Got one of these a year ago for my 2018Ford F-150 Crew Cab Lariat FX4’ and absolutely love it! It was easy to install. No regrets at all.

This is actually the type I wanted! Glad to see the truxedo brand. God willing I can get it next month.
I was leaning towards the Bak X4S, but like the cleaner lines of the Sentry. The tail gate issue was keeping my away from the Sentry, but I realize that I don't open the cover very often on any truck I've owned and would be at the tail gate anyway when I did.
Can you get this for a 2013?
I have no idea how AT installed this cover and was able to slam the tailgate shut with the cover latched. Truxedo even advises the cover should be open to use the tailgate which is very inconvenient. Ive installed two Sentry CTs, one on Line-x's F150 bed, and one with ford drop in liner. In both applications, neither were able to close the tailgate due to the angled seal colliding with the tailgate. The only way I was able to resolve it was to reverse the seal. Its a nice cover otherwise, nicer than my previous Revolver X4 (which did allow tailgate usage while closed).
What do you like about the Sentry over the Revolver?
@@jselly2013 I liked neither of them. The revolver has rails that are poorly finished and stick out past the end of the bed over the tailgate, it wasn’t finished as nice as the Sentry CT. I got rid of the Sentry after a year because it started squeaking loudly while on the highway. Replaced it with X15 pro, same fabric as sentry ct but no squeaking.
@@ATR-42 I am going to install my CT cover tomorrow and I have a Ford drop in bed liner. The liner at the forward end has a molded
J-shaped lip that hooks over the forward bulkhead at the top. Is this going to be a problem or just apply the seal right onto the bed liner upper edge ? I'm going to trim down the bed liner in some places to make it easier to remove. The cover should prevent any road sand and leaves from getting behind the bed liner like I have recently found. Getting in through the cutout holes for the tie down accesses. ATR-42 ? are you a aircraft mechanic ?
@@jetboy770371 no just a former ATR-42-320 driver. Stick the foam seal across the bed rail on the horizontal surface. I got rid of the CT after 9 months because it squeaked badly on the highway. Your bed liner tie down holes should have rubber caps.
This is how the bakflip revolver and the ford branded one should have been from factory. I was my money on the ford one. It sucks.
Doesn't Truxedo advise to close the tailgate first, then latch down the cover. The way their tailgate seal is designed closing tailgate first is recommended?
I installed two of these with the same frustrating problem of not being able to close the tailgate when the cover is shut. I reversed the seal on the cover (flipping it) and it allows free use of tailgate, sketchy work around on a $800 cover. In the video if you look close it appears like he has the rails installed high on the bed, that's the only way he got clearance.

For something that's, at most, $200 worth of material and turn around and sell it for $900 is offensive and absurd.
Imagine that. Trying to make a profit on their work, risk, engineering, and production. Those capitalist jackoffs. If it's going to put you in the poor house, maybe you should just pass on it.
Wait a minute...they don't just charge for materials? The nerve to include payroll, fica, unemployment, insurance, benefits, social security, vacation time and hopefully have two nickels to rub together when its over. If they didn't pay all that I'm sure you'd really have a rant lined up for the evil greedy corporation.
