I was so excited to try this peel. Unfortunately, it gave me horrible chemical burns almost immediately after application. Burns that took months to heal and left scars. Be careful. I would start with a less concentrated peel first to test your skins tolerance to this type of chemical
This specific AHA is very high in acidity. It’s important to neutralize the skins ph with a neutralizer like baking soda afterwards, otherwise the residual of this chemical peel will be intense. Sunscreen is also very important!!
OMG YES, love you seriously! I was just noticing all my dry, flakey grossness the other day wondering if I could use this product on my body and yup!! Thank you ❤️✌🏻
It takes time to get the peel on, a few minutes. So when do you start the timer, from the moment it touches your elbows, or when you've finished? And, if the former, doesn't that mean many areas don't get full peel benefit? Also, please more body skin focused videos. This was great!
I was thinking about that too. I feel like doing different body parts at one time would be the best solution. Like first back/butt rinse, arms/chest rinse, legs/thigh rinse.
Oooooh you are brilliant! You. Are. Wonderful.👏 I've been pondering over this idea for ages and have NEVER found an in depth video on it. (Only ever used it on my heels and it's okay) But now I can move up to my legs💃 I'm starting immediately.🥰 Thank you Cassandra.
Girl, seeing you wear that peel ON YOUR FACE for the entire 12min video (that probably took double that time to sit down and film) is making me STRESSEDD
I mean, she has said in the past that she does it for way longer than the 10 min in the past and has very resilient skin, just does not recommend it cause that would be irresponsible.
I just finished taking off my sunscreen for the day and was getting ready to do my first peel this year (I never remember to use it more than 3x/year). What great timing!!! Also, wow, what a figure! 😍😍😍 Edit: the advice you gave regarding not applying this to areas where skin rubs together is great advice. The last time I used this, I did my face and neck as normal, but I slept with my religious medal around my neck. The texture of the fine gold chain rubbed against the base of my neck while I slept, and when I woke up, the skin on that area on the side I sleep on had rubbed right off! Thankfully, I heal very quickly, and my skin was fine by the next day. That area is still slightly lighter in complexion than the rest of my neck . 😅
Who knew Cassandra had such a bangin bod!!? 💜 Nice job!! Thank you for showing me this. I was wondering if we could use this on our whole bods!!! I'm ordering now! 💰
You read my mind! Tried everything but this for the bumps around my knees and upper arms. Will be doing it for sure. Thanks for the details and hard work.
I actually used it 2 times on my chest and arms because of severe hyperpigmentation from old acne scars, present acne and acne scars It does help me a lot and make me glow it doesn't irritate me with 10 min once a week so far, but I use a lot of actives for my body hyperpigmentation and might likely focus more on chemical exfoliation I advise vaseline on areas that you want to protect, like around the armpits or neck
@@mirasingh7428 It's more brightening but in general exfoliation should eventually lead to lightening if you had a previous tan (which most people do) IF you wear sunscreen diligently As for sensitive skin no idea. It may not tolerate it. If it stings wash it off and build tolerance or look for something less strong
@@mirasingh7428 for stretch marks tretinoin and microneedling seem more appropiate, or laser Peels do increase collagen production in studies (e.g. 12% Lactic Acid 2x/d) but I think the others mentioned are more elegant solutions. For the hyperpigmentation you can still use melanin inhibtors like kojic acid soap, arbutin toners or so and use spf (But also: medical/cosmetic professionals might be better to consult I'm just here for a hobby)
@@eliftok7877 that's really nice of u that u explained very well Actually a dermatologist also recommend microneedling But I cannot afford it right now So looking for some other options. Is tretenoin good for stretch marks? Can u explain how to use it? Sorry to bother u
Oh yeah, I've always used it on my knees and elbows and down my arms and legs. Chest area is given along with the face, neck and nape of course. Love love love this baby. Tried exfoliants from other brands but I keep coming back to The Ordinary. ♥️
I LOVE this stuff for my face! I also use it in a huge 3rd degree burn scar on my leg. Because the burn was so deep there’s no more oil glands so the skin is constantly dry and flaky no matter how much moisturizer I put on it so I use this once a week to get rid of the dead skin then moisturize it.
Cassandra I have purchased this exfoliate glove from Australia calles cheeky glow. It is the BEST exfoliation for me better than any drug store gloves or exfoliation salts. I think this is probably safer and also quicker. Love your videos xxx
What you describe is a physical exfoliation. The AHA+BHA Peeling Solution is a chemical one. Depending on the skin type of any individual one can be helpful of harmful. I would recommend trying both but not at the same time. Physical exfoliation is more okay for the skin of the body because the skin on the body is thicker that the one on the face. Chemical exfoliation takes more time to see results since is more gentle on the skin (in some cases is not, like I said, it depends) but both can be good.
Great idea & video! I have used this many times on my face, neck and chest but never thought to go further. I am going to venture in with a lower body peel this week!
I have eczema scars and just today my sister suggested I do this. I have used it multiple times on my face so I am 100% sure I won’t break out but I really appreciate your video and I will definitely do it now
Please DO NOT USE THE PEELING SOLUTION on your body if you have sensitive skin, there is 197437603763076202630376 options that are safer and effectiveas well. Cassandra has been using it for quite some time and her skin allows her to do so but it isn't the case for everyone.
i actually do this, i use tretinoin on my face but with my body i use the ordinary peel it tingles slightly but not for too long and its bearable the only difference is that i apply it before i hop into the shower because my skin is dry so washing my body twice is not an option for me
oooo i use an AHA BHA exfoliant with much lower glycolic concentration (8%) and it already makes so much difference in texture, my knees and elbows would love this
This video couldn't have come at a better time. Just when I was actually planning on buying this for mainly my legs (my face doesn't need this harsh of a product).
I need to start doing this because my body skin is EXTREMELY prone to ingrown hairs and I got keratosis pilaris (chicken skin) pretty much everywhere 😂 foooking sucks!😅
10 minutes is appropriate for the facial skin, which tends to be thinner and more sensitive. I have sensitive, dry skin and I put this mask on my thighs for KP, leaving it on for 20 minutes. It works ok but not quite as good as Glytone glycolic body lotion, which is wildly overpriced in my opinion. You kind of have to be consistent with it. I really wish Ordinary would make an acid body lotion.
I'm totally going to use this on my dry ass elbows and I definitely want to use this on my legs. Oh my gosh Edit: I use this mostly on my nose. My nose is so oily and needs help. And I use this on blemishes. Works like a charm
I have been using this for my glutesonce a weel for 5 months and it works wonders. I had foliculitis before i got laser, but after i got laser hair removal i still had some dark spots and i can honestly say that using this peel once a week has definitley contributed towards clearing up the entire area!
Omg sorry- i hadn’t seen this! I don’t use on my bikini line, but after I finished laser sessions in my armpits i also used it and worked! However for sensitive skin maybe you might want to use something less abrasive like glicolic acid once a week. Hope this helps!
I have half a bottle of the peeling solution in the door in my mini fridge that I use as my skincare fridge (because I need my skincare fridge to have room for A LOT of products!!). It’s been there untouched for a couple of months because I’ve stopped doing the at home-chem peelings twice a week in favor of facials at the salon. When I used TO AHA&BHA peeling, I usually only did it for under five minutes and I really babied my skin afterwards. But sure, maybe I should give myself a little peeling on my bum-bum 😸 Just to boost the smooth game a little.. 🦋🌼Great video!! 🌺🐝
I actually tried it on my body for KP and then a family emergency occured so i had to pack in 20 minutes and go away. Two days later i'm starting up the fireplace and my arm is dry as the sahara. I remembered i had exfoliated my skin but didn't pack an ounce of lotion (i'm bad at this i just started trying to get into a regiment). Between no lotion and my stints by the fire, i was full snake mode. The inside of my skinny jeans? Unmentionable.
I've been using TOPS weekly for about 3 months. I decided to try it on my body for the first time today. I used it on the base of my neck for small friction-related dark marks, my breasts for sebaceous filaments and pimples, and my inner thighs for large dark marks from friction and pimples AND blackheads. I cleansed and dried per the video. I started with my face because I know it tolerates the peel well, then worked my way down. When I was done, I set my timer for just 6 minutes in case these new areas didn't react the same as my face. I got the same mild stinging sensation that I always feel on my face, nothing more. No redness except on my face, probably because I didn't leave it on as long on my body. Afterwards, I used fragrance-free lotion on the treated areas. Hopefully there's no reaction over the next couple days.
I wouldn't dare use this on my face or neck. Both areas have dry, sensitive skin. However...I'm been thinking about trying a chemical peel on the rough, bumpy skin on my upper back and arms. With caution, and following all directions very carefully.

This specific AHA is very high in acidity. It’s important to neutralize the skins ph with a neutralizer like baking soda afterwards, otherwise the residual of this chemical peel will be intense. Sunscreen is also very important!!
We need more full body products! Especially severely dry skin! Love you
I'm doing my husband's knees & elbows in the morning! He needs it. TY for teaching me. I would've never thought to put this on my body.
I love your energy. I’ve been procrastinating forever. Happy I finally took a step and got to exfoliate my knees and elbows. Thanks!
You. Are. Wonderful.👏
I've been pondering over this idea for ages and have NEVER found an in depth video on it. (Only ever used it on my heels and it's okay) But now I can move up to my legs💃
I'm starting immediately.🥰 Thank you Cassandra.
Never thought of using a chemical peel on my body! Don’t really need it, but will give it a try👍🏼 HugsfromNYC 🍎
You should
I add my Instree aha in my body moisturizer, I tell you it will change you body forever
This is brilliant. I have to try it! I already love this peeling for my face.
Btw - the ordinary needs to make 1000ml bottles for this product 😉
Girl, seeing you wear that peel ON YOUR FACE for the entire 12min video (that probably took double that time to sit down and film) is making me STRESSEDD
I mean, she has said in the past that she does it for way longer than the 10 min in the past and has very resilient skin, just does not recommend it cause that would be irresponsible.
I just finished taking off my sunscreen for the day and was getting ready to do my first peel this year (I never remember to use it more than 3x/year). What great timing!!! Also, wow, what a figure! 😍😍😍
Edit: the advice you gave regarding not applying this to areas where skin rubs together is great advice.
She used to be a model! Might still be on occasion but she hasn't mentioned it in a video.
I’m kind of obsessed with your curly hair pony tail. Cute!!
Your bathroom is amazing! I love the bench seat in the shower especially. Thanks for the sunscreen recommendations, too.
You read my mind! Tried everything but this for the bumps around my knees and upper arms. Will be doing it for sure. Thanks for the details and hard work.
This peel was tea for my dry skin. I got a bottle from ulta during the beginning of the pandemic and wow. Smooth skin the next morning. 🥰
I actually used it 2 times on my chest and arms because of severe hyperpigmentation from old acne scars, present acne and acne scars
It does help me a lot and make me glow
it doesn't irritate me with 10 min once a week so far, but I use a lot of actives for my body hyperpigmentation and might likely focus more on chemical exfoliation
I advise vaseline on areas that you want to protect, like around the armpits or neck
Does it lighten skin ?
Can people who have sensitive skin use this ?
@@mirasingh7428 It's more brightening but in general exfoliation should eventually lead to lightening if you had a previous tan (which most people do) IF you wear sunscreen diligently
As for sensitive skin no idea. It may not tolerate it. If it stings wash it off and build tolerance or look for something less strong
@@eliftok7877 thank u for replying...
I have strech marks and pigmentation on hips
So that is why I want to try..
@@mirasingh7428 for stretch marks tretinoin and microneedling seem more appropiate, or laser
Peels do increase collagen production in studies (e.g. 12% Lactic Acid 2x/d) but I think the others mentioned are more elegant solutions. For the hyperpigmentation you can still use melanin inhibtors like kojic acid soap, arbutin toners or so and use spf
(But also: medical/cosmetic professionals might be better to consult I'm just here for a hobby)
@@eliftok7877 that's really nice of u that u explained very well
Actually a dermatologist also recommend microneedling
But I cannot afford it right now
So looking for some other options. Is tretenoin good for stretch marks?
Can u explain how to use it?
Sorry to bother u
Omg a whole bottle one day after seeing this my body is like whatcha waiting for bring me some ordinary stuffs😂
Sis sorry those bots have made your reply section worst but nice comment😂
Never thought to use on my body- particularly knees and elbows! Fabulous! Thank you!
Oh yeah, I've always used it on my knees and elbows and down my arms and legs. Chest area is given along with the face, neck and nape of course. Love love love this baby. Tried exfoliants from other brands but I keep coming back to The Ordinary. ♥️
Does it lighten skin
I want to try it on my knees and hips
How frequent do you use this product on your knees and elbowz?
0:10 Omg how come you're naturally beautiful Cassandra!! Your just too damn gorgeous 🤩🤩
Please, has it improved the color of the scar? I have scar on my thigh from falling as well…it’s going about a year now. The scar is still dark.
I’ve been using it on parts of my body for years 😂 the lactic acid one as well! Glad to know I’m not the only one
Do you wash off the lactic acid ?
I do this before shaving, and then use a CBD moisturizer after shaving. It really helps the appearance of my KP
Great idea & video! I have used this many times on my face, neck and chest but never thought to go further. I am going to venture in with a lower body peel this week!
I have eczema scars and just today my sister suggested I do this. I have used it multiple times on my face so I am 100% sure I won’t break out but I really appreciate your video and I will definitely do it now
How did it work out
Thank you! My KP gets on my nerves. I will try this!
omg I love the natural-hair-cassandra-in-a-robe! sooo cute😻
Omg I'm so glad you posted this. I have sun damage on my arms and chest and been wondering how to treat it.
Did it work for you?
Next video: “I filled my bathtub with The Ordinary peeling solution!”
After that: “I filled a pool with The Ordinary peeling solution!”
R.I.P. the vagina
Cassandra turns mr beast 😂
😂😂😂
Not the gonads 🤣
Please DO NOT USE THE PEELING SOLUTION on your body if you have sensitive skin, there is 197437603763076202630376 options that are safer and effectiveas well. Cassandra has been using it for quite some time and her skin allows her to do so but it isn't the case for everyone.
yeah, it's better to use a salicylic face wash
i actually do this, i use tretinoin on my face but with my body i use the ordinary peel it tingles slightly but not for too long and its bearable the only difference is that i apply it before i hop into the shower because my skin is dry so washing my body twice is not an option for me
Your skin is so white and pretty. I use this on my face I love it
I was literally just hinking if this would be a good idea since I love this product so much! PERFECT!
This is brilliant and for some reason never occurred to me. Thanks Cassandra!
Definitely wanna do spot treatments. Thank you for this. :)
i love that you did this video with the mask on
oooo i use an AHA BHA exfoliant with much lower glycolic concentration (8%) and it already makes so much difference in texture, my knees and elbows would love this
This video couldn't have come at a better time. Just when I was actually planning on buying this for mainly my legs (my face doesn't need this harsh of a product).
Wow you just said everything in just one take in one application with in 10 mins impressive 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Just started using it for my back acne it helps so much!
I'm totally going to use this on my dry ass elbows and I definitely want to use this on my legs. Oh my gosh
Edit: I use this mostly on my nose. My nose is so oily and needs help. And I use this on blemishes. Works like a charm
Does it lighten skin ?
I love this idea so much omggg
I have been using this for my glutesonce a weel for 5 months and it works wonders. I had foliculitis before i got laser, but after i got laser hair removal i still had some dark spots and i can honestly say that using this peel once a week has definitley contributed towards clearing up the entire area!
Do u use it on private part darkness ?
I have a sensitive skin and stretch marks
Can I use it ?
Please reply
Please do more body videos! There's so much to learn yet!
I do use ordinarys glycolic acid toner on my body and works also great :) and for the big bottle it makes it eaven more afordable :D ^^
I came here to say this. I’m scared of the red stuff, but the glycolic acid toner works for me.
I might want Cassandra to put on a workout routine
Love this video. I want more videos about haircare I'm kinda lost with my scalp
I wouldn't use this on my face, as even the Glycolic Acid Toner stings a bit, but my body is loving it.
I do this every 2 weeks to help get rid of my horrible backne scars
Does your skin peel
I was thinking about doing this a week ago and just got that video recommended to me ! Thank you Cassandra for all the helpful tips 🥰
Thanks! I'm going to Mexico in a few weeks. Bathing suit!! I can't wait to try it on my legs and arms.
Can you do an “at home hole bleaching” video next pls
If you mean your butt hole... just don't do it, it's ridiculous and dangerous.
OMG I was thinking of putting this product on my body acne but I wasn't sure if it is a good idea. This video found me and I'm so thankful ❤️
Ooooh! Thanks for sharing :)) Would love to see more full-body skin care videos from you!
I started doing tca 30 body peels . Amazing!
Omg my still inflamed patch test needs to see this😂😅🦋🦋
Ohhhhh i needed that doing this today !!!!
Thank you for this video! I never thought of doing this but it would be so helpful.
Hi, did it work for your body?
Hi how are the results?
Does it lighten skin
I love this stuff definitely doing this weekend!!! Pacifica sunscreen is my favorite esp the sparkly kind!!! Love your videos!!! ❤️
I got this for the Sephora sale as a backne mask
You can get this in the UK can’t wait to try it! Thanks for the tips
Thanks for this thorough video!!
AhA/BHA yah I put this shit on EVERYTHING! !….. LOL LOVE THIS!❤️😊
More body care videos please!!😍😍😍I’m now like ok now I know what to do with my face but what do I do with the rest of this skin suit
I was thinking about doing this for long time. But I was not sure. Thank you 😊
Omg she did it
I can't wait to be this when I go to America
I CAN'T WAIT TO TRY THIS ❤😍
Was anyone anxious thinking that she had this on her face for more than 10 mins?
I wouldn't dare use this on my face or neck. Both areas have dry, sensitive skin.
However...I'm been thinking about trying a chemical peel on the rough, bumpy skin on my upper back and arms. With caution, and following all directions very carefully.
Guys, just use the salt or the sugar scrubs 🤗
I use it on my neck. I hate my dark neck and this lightens it.
Why did this video make me so happy!
I use this to my scars on my legs, the dark colouring has vanished!
Mine is about to expire to this is perfect! Bacne back off!!
