New Moana Attraction & Eating At Muppets Restaurant For the First Time!

- We returned to EPCOT in Walt Disney World to explore the new Moana attraction, Journey of Water. Is it surprisingly good or is it lame? We also did some other things we never have done before. At the Imagineering Pavilion we met Figment! And in the American Pavilion we ate at the Muppets themed restaurant Regal Eagle Smokehouse. Is it worth the trip around World Showcase? Come with us on this adventure!

The moana attraction is so pretty! (Especially the goddess)…and as someone who can’t go on most rides due to motion sickness, I’m perfectly fine with the moana attraction being like this~

Okay, two things. First, Kitra's mastery over drinking-fountain water is terrifying beyond measure, and must be contained. Truly a spectacle to behold! Secondly, why aren't the World Showcase Lagoon boats Moana themed? It seems like a no-brainer.

I'd spend far too much time in the journey of water if I was there! I absolutely adore water based attractions. It looks like a lot of fun. I kept having to remind myself you were at Epcot. I kept getting Animal Kingdom vibes.
I ate at the smokehouse! I had to being a Muppet fan. I seem to remember i had a Pulled pork sandwich. It was lovely.

We had already seen the backside of water, so Disney Imagineering decided that they should also show the frontside of water.
Haha they definitely showed us every side of water on this attraction
Regal eagle is sooo good!! One of the best quick service in my opinion!

We went to Florida in June this year and roasted. We have always gone in February before, and the Moana attraction was not open yet! That would have been so refreshing!

I feel like Moana fits at EPCOT because it’s Polynesian, and EPCOT showcases different cultures. It also feels like an exhibit at a science center or museum which is kind of what EPCOT has always leaned towards. Your video feels transportive and to me that’s how those country pavilions all feel. So this is a good fit for EPCOT.

We got lucky to do it last week on vacation during passholder preview. it was beautiful and peaceful and i got some great pictures. I think it will be a one and done walk thru or place to escape the heat. I'm waiting for the general opening to see if it becomes a giant splash pad for kids. the kid in me liked playing with the water, but dont forget to reapply the sunscreen, my hand playing with the water got a little toasted :)
