The thing I like most about these after hours events is the rare characters and photos. It is kind of sad how long the lines are though. But as a late 90's/early 00's kid seeing a Princess Diaries photo setup makes me so happy!
The highlight of my princess nite was meeting you both right after the Princess show on the River of America. I acted like a dork and get tongue-tied, but am still so glad I got up the courage to say hello. You both are so kind and bring some much delight to others through your Ordinary Adventures. That looked like so much fun! I love that they have princess' that you normal don't see like Kida from Atlantis, Pocahontas, and Giselle and that photo op from the Princess Diaries was so cool! I really hope that Leia comes to Star Wars night too! The Meet and Greet lines though, remind of when I go to Comic-Con, you kind of have to decide if it's worth it to see your favs and expect LONG lines.
Vanellope party looked lit. I would’ve been there all night dancing lol. Also the last performance you guys showed literally made me tear at work (luckily I work from home lol) I need to go to DisneyLand. I thought Disney world would satisfy me but it seems land is where it’s at.

it seems like disneyland is back - what a magic night! I am glad they are doing nights like this and fun to see all the characters. the outfits are so beautiful. it was fun seeing all the great princesses and seeing how many there are.

Boys can enjoy princesses as well. This isn't just an event targeted to girls. There's also so much already for men that having female representation is not a bad thing. I think that holding a male only character event is not a good luck for a company that is trying to be more inclusive. Plus you can see most of those characters on regular days. Maybe teach your kid that female characters are just as cool
So I heard a rumour once that the reason why there's so little Giselle rep in merch and in the parks is because Amy Adams had it written into her contract that Disney would need to pay her licensing rights to use her image and Disney decided they didn't want to do that. It would be interesting to know if that changed for the second movie (the one we don't talk about 😂)!

@@OrdinaryAdventures We always feel like we didn’t accomplish everything we set out to for the Disney After Dark events which leads us to believe that they aren’t worth the price. Most time is spent waiting for character meet & greets due to the exclusive/ rare characters at the event. Your reply would literally be the solution to the problem. We would be able to see every character, try all the exclusive food, see every show, ride a couple attractions (which we usually skip for the sake of time) and probably have time to go back to visit our favorite character of the night should they make it like Oogie Boogie Bash. I think we would all leave much happier because we accomplished everything and with a sense that the event was worth it. That is a great recommendation 💯

Hmm... Maybe it's just me, but Giselle's cast member looked an awful lot like step-sister Anastasia. I hope it's the same cast member, and she finally got some time to be a real princess, because Anastasia and Drusilla are always a blast to interact with in the parks. Seeing some of the lesser-utilized princesses was a real treat. I mean, come on, Kida and Atta? Get outta here! Maybe one day Disney will remove Black Cauldron from their ignore list, and we can finally see Princess Eilonwy in a park.

I finally met you guys last Sunday when you were waiting for the parade near the flagpole on Main Street with Paging Mr.Morrow. I appreciate you guys being so kind even though I was so nervous and awkward. And then I saw Peter when we were in line waiting for Tiana on Princess night but didn't want to bother him. My wife and I brought our 4yo daughter and 2yo son to Princess night and were pretty disappointed. We knew it would be difficult because you can't setup more than 1 princess at a meet a greet to get the lines moving quickly. But the lines were so ridiculous we only met Tiana that night. Definitely regretted the amount of money we paid to attend.
I’m so sorry to hear that! This is why we rarely wait in lines for characters on the after hours events because it takes too long and then the event is over.
They should have multiple princess Leia's, just so the line won't get way to long. I'm pretty sure they already do this with Mickey during some events.
@@OrdinaryAdventures yeah, that's a good point. Hopfully they'll be able to set something up for next time though. Although it might be difficult with R2D2 being there, they probably don't have multiple of him available.
They could fix the long special meet and greet line issue by putting Leia (or whomever is special) in the Royal Hall meet and greet area. That would allow people to wait in one line with more than one destination at the end... if you know what I mean.

Please know that this is a special event so these things are not normally at Disneyland . There's really cool stuff for princess fans though if you can't attend something like this. I recommend looking into bibidi boddi boutique for your daughter, she can have a princess makeover there
I adore that they have really leant in as an opportunity to just celebrate the variety of female heroes Disney have. I wish they would go deeper and take the challenge. Have an event from the Alice shorts to all early imagineers.
They need to do something like a receiving line of all of the princesses or something. Like they do at weddings. Also, they could’ve capitalized on merch.
