This man is exactly correct. Meditation a simple, direct, effective way of seeing for yourself that you are not your body, not your mind, not your brain, but consciousness. When you meditate, just sit doing nothing without effort, your mind and body will come to rest and you will find that you are the Watcher, the Witness, experiencing it all. It's easy with just a little practice.

For those of you wondering why he keeps his arms so still and by his side most of the video, I believe my comment to someone else who noticed this may be able to shed some light..
It’s a result of having tamed your “monkey-mind.” Usually we unconsciously move about during speech as we are enthralled in whatever it is we are talking about; however through consistent meditation you become increasingly aware of subtleties that might often go unnoticed. His speech is about “consciousness” and it’s no secret that regular meditation can indeed lead to expanded consciousness and awareness which can explain his calm demeanor. It’s not by accident, I assure you of that, it’s a sign of having mastered the senses through constant presence and awareness. If you are in a constant flow state; aware of each and every compulsion you may experience in your daily life (such as flailing our arms around and pacing about meaninglessly) then you can simply choose not to allow them to have control over you, you can choose to keep your arms perfectly by your side as a testament to your self-discipline and as a way to suggest that it’s “what I have to say that is important and not how I look while saying it.”
I hope this was helpful! I’m terrible at explaining things simply.

Public speaking is taught in using our hands and body to keep the audience's attention. Most TED speakers will pace the stage and constantly use their arms and hands to try and keep the focus of the spectators. Instead this man uses peace as a means of unifying. Works, doesn't it?

    • @irmese06
      @irmese06 5 ปีที่แล้ว +35

While "public speakers" and salesmen are taught to talk with their hands, actors are taught to have a neutral stance. When you learn to do it, you stop fidgeting or worrying about what to do with your hands. Your actions become cleaner, plainer, and more distinct and focused, and being centered makes you more watchable. Whatever else this fellow has, he has focus. That's what y'all are seeing.

Yes. Any kind of meditation can increase happiness.
Meanwhile even if meditation helps us feel connected, happy internally etc. etc. the life goes on. 1) One needs to meditate regularly to make a change. 2) One of the blessings and burdens of us humans is that we get used to everything so even if after practicing meditation every day for a year we are much happier that before starting, we are used to the new level of happiness so that we may get less oohs and aahs while meditating or breathing in fresh air. 3) The life is the thing and life has ups and downs. Our mind will go through things and some of them are blissful and some painful. Real meditation will speed up that process so usually we get more ups and downs in a shorter time than before. The good news is that as meditation makes our mind stronger, the downs don't feel that bad anymore (unfortunately sometimes the ups may loose some of the exitement as well :-) ).

Nor do your thoughts define who you are. In yogic culture (as well as others) the mind is one of the senses; much like our eyes and ears, which when left untrained and unchecked can be a serious cause of suffering and confusion. If you think bad negative thoughts we tend to become bad and negative. But they are just thoughts. When we don't realize that we are not even our thoughts, much less our jobs, clothes, and possessions, a step in right direction for a more peaceful life has the possibility to unfold. Take a few moments and try to observe what thought patterns are running through your head at any given time. What is the story the your mind is telling you. Once you are able to perceive the thought stream then ask your self this question: Who is it that is observing this phenomenon?

Even if his theories are incorrect he's a hell of a lot better human being than half of these idiots claiming their own understanding of the world to be better and more correct. I am a Christian. I pray many times a day... especially while driving. When I pray to Our Lord, it calms me. When he asked us to close our eyes and then follow what he said, I felt incredible! I actually could “feel” my consciousness and then I felt as I was moving around my room then my house... it was amazing. This was the first time I ever meditated... I’m definitely going to look more into it and start doing it on a regular basis! God bless✝️😇🙏🏼

During the meditation portion I wept through the entire meditation. Feeling that presence was like a mother's embrace or womb space. I kept getting the message, you are not alone. I have meditated with structured teachers and paths since age 3. Yet this meditation was the most powerful one ever. I ascribe this to the power of the speaker, not power in the sense of material world, I mean his power as a truly enlightened teacher and facilitator of this process. I also felt 100 percent safe in the experience.
The talk itself is pure brain candy. Some people can say more in fifteen minutes than some can say in a three month class. Dada G is one of these. Thank you so much Dada G.

And you alone in the middle and the sky and the sea merge all around you. Now all you have to do is keep your head, understand what's what and acknowledge it. Be yourself and let it be.

Having to realise that everything that you have been searching for is actually all within, not without and readily accessible any moment is quite eye-opening. This is a living reality for me today. She is a girl child born in a very poor family, 100% paralysed due to medical malpractice. The malpractice that caused her 100% paralysis in a remote village of Kashmir happened as she was treated by some injectable by the janitor of the medical clinic who was made de facto doctor by the doctor who was posted there but the doctor took the salary and wound not go there because the village is remote. Whatever that injectable was or whatever her initial disease was that had led to uncontrolled dysentery, it led to her loosing her ability to move within a week (as per her family).
Please pray for her as she is in pain (though I am very sceptical about prayers etc. at present).

For those who watch this with anger I encourage you to look past your bitterness and hurt and find that place inside yourselves where you can discover peace. I can't say I don't blame you for seeing as you do. The powers that be put a lot of money into brainwashing to control the way you think. You can create this "little" world for yourselves and think to yourselves that you know, but in the end you are just isolated and left alone, which must make you feel" awesome "because you don 't have to answer to anyone. He meant that the feeling itself is a personal experience that can not be directly observed by others. However, it can be indirectly recognised and proven through the everyday work, attention, sacrifices and things that she does or not for the child. Namaste

    5 Hindrances to Self-Mastery
    1. Sensual desire (sight/touch/taste/smell/hearing) = Am I addicted?
    2. Ill will / aversion = Am I feeling a negative emotion?
    3. Dullness / heaviness = Am I unmotivated?
    4. Restlessness = Is my mind jumping from though to thought?
    5. Sceptical doubt = Am I indecisive?
    Rain (is the solution)
    Recognise which one you're experiencing
    Accept that's what you're experiencing
    Investigate why you're experiencing it
Non-identify with that experience: 'i am not the body, i am not the mind, i am not my emotion'
I wish the talk would go on for longer and if he could share stories of people overcoming each of them :)

    • @Nathwindon1234
      @Nathwindon1234 5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

It is absolutely mind-boggling, that we have individual languages - that is amazing in itself. To me - the language above is a squiggle of geometric shapes - a code, that my brain fails to unlock. Amazing concept to ponder that even my own language would appear the same to many others who do not speak English. This simply epiphany gives rise to the concept that what this man talks about - consciousness - is another language that many of us haven't learned yet, therefore it is hard to swallow. The word God appears so foreign to many others, but Allah and God and Ptah are the same concepts just hidden in the various codes of language. Kabbalah means (Kaaba - Mecca (Cube) and Alah (Allah) = Cube of Allah) But Yahweh written in Hebrew becomes Allah in Arabic, if you flip and invert the Hebrew word for Yahweh and then squeeze the Hebrew words together. The cube is on its axis in the center of the Jewish religion, the crescent moon in Islamic - of which the moon is 2160 miles across and 216 represents a cube. Christianity's cross is a 2D cube unfolded and Kabbalah's tree of life contains both cube and cross within. Cubes in Geometry represent The universe poised for emanation and this is the main concept of Occult (Hidden) literature. It is because of foreign code, that creates wars through misconstruction and misconception and understanding. Everyone wants to feel accepted and to be loved. When I hear someone speak another language around me - I automatically feel a little uncomfortable because I feel like I'm an outcast and unworthy of the conversation, Yet people around me that speak my own language, I do not tune in because I know its not my place. So there's a comfort in the known and a discomfort in the unknown. My neighbor speaks Hindi, and he is probably only a few years younger than me. I can tell hes a cool dude and that we'd get along really well if we understood each others code fluently, but he speaks very little English, so the greetings are robotic and monotone. That's not his fault, and its not mine, But when we see each other we both greet from the heart with acknowledgement of our individuality..

NOT SURE WHY BUT THIS POEM CAME TO MY MIND.. still trying to understand it!!
I become that which surrounds me, and am now one with myself. A singularity of consciousness dispersed among all creation.
Defined by the differences which can not be overcame, yet the truth behind the struggle is identical, Drawn even closer by my vast separation.
I have always been alive, and am living now but have not yet began to live my life as I once did for generations.
I have become that which surrounds me and am now conscious of myself, I becomes us, we become one through our enlightened and spiritual amalgamation.

Thank you. A mostly wonderful presentation. One vital issue is that a person enters Universal Consciousness by focusing on their heart center inside themselves and then letting go of the physical universe and the body. Alternatively, the astral or spirit realm can be explored outside the physical body in one's astral or subtle body. That outer cosmic realm is a parallel subtle universe that exists in the same space as the physical universe with many layers and spirts that can be visited. Despite that, dropping inward returns one's consciousness to the original state of oneness where there is no body at all and all wisdom is accessible.
I share all about this in "The Magnificent Soul."

I remember being in the cafeteria of the Franklin Institute (in Philadelphia, PA) when I was maybe 10 years old, and feeling terrified. I was terrified because I looked at all the people around me, thinking to myself, why am I the only Charlie Castillo in this world? Why am I not omnipresent? Why is my soul/consciousness locked in this particular body in this particular point in history? I've come to embrace several aspects of Buddhism this semester of my sophomore year at university, and I have found ways to reach inner peace, even when I find myself feeling anxious and stressed out from everything that's going on around me.

Charlie - Similarly, many years ago when I was younger I was startled by a realization that "I was me" and "no one else is me." And "why am I me?." I am ME! It was so profound that it defies description. I have since returned to that feeling/realization fairly frequently. When I followed the feeling throughout the years it came to a point where the room was too small to contain me. Like my face was pressed against the walls and my consciousness filled everything. I find that it is accompanied by great joy. Good luck to you!

So you were standing there asking why am I not all places at all times as all things? Usually by ten children understand the physical limitations of the body. That currently we live in a 3 dimensional universe and our subject to the limiting factors of height, width and depth. - something just happened that I can’t explain
About 3 seconds or so after the meditation
I fell into something (or asleep) and I had a vision- it was so clear
I saw myself stood next to the planet with my right arm out and all this visible energy was rushing up and around me(or out of me I can’t tell) and around our planet. I could feel it in my arm as I was looking at myself. It felt like a memory. But I’ve never seen that before and then I was back watching the talk and had to focus back in what he was saying. I’d only lost like 2 seconds. Like WHAT!? That was actually incredible

The ultimate truth relating to conscious life has been revealed and it is better than anything we could have imagined. This is truth you can and should check for yourself. Most people dont even realize they have 2 selves, a mind self and a spirit or consciousness. They way to know this is truth is to just ask yourself now, what is it that is listening to your thoughts? The mind creates the thoughts you have but what is it that is listening to them? Consciousness is a like a blank sheet where physical life is written on, for the whole truth Google *_Truth contest_* and check out the top entry. The truth has been revealed.

Because it allows us to open the mind in considering more possibilities, and experience things first-hand, from consciousness. Something so simple such as feeling your feet on the floor, instead of thinking about your feet on the floor, exemplifies the difference between consciousness and mind, a first-hand experience. So powerful!!
