Thanks for an informative video ...I have wanted an A10 for some time....I just purchased the A10 thru your link to Banana Hobbies for $189...couldn't resist...
Thanks Ken...great flyer!
Adam, your content is always fantastic! Very organized, professionally presented and expert knowledge shared. Love it and appreciate the channel!!
Roland thanks so much man!
5 🌟👌Review. The A-10 is definitely my favorite warbird, I only have 'bout 5 of em from UMX's to the big Freewing 🤠 and enjoy them all.
They do fly great Robert. That big 80mm FW is on my list at some point.
THX Adam! This is the only jet on my wish list!! this one looks cool!!! Love the "Hand launch" grip, need to do this on other planes I have!
You'll dig it Joel. The grip really works well!
If I were a Jet guy.....
Great Presentation as always.
Excellent upgrade advise.
Thanks!
🤩I love the A10, very nice review Adam, thanks for doing what you do! ☠Semper Fi!
Thanks man!

Thanks Wayne! Lol...you know plenty bro...like how to build a master series FT kit...better than the masters do it!
Nice review Adam. I really like the A-10 and it looks like a great model of it to have fun with.
Thanks Tony! It really is a good flyer. I think now that I have that grip on it the gear is staying off!
As always a really nice presentation of the little A-10. Great job!
Thanks David!
I've had my eye on this one for a while, looks like I may need to give one a try 😉
Very good flyer Chris. Hammers the batteries, but it is fun for sure.
great flight and info ! 👍👍
Thanks man!
Thank you so much for the shoutout ❤
Happy to do it! Hope your pop got a kick out of it!
Outstanding!
Thanks Trevor!
Hi Adam it's Lee from UK. You may remember me I was a returning rc flyer after watching one your shows decided to get the fms pitts quite few months ago now. Well I got the pitts done with red and white checkers on it and USA flags on cowling painted rivets and even dolly bird on pitts with 100esc with carbon 16x10 prop.
Well now I have these models to maiden 1/4 SE5A, 1/4 Youngminster, 1/4 Stampe, 1/4 Balsa usa Sopworth pup, 1/4 Gypsy Moth and tiger moth and 1/4 sukhoi all electric planes. wish you could test fly them lol but I get job done one flight at time. Thanks for your shows and letting me find the hobby back again chocks away 😊
Hey Lee! Of course I remember you man. I'm so glad you are thriving in the hobby again! Man that is quite the fleet of big airplanes you've got. Awesome! I've flown a BUSA 1/4 Sopwith Pup...great flyer. Keep us posted on your progress. Best of luck with the maidens!
Great review, as always!
Thanks very much!
TOP REVIEW BEST ALL AROUND GREAT ADVICE 👍
Much appreciated!
Adam great review, have been using the up elevator to throttle mix for years which really makes a hand toss better for sure. Xfly EDF Jets are a blast, zoom zoom zoom Jeff in LA USA
They are Jeff! Thanks man.
Adam, one very Comprehensive review of the Xfly A10 - but you did forget to say one thing - "DO NOT DO WHAT FT DID - make sure you strap you battery down "!.. if you don't - give yourself 1.5 mins of wonderful flying time and watch it smash into the ground because the battery moved all the way into the nose !!!! - it is then fit for the trash 😞
Lol! Thanks Martyn. Yeah man those battery straps come in handy...
Great video !! You inspired me to get one so off to Madian tomorrow morning🇺🇸
Awesome! Enjoy it and good luck on your maiden!
Great review of a great EDF model, I love flying my one!! Although not as well as you Adam, doesn't it sound great too, as always great filming and editing Heidi 😀👍
Thanks Ian! Your videos made me want one...
I bought this plane a couple of months ago. When hand launching, it similar to throwing a spear, slight angle up, Safe on. For landings, I coated parts of the bottom with 30 minute epoxy. For the front, I bought some heavy spring wire and bent it into a shallow hook, ground part of if flat to utilize the nose gear mount and lock it place. This keeps the nose out of the ground and at least I can keep the gun in place. The little pod was wiped out on my second flight. She's heavy but I love how the plane flies, to me she's a EDF version of a P-51.
Seems heavy like you said, but that is one way to do it. It should come with plastic on the bottom in a few spots. Still, awesome airplane!
Great Jet indeed. Love the set up & flights Adam + the tee.
If i bought this model, i would install an oleo front gear. A hobby shop in Hong Kong sells this to suit for a few dollars.
Wonderfully flown & filmed guys
🇺🇸🇦🇺
Thanks Noel! This thing would look great over the beach...just sayin' Lol
I love how you break everything down in this video! 🎉
Thanks man!
Awesome Flying as usual!!! Thank you for your prayers 🙏🏼 I saw the reply in the other video before I looked at this one.
Hope you and Mrs Heidi have a great day and a awesome weekend!
Thanks Adam! Hope y'all have a great weekend as well.
@@ModelAV8RChannel 👍🏼🙏🏼🤙🏼
Well done review.. (as always...). What an impressive little plane.. Great vertical performance and stable.. Great tips on the handlaunch grippy thingy, but you really need Heidi a 3D printer for her craft room.. 🙂
Thanks man! You know me when it comes to the shop...I'm old school with a lot of balsa and ply laying around. 3D printer would be cool though.
Great info and flight. Your landings are the best!
Thanks Mark!
Awesome flight great job Adam 👍👍
Thanks Frank!
Looks like a little beast, Adam! That's another thorough review. I ask myself, is there a better channel than Model AV8R for this in-depth stuff? Answer is that I don't think so.
Aww Gina, thank you so much! This one is fun, and it has a big ol' cannon. Heck yeah! Lol.
I used 2800 dynamite packs , very hot , then 2600 roaring top , much better , now I use smc 2800 Hv and they still are warm when done , fun plane
You fly that plane better than they do the in the promo vid
Ha! Thanks man! Yeah this one is hard on the packs.
Awesome model and great piloting! Now you just need to weather that bad boy to look combat seasoned including about 50 or more holes thru the body lol
Thanks very much!
Great review Adam. When I get mine assembled, I'll be using smc 2800. 2200 just aren't enough for this one. AH...
Thanks man, you're gonna love it!
A lot to like about this model. The size, simplicity and battery requirements check the boxes for me.The T-7A 64mm is a beautiful model and will be my first X-Fly plane. This A-10 will be the second.
Flown them both Dan and they are both great flyers.
Another plane that your skills made shine, Adam! I wish there was more appreciation out there for quality content like yours, that come with a lot of good background info and more of a documentary style, rather than commercial. Stay with this presentation, it is a very welcome contrast to other channels, where the audience is overstimulated with ‘awesome’ shouts and how much fun the plane is. I hope your channel will get the attention that it deserves, very soon! Now, after all the praise, a final comment on the A10 😅: Even a single EDF can turn a battery into a handwarmer, so, the actual surprise is, that the dual EDF don’t make it burst into flames. 😂 One might guess, that such discharge cycles might make LiPos age dramatically. (Like frequently charge at 5C - it won’t explode, but don’t be surprised if it only reaches half the advertised cycles.)
Amazing, how much of an impact the landing gear has! You were right with all you said, but I found it very noticeable/impressive, how much faster the A10 flew without it. Is this also some EDF typical characteristic? Haven’t noticed this as much on a prop plane.
I personally think, that there is little that is more graceful, like a well performed take off or landing on a gear, but for the sake of flight performance, I would probably leave it off most of the times - and certainly copy your launching aid 😊 👍🏻. Great job and very helpful recommendations. Thank you!
Wow Alexander, thanks man! Really appreciate that. We're going to keep plugging along!
It does move on out with the gear off. I've seen that big of a difference before, but it is sporadic, not really an attribute of only one plane type.
Why are the two landing gears pointing in the same direction? Shouldn't the right gear be pointing outward aswell?
Beautiful plane and great review.
Thanks! And yes, you are the only one to catch that. They mistakenly sent two of the same gear instead of a L& R. Worked though, and I leave them off anyway. Lol
Great info Adam, I’ve still to build and fly mine yet my prob is I’ve run outta space to store them I need a bigger hanger lol 😂
Thanks man! Don't we all need a bigger hangar...Lol!
@@ModelAV8RChannel lol definitely plus you can never have enough planes just more time to fly them, big salute 🫡 ,G🇬🇧
So true!
Just want to say thanks very much for the shoutout , made my day! Also was it a narrow bladed prop you put on the bison xt?
Hey Simon! Man you are very welcome. Thank you for watching us!
Yep, it was a normal E prop, not a slow fly.
@@ModelAV8RChannel many thanks
Great review! I don't have an EDF jet. I like longer flight times and I like my batteries to keep working well. Does anyone have a feel for any loss of performance as these type batteries continue to make 'jet' flights? Thanks, and this does look like a capable and fun jet.
Thanks very much! EDF's are harder on batteries for sure. As far as how many cycles you get vs and propeller driven plane, not sure. I imagine less, but by how much no idea. In my mind flying jets is another skill set and type of plane to enjoy. Depending on how you fly, how good your batteries are, and how well you take care of them getting a lot of cycles is possible.
what would be the first step up for an a10 model with actual rudders?
To my knowledge the next size up is the E-flite twin 64mm. It has functioning rudders.
Do you know how long battery time the a 10 has when using the battery you use?
8:18 , 19:45. Watch the whole video brah, thats why we do all that talking, Lol.
Thanks, Lmao
@@Mountain420 Lol
How hard would it be to make the gear retractable?
Not hard at all, but more money and more weight. Not a good thing at this size. There is a twin 64mm A-10 with the works.
I have the big 6s version with a broken nose gear. I might make it a belly lander like this haha if it dies it dies haha 🎉
Ha! That would be a big hand tosser, but hey...its doable!
Does it have safe?
If you use a SAFE RX.
