I also had one of those toothbrushs, and I would agree. Both Jesse's and Nick Carters voices are distinct to my ears (I was watching Nick's performances, then this was next recommended). Though this is my 7th time watching Jesse's.

As if! they were always compared in the past also let alone when they had this battle and commenting "We are mirrored to each other" No kidding! I was astounded when the production did that!
I may be a bit biased but I consider him the most talented out of boy bands from the 90s next to Justin Timberlake. There are just so many layers and so much depth to his voice and he uses it so effortlessly. At times it sounds so tender and angelic, and other times hard hitting like a bullet. Very very few artists have a voice and can sing like that. For most singers, even having a wide range, the voice would sound stale throughout the whole song, or let’s say when they switch to falsetto the switch would be like a “jump”-very obvious, not being able to switch between different voices and yet completely connected and wholesome like JM can.
A lot of people say that every song that Jesse sings fits his role as Robin/Nightwing on Young Justice and the ship between him and Zatanna. Well except for two, I think all the songs performed here fit that bill too.

I'm pretty uncultured when it comes to singers, I grew up spamming linkin park, skillet, 3 doors down, etc ... now it's a lot of kpop, covers of popular songs to the point I don't know what the original song actually sounds like, which is how I got here. It's with great pleasure and shock that I actually recognized his voice. He happened to have my favorited kind of voice to go with an acoustic guitar
I loved night angel especially when she was in the group Xscape that was the top 5 of my girls group and Understanding was my fav song omgosh. But I gotta say Jesse should have won that season his voice is still so amazing 🤩😍🫶🏽
