I recently purchased a 2013 Honda Shadow VT750RS with 400 miles on the odometer.
The clutch reminded me of a 1998 V-Star 650 that I had at one time owned, the friction point was almost at the extreme end of the clutch lever travel when leaving the clutch out to move forward. Printing a copy of the Cleever Lever Installation picture I was able to bore a matching hole in the Honda Lever and cut the 1/8" wide channel for the cable on a milling machine. This modification moved the friction point towards the center of the travel. The clutch fully releases and there is no clutch slippage. I am 100% satisfied. There is no reason one couldn't make this modification to any motor bike. 'tis himself Kenny G

So the hole drilled closer to the the pivot point is decreasing the travel distance of the cable, therefore increasing the arc of travel of the lever creating a larger friction zone for clutch engagement.

Thanks for the video even if it is 3 years old. Helped me make one from my old lever. Very easy with a drill press. So thank you very much. Someone (I won't mention any names) wants $75 for one he makes out of new $12 dollar levers.
