Thanks for making & posting that video Bill. You are a good horseman - thank you for sharing your philosophy and letting us into your world. Your horses are fortunate.

I can think of a lot of "dead-broke" horses that would lay you out if you pulled on their tail to steer them. He's been taught a great deal. Cheers, Bill!

If I had the ranch I want I would kick my weaned colts out on a few thousand acres and let them run in a herd , learn how to step over badger holes , deal with grizzly, and grow up till they are 4. Then I would gather them and start working with them. I just halter broke my two year olds and a friend told me I should've done it earlier so I told him to come over my second day of working with them and he was blown away how good they were, but I said they had two years to learn pressure and release running in a herd. Now those twos are kicked back out on pasture and I won't bother with them till next summer.

I am surprised I have not heard this horse ranching “program” idea before now! I might be giving you too much credit for a heritage concept, but that would be so AWESOME! Props, Canuck.

It's the best way to raise them . Especially if there going to be ranch ,trail horses .

That's close to the traditional way of raising Royal Spanish horses in Andalusia, except that they may leave them till they are six or so. It has its merits; because they are started late they can often be ridden regularly into their 20s.

The majority of persons have no idea how intelligent horses really are. Establishing a good rapport with a horse is imperative. I have recommended your videos to a few people who are working with horses that have never been ridden. One of them, did come to your channel and watched many of your early training sessions with different horses. She let me know that your methods are what she is using at home even though she enrolled in a class before she found out about your videos. I'll have to share this one too.

I am a native Texan so am used to a drawl. However, you took too long to say anything. Sounds as if you were drunk. If you were not, I guess you just sound like that naturally. Am most anxious to learn about horses from an experienced person. I will listen to some more of your videos. Thanks.
