Hey, good day everybody! It's nice and sunny here today. In today's video, I'll show you how I'll be harvesting some corn that have been growing here for a while. I believe it's now the time to harvest.
Step-by-Step Guide:
Identifying Ready Corn:
Tassels: The corn tassels, or "hairs," are already brown.
Thickness: Check the thickness of the corn. This one is looking thick and nice.
Opening the Corn: Remove the layers and check inside. Be aware of pests; here, a caterpillar has eaten a bit.
Liquid Check: Squeeze the corn and check the liquid. If it’s milky, not clear, the corn is ready.
Color: The kernels should be slightly white turning yellow. You can leave it a bit longer, but I prefer to harvest now.
Harvesting Corn:
To harvest, pull the corn down and twist. You'll hear a breaking sound.
Here we go-beautiful corn! I'm very happy with the result. Last year, storms and pests ruined my corn, so this is great.

My corn is “on deck” corn for pots. And is only four feet tall. But it’s growing ears that may turn out nice 🤷♂️
four feet is not bad, how big does this variety grow? mine grew around 6 to 7 feet.
