Glad to be back watching the videos, since landing a new job after graduating in December! Ready to start building my tie collection and transitioning from plastic hangers to the Hanger Project!
Hi Kirby. I enjoy watching your video’s while fixing my socks. I woud be in a complete dilemma having to choose just one or two shoes out of so many. Your videos have taught me so much about classic men style. You, mister Schneider from the Gentlemans Gazette and Hugo Jacomet are the best on the internet. Thank you so much and please keep educating us especially in these dark and negative times
Thant's a lot of options. I don't wear trainers either, but must agree, these are amazing. For me, Lopez in suede on a rubber is #1 pick. Extremely versatile, all-weather loafers for all the occasions except those formal ones that don't take place often anymore. Coupled with corduroy trousers and a shawl collar cardigan with a knitted tie, those loafers will deliver exceptional style and functional performance throughout the autumn.
i have a pair of AE Perth sneakers and they are one of my favorite pairs. They are walnut in color with the woven sides and a captoe. I wear them so much with jeans and on the weekends if i am going to be walking a lot. People look down on sneakers but the right pair can get you a lot of casual wear while still looking great.
My top 3 The double monk The tan museum calf loafer The loafer with the super casual sole I'm gonna take your advice about shoes. I've been eyeing a pair of loafers and I think they wouldnt add much to my wardrobe in terms of coverage. Screw coverage. I love em.
Love all the shoes.. Brilliant workmanship. I wish love the with sneaker. If John lobb can convert it to golf shoes it will add their name in golf industry.
What a delicious assortment of John Lobb craftsmanship. Kirby, what is the "dust like" substance that is seen on a brand new shoe coming out of the box?
A really fantastic collection indeed. I think the dust like specks you are referring to were just result of all of the paper from the packaging being piled up around the desk, so when we filmed the shoes on the turntable, they seemed a little dusty. This only really appeared noticeable in the edit.
Another magnificent video Kirby. I liked the Strand wingtip the most. Lobb, Edward Green and Gaziano and Girling make amazing shoes. I like Gaziano and Girling the most , becaus of their "bespoke"-like look in a ready to wear shoe. Sales must be terrible at the moment for these three great shoe makers.
Thank you!! Kirby these tips and your love of elegance and impeccable suit game has enhanced my vision on my suits and shoes and knowledge of being on point with my wardrobe many thanks 👍👍👍👍
1. Black Captoe because it’s JL and you may as well have the fundamental core shoe from the top brand in the world. 2. The wingtip because of the work you mentioned but also because it does look quite unique to the brand. 3. The tan summer loafer because I love thin-sole summer loafers. 4. The whole cut because they have been very popular for the past two years, however I would never wear a non-patent leather shoe with black tie. 5. The pebble Lopez since I already own the Lopez in dark chocolate suede and love them but hate having to get suede resprayed all the time. Plus black loafers are tough to pull off, but even in the country club context, I’d sooner rock the 1953 horsebit loafer.
While I can understand you not wanting to go down the unpleasant road of why there's two John Lobb's on this channel, but can anyone link me to that story? I know it's something about a family feud - a tale of two brother's perhaps? Great video, Kirby. Lovely to get so much information about such a wide range of styles.
I've got 3 pairs of Lopez loafers with single leather sole, in black, dark brown museum calf and gold museum calf. Extremely comfortable after they break in and I really like the look.
Did they send you all the same size, which in my mind would make sense if you are trying to do any kind of comparison, and did they all least send in your size so you could try them on?
Kirby, have you heard of the Congo Dandies? It's a really interesting story and I think eventually you should fly to Africa and do an episode with them.
John Lobb Paris is owned by luxury group Hermes. Sometime in the 1960’s or 70’s the St James’s John Lobb licensed use of their name to raise some cash. The Paris workshop makes excellent non-bespoke shoes. However their sizing does not extend to wide fittings so not suitable for everyone.
Enjoy your work and presentation You upped the style on me....spiral whole cut bespoke invisible channel....seamless heel. Wow. Is there a slight difference between London Lobb and Paris Lobb? In any event. Your son wants$5 a pair to shine. Haha
Gorgeous, re the double monks - my wife is a fan, I’m not. I’ve got a couple pairs because she likes them; but I must be too traditional. Great stuff as usual Kirby. The Trent & the Beckett are nice.
Yes, it is taken from the livestream unboxing we did. We just wanted to make a slightly condensed version for those who hadn't seen the original livestream
What kind of wife would allow her man to buy that many shoes? Unless we're talking about the super rich, I mean. All of the shoes in this presentation are fantastic!
Kirby, Sir, I really must tip my Homburg to you, as you have undoubtedly got the record for the number of bahxes you unbahx in a single unbahxing. A little OTT, as the British say, but what the hell, y'only live the once.
FILOSS100 Unfortunately, they are only on loan and we have to send them back. I think my wife would crucify me if I showed up with all of these shoes. But, really, they would be the last I ever needed to buy.
Kerby, You dress so impeccably I just wish just before doing the things you do so well you would put on a pair of wrist to just above elbow clothing protectors. Black with elastic at wrist and just above elbow. You put apron on but I cringe when I see the white cuffs of your shirt and suit so close to shoe polish etc. Thanks. It will keep my hair from standing up as you work your information and magic.
This time I have to say that money doesn't buy style. Of course you can talk about craftsmanship and quality but unfortunately it's just dull..and grayish none of your shoes evoked something that told me I had to have these pairs of shoes... nevertheless costs John Lobb From €2000...
Kirby is the Doug DeMuro of apparel: all about quirks and features.
Maybe we need a “Kirby Score” - I love Doug’s work.
Ha! That's good.
Lol....a Kirby score. Love it. Maybe guest appearance by Doug as in how you look out of car. Comfort, style, utility score, etc
Can’t wait for the crossover 😂
Thank you for this comment
“Holy smokes-eroo!” LOL. With zero irony. I love this channel.

My top 3
The double monk
The tan museum calf loafer
The loafer with the super casual sole

Great top 3 choices. And yes, we can reason our way out of any purchase. If you really want them, that's a good enough reason.
6:26 Philip II
17:03 City II
Note the shoe trees go fully above the heel to give support to all of the heel not just most of it.
so how many of these did you get to keep ?
Love all the shoes.. Brilliant workmanship. I wish love the with sneaker. If John lobb can convert it to golf shoes it will add their name in golf industry.
Gorgeous shoes. Going to have to add a pair of John Lobb's

nice Man... you look more relaxed now..
Love the fact you can't decide , because that is my problem too !

Better than Christmas!

I feel at home on this channel.
did you buy all of these or did you get them for free on review?
Those are a lot of amazing shoes to put on.
This is an amazing set of shoes! I think I would have went for 3 Lopez 🤔
Watching you choose 3 out of 14 is so funny lol!! The struggle was really real
I've got 3 pairs of Lopez loafers with single leather sole, in black, dark brown museum calf and gold museum calf. Extremely comfortable after they break in and I really like the look.
This is what I’m told! Big difference.
How would you rate the Hermès mocassins tarmac loafer compared to these ?
Could swear I watched this video already
the 3rd shoe is the best
What kind of sneakers premium leather do you recommend? I'd love something that can be resoled
Wow, do you get to keep those, and if so what's your foot size?
That spiral wingtip is amazing. It takes special talent and skill top plan that shoe.
Which John Lobb is better British or French-made?
And is JL or Edward Green better?
Thank you!
Exelente video
Those first trainers you pulled out are beautiful, the different colours work perfectly together, if i had the money to spend i would snap them up
Glad you like them!
please help and explain ProducerMichael what is classic men suit and shoes you need to try at least he has some specific taste
Producer Michael seems like a good person but I certainly don't agree with his taste. And that's absolutely fine
New money...
Did they send you all the same size, which in my mind would make sense if you are trying to do any kind of comparison, and did they all least send in your size so you could try them on?
I think these were all the same size.
Kirby, have you heard of the Congo Dandies? It's a really interesting story and I think eventually you should fly to Africa and do an episode with them.
Did they let you keep all of these?
I wish! Sadly these were just loaned to us for these reviews.
I m here in Dubai,, I m beginning of shoe collect or ,, so how you grade Magnnani shoe ,,
Magnani sucks. Wake up.
I like the choice, take them all :)
How much did all this cost?

Are they all his size?
Unfortunately not...
The wingtip Strand appears to be an austerity brogue.
It is, indeed. Great eye!
Do you have a agreement that if you review the shoes you get to keep them or did you pay for all the shoes.
Kirby, If you can get in touch with Aportnoy, please do an update on his shoe collection or tell us what he is up to today.
1. Semi Brogue, 2. Black Captoe, 3. Wholecut, 4. Museum Calf loafer, 5. Unstructured loafer, 6. Minimalist white sneaker 👞👟
Great choices!
Feels good
How do two brands operate with the same name at the international stage? It’s so strange.
Jasmeet S Bhogal yeah. It’s a tightrope for sure. I actually think they are in some litigation.
Enjoy your work and presentation
You upped the style on me....spiral whole cut bespoke invisible channel....seamless heel. Wow. Is there a slight difference between London Lobb and Paris Lobb? In any event. Your son wants$5 a pair to shine. Haha
That sneaker looks like a 1980s Pro wing
Gorgeous, re the double monks - my wife is a fan, I’m not. I’ve got a couple pairs because she likes them; but I must be too traditional. Great stuff as usual Kirby. The Trent & the Beckett are nice.
Did he buy 14 pairs or did they send them to him as an "influencer" to review?
do Dehner boots review next and riding boots to
Are you going to carry JL in your store, Kirby? 😉
Hi great shoes to have
I wish I could get some new shoes
Why all black? So many colours available less boring specially for that price
These were sent to us as samples.
20:51
Interesting video ! Precursory, not "pre-cursi-ary".
The first and the last
wow xmas came early
Most of us your shoes have same design
Did I hear a pee-curse-e-airy at 1:23? Wow....
Isn't this a repeat ??
Yes, it is taken from the livestream unboxing we did. We just wanted to make a slightly condensed version for those who hadn't seen the original livestream
@@kirbyallison great shoes never get old
sigh. my life is not complete. i don't have a cap-toe oxford. where's that hemlock?
In theory, would you measure your feet once then have that company make all your shoes from that one measurement?.
What kind of wife would allow her man to buy that many shoes? Unless we're talking about the super rich, I mean.
All of the shoes in this presentation are fantastic!
Yes only really something the super rich get to enjoy.. I was just glad to get to open them up, even if they are not mine to keep.
Not really a special deal as such. John Lobb just kindly sent us the shoes to review, and then return to them.
You might want to brush the shoe before you showcase them ,,,Beautiful shoes by the way !
Kirby, Sir, I really must tip my Homburg to you, as you have undoubtedly got the record for the number of bahxes you unbahx in a single unbahxing. A little OTT, as the British say, but what the hell, y'only live the once.
How tf do you not wear sneakers?
@Tony that shit made no sense.
Oh oh i can see my student loan on that table
Easily $25,000 worth of shoes. Makes me nervous even having them in the office! 🤓
@@kirbyallison I have no doubt about that ! Quite sure you are able to make a nice rotation out of these, in addition to your other pairs !
FILOSS100 Unfortunately, they are only on loan and we have to send them back. I think my wife would crucify me if I showed up with all of these shoes. But, really, they would be the last I ever needed to buy.
@@kirbyallison Ahahah I guess she would indeed ! But you're right, why bother with RTW when you can afford bespoke ?

😂
First??? Say it ain't so.
Looks like you got it!
Oh to be rich to afford something like this.
These were loaned out to us just for the purpose of the review. Unfortunately, we’ll send them back eventually... 😢
Kirby, Why doesn't you worry about your expensive bespoke shirt 's bad finish below the tie knot all the time. Can you afford this? Strange taste !
honestly and lv / Gucci i would prefer if i had to spend so much
This is a repeat video...
Sorry KA, while I respect your style and keeping true to being you, I struggle to trust a gentleman who can’t put on a pair of sneakers!
unboxing FOURTEEN PAIRS of shoes?? WOW! lol
I know! It was such a fun day!
@@kirbyallison Looking forward to the next one! That a house deposit right there!:-)

I don''t much care for rich ponces flaunting their wealth.
Lobb's are over-priced anyway.
Does your wife get as many shoes as you?
Hey, Kirby, It looks like a pair of regular shoes nothing special. You are lured into buying something more expensive than its own good man !🙄🙄🙄🤣🤣
Pretentious
