If the Liberal government can't vet immigrants to protect the security of Canadians, perhaps the best option would be to slow immigration until checks of each newcomer can be made properly.

Why weren't appropriate steps taken to check the background of a person coming into our country? Why did the French have to warn us that there was terrorists here? Could it be that we are too lax in our immigration policy. It took years for my immigrant husband to get residency let alone be allowed to apply for citizenship and at every stage a new criminal records check had to obtained from his home government and GD Interpol.

I'm fine with our traditional immigration processes. Those who want to mitigate security, allow people to jump lines and prioritize groups with questionable (albeit a minority) elements should fund and live with said elements. Same goes with repeat violent offenders.
We can't have people forcing policies that don't have to live with them. Same goes with the economy...if Trudeau and his cabinet think our economy is the envy of the G7, their salaries AND pensions should be tied to the economic performance instead of insulating them from every single decision, ethics breach and scandal.
