Joint aggravation control- I guess that's where the design came from. With the back you can lead your opponent by his joints. For example to move the right hand and then cut in reverse grip. It's a knife fighting technique similar to the use of a Kubotan. I guess that's also why it is so thick and not "sharp". I would say it's an self defense knife with overall utility. BTW great review.
I definitely call this more of a utility knife, either to be used by the military or civilians. It's simple just to small, and not sharp enough to be used as a "tactical" knife. The Benchmade Adamas would be a perfect example of a tactical knife (Review coming soon)
I think the Izula 2 would be better suited over this knife for people with bigger hands, I mean I have big hands and this knife fits perfect, but for slightly larger hands, I think the Izula 2 might fit the hand better. Since it it more wide in shape
I can assure you theyre not for O2 canisters. Not only is it too small, but you dont use metal tools on a canister. Thats why we have polymer oxygen wrenches
All you need is some 100 grit sand paper, and a mouse pad, or a bunch of paper towel (Or just anything that adds padding) under it, and sharpen like you would on a stone. Govkoo has a great video on how to do it :)
The gimped ramp at the top is indeed meant for pulling nails. The cutouts are Morse code. _ . _ this is what i was told by TOPS. Awesome company. Cant say enough. You get so much for your money.
9 years later still the best video's on this knife and still 9 years later want this knife.
Get one haha I just did 😅
Nice color compbination on the handle. The visual effect of this combination between tang/liner/handle scales is great.
My Iraqi jac came yesterday the the heavy feel very impressive , laid up in hospital at the moment, I’ll take a hard look at that real soon!
Awesome
How does it carry?
Thank you :)
And my TOPS cheetah came sharp, I put a RAZOR sharp edge on it with little effort, so they're to sharpen
Great review .Knives tops are of very good quality.
Just ordered mine...

Hey, that's a nice blade. I am a big fan of Tops, love my Tops BOB Fieldcraft. I would like this one as a necker. Thanks for sharing my friend.
loooks like a pretty sweet little fixed blade
!
I actually do love that knife. :)

I wish i could have as many knives as you man!
Nice review.
Depending on the branch of service, it stands for a few different things.

Going to have to remold the sheath on my Mil-Spie 3 a bit. Retention is fine. It won't fall out, but it rattles in the sheath really bad.
Those holes on top are for oxygen canisters. Most tops knife feature them.
I do not get it. Would you please explain?

nice review brother :) love it. God bless.
Nice blade...handle is ok!
Odd looking knife, but kinda cool. Thanks for the review mate :)
how do you convex a edge on a knife that didnt come with a convex edge?
is the handle big enough for large hands
It's very round, it's wide, yet skinny, if that makes sense. I have big'ish hands, and it fit fine in mine
I'm just saying that's what it stands for in this case, it's engraved on the blade
thnx!
would you call it utility knife, tactical knife or both?
I think Jac stands for "joint analysis center".
Looks like the front end of a WWII bomber.
Nah, I'm pretty sure it stands for "Junior Accountant Carrier"
First view haha. Awesome little blade !
You might want to tell TOPS about that, cause they must have engraved it on the blade wrong. Lol ;)
What happened to your thumbs
right, his left thumb is hella weird...
