As an Albertan, I love Saskatchewan and I think it is very underrated! I have spent a lot of time in both Saskatoon and Regina, and I think Saskatoon is the nicer city overall. Thanks for the video!
Yea I feel like you haven't been to Saskatoon In a while if you think its nicer. Crime has been out of control the last couple of years especially downtown. Lots of things have closed the last few years the restaurant scene has kinda shit the bed we have a few decent l restaurants left but the quality has gone down since covid. I'd say he's right both cities are basicaally the same. I always felt Saskatoon peaked in 2016 and has been at a slow decline since accelerated by covid. I'd put money on Regina being the nicer city in 15 years i just don't see the gang issue in Saskatoon getting any better we have the same amount of murders as Calgary…
I remember traveling in Canada back in 2001 and that was one of the things I liked regarding safety and warring's. We were on a trail over looking some falls as I looked down there was broken up concrete with re-bar sticking out and I thought here is an accident waiting to happen then I saw the sign I loved, 'Travel at your own risk', I was told by a local, "that is why there are no ambulance chasers in Canada". I guess things have changed.
I plan to move to Saskatoon in next June '22, and start my Canadian life. I become one of the early subscriber of your great channel. Hope you will become a great content creater and outstanding Canadian.
i think many of the signs are based of freeing the cities from liability or litigation issues. As for the pond signs, we have them here in calgary as well. That is because during heavy rain storms the ponds act as flood control from surrounding areas and these ponds can rise extremely fast and be dangerous to small kids. you would be surprised how that pond can swell so fast because backed up sewer water flows into them.
So weird seeing a zoo...I live in BC where the zoo's are all banned and now shut down.... The only zoo that's up and running is BCs legislature building in Victoria 🤪
It isn't common sense. Those are storm water retention ponds. That means that during a heavy rain, the water can rise an unexpected amount due to water being diverted there to prevent flooding. If it was a normal pond, no sign there wouldn't be a danger and therefore they wouldn't post a sign.

i live saskatoon for sort time when i was very young then we moved back to Regina few months later
