I was too young for their heyday, but caught them at the Garden in ‘12 cause I figured “It’s Van Halen. Gotta see em once”. After Eddie did Eruption I took out my phone and bought tickets for the following night. Worth every penny.
They say that Daddy was listenin' to Eruption when he went off the bluff into the Jackson River and I reimagine his last few agonizin' momentsevery time I hear it. You bought a tear to this fifty four year old man's eyes, son, and I had to go behind the couch till my PTSD cleared up, WE MISS YA, DADDY!!
Very cool, good to see that not all youngsters listen to the modern, mandated pap, but keep the older traditions alive. Particularly liked the medley btw✌️😊👍✌️💜

I was in high school when that great VH album was released. It was hard to imagine learning to play Eddies solos then, but these kids are amazing.
