promotions , paying actors , voice actors high fee which leads to low quality content in vfx , 2d , 3d , cgi & all . Don't know which kinda scene will impress there viewer & it's direction . You can't impress everyone with it there are alot of things to consider when you write , direct , make bigger movies alot of things , in most of the cases animators & writers are helpless cause of deadlines & pressure The company boss's Don't give a shit about animators , writers employee & all at all nor the raise they deserve Plus these mini movies perform well bcoz of many reasons , you like to see a lower quality game in higher quality as an imgination so , it's easier to understand major audience in this You like it when there are more secret quest or in game movies in games & all That's not the same with movies you are dealing with an unprictable audience here Don't know which dialogue or scene might hurt the audience In most the cases the boss don't listen to writers & animators Which now a days Going on with marvel & dc they are not able to predict the audience demand & requests , cause now you'll have to consider the new generation & older generation too If this same mini movie was a bigger budget movie , I bet most of the onimusha fans would have hated it with guts People are always gonna complian specially thoes who don't have any experience in these kinda things like morons like you guys .
The golden age of Capcom, they were kings of cinematography,no one else made scenes as stylish...DMC 3,Resident Evil 4,Onimusha 3.These 3 were oozing Capcom style!!!
the best samurai intro ever made in ps2 games still look great even after many years we are in 2020 i missed the feodal japan games .........to days devloppers focus only on graphics not on experince and immersion
@@tylergalvez5033 it was cool but became very redundant after like 3 hours of gameplay. i still haven’t finished it tho i’ll give it a second chance. but i know for sure it’ll be nothing as amazing as Onimusha
I love Onimusha. One of the greatest series and nowadays a hidden gem unfortunately, for the PS2. So much fun evolving my weapons to max level, fighting bosses, exploring, in Samurai era Japan and in France as a Samurai. Great games.
I remember staying a long time at HMV in London and this was on repeat at the PLAYSTATION Section. It was the only time I played PS2 after school for I was broke back then. It still amazes Me everytime I watch this Intro. ♥️💯
when an intro still looks good 13 years later....
14 years later now!
MallyPureSmooth in a few weeks 15 years later
Yeah. Incredible choreography.
one of the best intros all time
Rapportus5 cuz of Donnie Yen
That fighting was better than most big budget movies today.
sadly i agree
Action guidance is donnie yen

The company boss's Don't give a shit about animators , writers employee & all at all nor the raise they deserve
Plus these mini movies perform well bcoz of many reasons , you like to see a lower quality game in higher quality as an imgination so , it's easier to understand major audience in this
You like it when there are more secret quest or in game movies in games & all
That's not the same with movies you are dealing with an unprictable audience here Don't know which dialogue or scene might hurt the audience
In most the cases the boss don't listen to writers & animators
Which now a days Going on with marvel & dc they are not able to predict the audience demand & requests , cause now you'll have to consider the new generation & older generation too
If this same mini movie was a bigger budget movie , I bet most of the onimusha fans would have hated it with guts

Best CGI intro ever!
exactly a argument brought me to this video
The golden age of Capcom, they were kings of cinematography,no one else made scenes as stylish...DMC 3,Resident Evil 4,Onimusha 3.These 3 were oozing Capcom style!!!
To be fair, ROBOT (JJ Abrams' company) did the opening cinematic featuring Samanosuke and Gargant. Capcom did the opening featuring Jaques.
Wut? The Kings in that matter were rather Square Enix or Kojima productions..
Re 4 cinematography is garbage
This intro blew my mind as a kid. This game is one of the most memorable to me growing up.
I hope the Netflix show can be as awesome.
Still one of my fav video game cinematics ever. Still amazing, especially for it’s time.
the best intro ever

2022 and this is STILL the Best INTRO VIDEOGAME HISTORY!!!
It's a flashback to my childhood :O

For me this intro was ahead of its time.. and still mind-blowing
One of the best intros to a game ever.
Game was a masterpiece!

This game need a Remastered version one disc all onimusha series plz capcom . One one my best games of ps2 :') .
At least they already remastered warlords for the switch
Hideo Kojima can make good remake from scratch
@@gamerstellar fk that we don't want his grubby mitts on it
It’s sad because the first one didn’t sell a lot of copy’s so that’s why they didn’t remaster the other 2
@@ivancruz9721 it has more to with rights issue due to the faces for the MC of 2 and Reno
The choreography was done by Donnie Yen himself, and the intro was directed by Takashi Yamazaki, the Godzilla Minus One guy.
I love Onimusha. One of the greatest series and nowadays a hidden gem unfortunately, for the PS2. So much fun evolving my weapons to max level, fighting bosses, exploring, in Samurai era Japan and in France as a Samurai. Great games.
What a classic game and perfect intro.
Best intro EVER!
I remember watching this on a demo disk and being in awe
Still love this - bloody awesome 2021 Happy New Year

I have just bought this game again as I started collecting Ps2 games again about 2 years ago. I can't wait for it to arrive.
What an epic battle scene!
still here i want to see anotehr Onimusha :( I miss
Still a solid intro
So it turns out Gargant was the one who killed Kaede at Yamazaki Province. Really adds a new layer of intensity to their duel in this intro.
i remember being a kid and watching this and thinking, nothing will ever look this good ever. i was wrong, but u can see why i said that
the best onimusha ever made
this intro used to scare the shit out of me when i was kid
Awesome intro music and characters great trilogy.
Remember video game openings and how they weren't just chopped up cutscene footage? God, those were the days.
When hell are we getting a remaster of this game
Yeah still and EPIC Intro!!!!
So good memories in this game 😁
when this would play on the TV inside local gaming stores 🔥🔥
Still epic in 2019
this CGI looks more like Ninja Gaiden's gameplay than Onimusha's gameplay.
yes lol
My childhood game
Bring this to ps4
6:29 boi got that Nokia🤣🤣🤣
Edit: I could’ve sworn that guy spoke English, but apparently he speaks French
Paris is where he is
Loved this game !
i missed this game
Badass trailer
This is the last game I pre-ordered.
Haaaaa... Childhood🤤🤤🤤
Ive never understood what Samanosuke says at 2:55 there. Its not the guys name cause that guy is named Gargant
gareganto
Did you guys know samanosuke went to kill him because he killed kaede?
lilskills721 That was one of the reasons. He also wanted to make sure Gargant couldn't reach Honoji Temple with reinforcements for Nobunaga.
@gogo dodo i think that's explained in Blade Warriors
@@baroquechevalier8516 yeah but i think Blade Warriors is considered non-canon
Fuck yes!
Nostalgia
Does anyone know the name of the song during the Samanosuke vs Gargant fight?
Here in 2020
Que saudade!
Video games were simply better back then.. It's all the corporate control and impossible deadline expectations that ruined gaming.
Golden age of capcom
To fanel fabien a human being must be this graphical.
That's the mast er t o it the insinct
Capcom needs to do a remake of the Onimusha games too.
Best trilogy game's sonic streets of rage final fight mega man devil may cry onimusha to many to count that are good also these will do.
Back when intros were cool and mattered
Uno de los mejores intros
Dam i miss dawn of dreams
Did you know this intro was directed by Donnie Yen?
Capcom and ea
Had so much potential
min 3:00 rompe espada
I miss the Unskippable show.
I still play Onimusha 3 and Onimusha 1 Remastered, amazing games except camera is so bad.
6:40 Nice, this french speaking guy is absolutely not Jean Reno :)
ahhh...this game needs a remake for sure..actually 1,2 and 3...not 4
kojima can make good remake from scratch
why the fuck we coulnt have that outfit in the game
Hey Capcom, just make this a game $$$$$
I still don't understand why they thought it's a good idea to place that thing over the monster's brain.
its to gareganto control the monster brain or something like that
Nowadays We have even better gameplay graphics than this CGI, I used to dream when that would happen...
Raizen, Enryuu , Shippu. My main weapons and always will be. Fuck the Buraitou, Senpumaru, and Rekka-ken XD Hated how they looked XD
thebigvidfan34 They were just ripoffs of their better versions. :P I still love Jubei though.
