i'm reading the comments and i am genuinely surprised people want to move here to saskatoon. i was born and raised here, i just turned twenty seven. you will really miss the weather in vancouver though guys, it's not uncommon for the weather to dip into the -40s and -50s! the summer's get hot, and the weather is extremely bipolar here. you experience all four seasons in a day around this time of year. best luck to you all. you'll fall in love with saskatoon, especially during the summer months. unfortunately due to covid i can't see much festivals going on but we usually have many festivals going on around the city. p.s: was that the coquihalla route? i drove through that last year to visit my brother (he lives in coquitlam) with my mum, we're never driving through the mountains again lmaooo. don't get me wrong, it's stunning, but the weather gets so crazy through there that i will be flying from now on haha. also the fact a semi smacked a rock into her windshield while we were driving up a mountain and i didn't like having to pay for the replacement. :')
Hopefully the vaccine rollout goes well and the summer opens up. Yes that was through the coquihalla I’ve driven it several times so I suppose it’s not as scary. Preparation is key!
Why did you move from Vancouver, where palm trees grow, to Saskatoon? I experienced a blizzard in 1978 on HWY 1 in Canada in 1978 and have never forgot it. In my old age my bones hurt thinking about it. I live in western Oregon US and the climate is very mild here. My mother is from northern Alberta. I've been up there,Alberta, in the summer and it's fantastic with the long summer days. I was in the Fairbanks, AK area in December 1977 and it was 50 below F with ice fog! I'm fascinated that people live in these cold places which are so drastically different from the mild west coast climate. There are days in the winter here that are t-shirt weather.
hi bro , i was wondering if you can help me to move there, i mean can you send me more informations about how to apply and what should i do to get the visa there. i can speak 4 languages and i have a master's degree . thanks
Moved to Saskatoon a couple of months ago. Beatiful city!
Still looking for a job, but I hope I will make it.
Keep us upto date, I might move there myself, from Vancouver.

my gf and I made the trip from New West to Saskatoon back in October. MUCH better driving through the mountains and prairies without the snow! :)
Welcome to Saskatoon Charlie. Maybe we'll see each other around some time neighbor!
Is it safe here man? I'm interested in moving possibly myself from Burnaby. Something cheaper, I dont mind the cold I grew up near Winnipeg

Rent is hell of a lot cheaper and wages are the same for many jobs I also find there are a ton more jobs
Kinda nice being able to drive without corners and hills and bridges and massive traffic jams out on the prairies

Why are you leaving Vancouver?? It's a beautiful city
very expensive
@@WiW14 true. But why not Calgary?
@@billsutherland3935 calgary's fine but its also reasonably expensive and its a pretty large city too saskatoon is quieter and easier to commute in

谢谢分享!路上都是雪,幸好有撒盐,要不然每天都在冰上行使。加油!年轻人!
在萨省为了保护土壤和地下水,下雪不撒盐和融雪剂的,只撒小石子!

Why leave Vancouver tat looks more like a big beautiful city to Saskatoon
Because you can still buy a house in Saskatoon. You have to be a millionaire to buy one in Vancouver now.
I like living in a small-medium beautiful city
saskatoon is the worst pleasestay in Vancouver haha its alot warmer.
Heck of a lot cheaper to live there too.
