    i got interested in this because my boss talked to me about cleaning the movie theatre i work at, he said to clean 7 theatres the company recieved bids and the lowest sofar was 3,000, he said i should start my own business and make a 2 grand bid, but i wanted to find out what i was getting myself into first because i dont want to end up taking a job that i end up unprepared for.. your channel has my hopes up, even if i dont get the 2 grand bid , just moving forward with my own side hustle for supplementary income is worth the time spent here on youtube learning these things. the biggest thing i was afraid of was the business license and the liability insurance. as well as ending up doing a job and getting told that the carpet got mold afterward. bec my theatre is huge and its winter i am not really sure its economical to take the 2k job since it would take hours to dry up and i might end up spending more on multiple air movers and dehumidifyers than i would make cleaning them.

    Great deal on your carpet cleaning business course. I wonder if the city population count has an effect on what t charge. A lot of carpet cleaning outfits here only charge between $75 to $120 for 3 to 4 rooms. A lot of Walmart shoppers here... population 300k. we have something called winter here. Yeah true story and many cleaners slow way down to the point they drop prices to get gigs. Plus it’s cold, wet, etc different demographics. Chem-dry owns this city when it comes to VLM. However, I’m a SEO strategist too and I could out rank them by spring I bet.

    • @greenrhinoproject
      @greenrhinoproject  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      To figure what to charge get a quote from them and copy. aim for the high end customers that focus on great reviews. And yes offer VLM for the snow seasons....Price shoppers don't like me but I don't need them and Id rather not because those jobs are usually the worst.

    I was wondering how did you set up your availability when carpet cleaning was your side hustle? I work full time and would like to clean after hours and on the weekends aswell. How did you market your availability?

    • @greenrhinoproject
      @greenrhinoproject  3 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      I just booked the soonest available. so I would schedule small jobs after work and bigger jobs on weekend. or bunch up jobs for weekend. I would usually work only Saturdays so I can have a day off on Sunday. Most people have no problem if your booked out a week. When a customer calls ask them what date works best for them and go from there. The customer don't know its a side hustle so if you book an afternoon appointment they just think your moaning's are booked up. Hope this helped

      Van mounted because it’s quieter for customers inside and don’t have to empty and refill in middle of jobs plus most truckmounts have better vacuum and psi. But I started with a portable. They will do the job.
