I'd make its offense a little more potent by making it hit one more types for super effective damage, though I am not sure which one. I'd say dragon, but then I'd like to give dragon something to compensate. Maybe dragon moves are just resisted by fairy, rather than being immune to them?

They made a type that resists half the types in the game, including itself. Had to be nerfed a bit in gen 6, losing the ghost and dark resistances, but it gained a fairy resist. Pair it with a type that's good on offense, and you have a very nice pokemon.
I’m pretty sure the most drastic change you could make to the type chart would be to make steel weak to water. Imagine the catastrophic results of that? I’d love it.
Steel was a much needed type for and against Psychic, Dragon and others. For Dragon, if Steel didn't resist it, then Dragon would be an unresisted, hard to wall attacking type, prior to Gen 6. Steel is also a nice dual typing with Grass and Bug, defensive types that while aren't atrocious, tend to have common weaknesses. It also became more useful offensively against Fairy, making Steel a decent attacking type. Also, the Magnemite line having the Steel typing made them have the most amount of resistances. And it made Pokemon like Kartana (who is specially frail) be decently bulky against some resisted attacks.
and while bug/steel and grass/steel are good combo's, there are some type combo's with steel that are not very good at all, the 2 most notable ones being rock/steel and ice/steel as both combo's have a x4 weakness to 2 types (the shared one being fighting) which is extremely rough
@@bulborb8756 Despite them having 8 resistances and 1 immunity, I do agree since while they have 3 weaknesses, they're all common and 2/3 of their weaknesses are 4x ones, hence why Pokemon of that type combo aren't in higher tiers.

I know people are going to complain that "Steel just got nerfed in gen 6", but I think Steel needs to be weak to Electric. The fact that its not, makes zero sense.
Gamefreak made the steel type for the same reason as the fairy type. To correct their earlier mistake. The first generation did not have special defense and special Pokémons (usually the psychic type) were too strong. Dark and Steel types with special defense stats was GameFreak's answer. Fairy types were a similar answer to strong dragon types, which was strong because Gamefreak made them like that based on the first generation dragon - Dragonite. But Dragonite was strong because "dragon type" was meant like "boss fight" at league with Lance. After all those years GameFreak not learned anything; they still try to correct mistakes and problems with some "answer" instead of thinking about base of those problems.
Kinda disagree, I don't think GF intended or made Dragons a powerful boss type in gen 1 as a template. (To me the boss type is Psychic, GF themselves even refer to Psychic as the legendary type) Dragons are mediocre in gen 1, and are ok in gen 2 and 3. Its not until gen 4 & 5 they became outta control because the physical special split and GF slapping dragon type onto every legendary and pseudo legendary. And now we're seeing something similar to fairies.
@@devilrider39000000 Well, don't forget 1. generation of Pokémon was made and meant for adventure. For example, bug types were weak but evolved quickly - Buterfree and Beedrill. @@TlocRevelc yeah cause Steel's claim to fame is their overwhelming defensive profile, the only thing that generally keeps steel in check (well...most of them anyway) is the fact they tend to lack any form of recovery move so they aren't able to stick around too long to stall and will eventually get worn down

Steel type is the strongest type
Idk why people says fairy is broken it should be nerfed
No fairy is decent and ok type most of the time fairies have poor physical defence and it's both weaknesses are primarily physical
While steel type got everything
Good offense good defence
Tons of resistances and immunity good Pokemon everything
People say fairy is broken due to its offensive prowl, not defensive, to the point where even top vgc players fear it mainly because of zacian. Aside from the power creep of steel offensively which is what I think makes steel broken, steel is perfect as the defense sponge it was designed to be
@@TlocRevelc yeah cause Steel's claim to fame is their overwhelming defensive profile, the only thing that generally keeps steel in check (well...most of them anyway) is the fact they tend to lack any form of recovery move so they aren't able to stick around too long to stall and will eventually get worn down

Both Steel and Fairy need to be nerfed
I disagree with Steel but with Fairy, Bug should resist Fairy and Fairy should be neutral against Bug.
@@IgnitedQuils I disagree with fairy steel should be weak to electric type
Idk why people fairy to Nerf when it just alright type the only main thing about fairy is this type is strong against and immunity to dragon that's it but steel it is not just offensively good but have immunity to toxic makes it more stronger
@@viviul2003 For me it doesn't really make sense as to why Fairy should resist Bug and Bug isn't resistant to Fairy as they're related with nature. And I'm not the only one who thinks this as I saw many think the same thing.
@@IgnitedQuils fairy resisted bug both are considered tiny creatures where fairy is little big from bugs
@@IgnitedQuils Fairy types also should've been weak against Fire types since it was meant to damage nature in the wilderness. At least Steel types have been nerfed as they have more than 2 weaknesses and they were not immune to Ghost & Dark types anymore ( Not super effective though. But still hits normal now ). Fairy types should get nerfed.
