no I think they did guess Penn and Teller, and I knew it was them the second I saw Gilbert Gottfried show up to wish them luck (though to be fare I was ready for more Muppets competing because I kept hearing the old farts from the Muppets)......and then less than a week later he was dead

I was shocked no one guessed Chris Daughtry as the Rottweiler. All the clues were there, and his voice is one of a kind. He was my first ever correct guess on the show.

Daughtry had the most unique and recognizable voice. Shame the judges clearly never listened to his music. Such an amazing artist

The one-two punch of Chris Daughtry and Wayne Brady from season 2's finale rocked me.
I knew it was T-Pain from the clues, but what made me smile was Jessie McCartney.
Jessie was awesome as the turtle.

In my country Russia, russian version of the show also has lots of shocking reveals. For example when guest character (who appears in one episode and has to be guessed fastly) Sultan, Philipp Kirkorov (one of the jury) didn't guess his own father Bedros

My fav masked singer of all time is S1 Peacock (Donny Osmond), my fav surprise to me unmaskings were Dick Van Dyke, Penn & Teller, Seal, & Kermit the Frog.

One of the biggest surprises wasn't even shown here in the states. Winner of season one in Australia was Anastasia, probably the most successful American artist to NOT hit it big in the states. She's loved in most of the rest of the world and was treated badly by the American arm of her record company for years.
Victor Oladipo blew me away when he sang Rainbow on the Masked Singer. So good!!

T-Pain and Sarah Palin were the most shocking in my opinion! T-Pain was so shocking because he can straight up sing! I was like wowed. Sarah Palin was pretty self explanatory lol.
My top 3:
3. Chris Daughtry. His voice is very recognizable and no one guessed him.
2. Sarah Palin. I mean cmon, she rapped "Baby Got Back". I did think it was Tina Fey when they showed her profile.
1. Dick Van Dyke. He's as legendary as they get.
Sarah Palin had my and my husband's mouths drop. I'm surprised Mark Sanchez and Dick Van Dyke weren't on this list. I knew the robot was Lil Wayne immediately. I could hear that voice on Lollipop.
She took a long time to get eliminated because she did mostly old school rap songs. You can just tell she had fun.
The only one on this list i figured out before unmasking was Taco lol The biggest surprise for me was Penn and Teller as Hydra.
Oh, how could you skip Donny Osmond as the Peacock, literally starting off the series with the first song, episode one, season one, "This is the Greatest Show!"
I remember when Me and my mom’s jaws drop to the floor when ninja was revealed, and when Tony Hawk was revealed me and my dad both yelled WHAT at the tv lol 😂
So I have said this a million times it seems and people always get it wrong, Ken Jeong left AFTER the show was over when the credits were rolling and Rudy was singing his final song, not during and Robin left to go see if Ken was okay. People were constantly getting it wrong and to this day they still are.
Good to know cause that really upset me that he would act like that
@MsMojo The fact th3y put Donnie's reveal first surprised me...heck, I was REALLY surprised about the reveal when it happened.
While I agree with number three and number one, I think Dick Van Dyke should have at least been number two. When I think of "most shocking reveal," I think more of it being those that left us all speechless - happy, of course - and have us thinking, "Why didn't I guess them?!" Lil Wayne's voice, for me at least, was easily recognizable. Why the judges did not think of him, I don't know. Of course another good example was Mickey's since he's the only one to leave the show voluntarily. Before fair voting took place, of course, so don't compare his to Linda's. As for Donnie being #20, to me, he should have been in the top 5. Yes, his voice is recognizable, but how often do you see a judge fall after a reveal like Jenny? Lol

Although I don’t agree with Sarah Palin’s political views, I will admit that her performance made me laugh and enjoy myself. I was definitely shocked to see her unmasked but in the end the show is about having fun and I’m glad she was able to do that

I think Morten Harket as the viking on the UK Masked Singer surprised everyone. What made it even crazier was no one guessed it was him, even though he sang "Take on me".

I accidentally guessed Tony Hawk right. I was watching with my mom and I jokingly said ‘wouldn’t it be funny if that was Tony Hawk’ Have no idea why I said it. Maybe I recognized his voice and didn’t fully process it. Lmao
I actually guessed him right. You definitely recognized it subconsciously. I know I did. He has a very unique "surfer dude" inflection in his voice lol.
The only two people I've guessed correctly since the show started were Busta Rymes and Wayne Brady. Two other guesses I was wrong on but had the boy band spot on was Chris Kirkpatrick.... I thought he was actually Lance Bass. Then on another season thought it was Lance Bass again when it was actually Joey Fatone.
How was Wendy Williams not on this list!? She was the Lips but it was obvious it was her but people did not expect her to be on the Masked Singer 😂 👄
The biggest shock is that DOCTOR Ken will walk off stage when Dr Evils little right hand man appears but is willing to share a stage week after week with one of the most outspoken and bizarrely influential proponents of pseudoscience in the world.

I can’t believe how many seasons the masked singer have and the masked singer have been on for long time starting with 2019-2023,the masked singer will still be on for long long long time since the masked singer is so popular tv show and a lot people watch the masked singer but I kinda do like the new season 9 of the masked singer with the bell where they used the bell 3 times to save them.
I knew Chris Daughtry immediately because I’m a big fan of his and have all his music on my playlist.
