Congratulations on the PB Alex! The Pro 4 sounds like an excellent upgrade to the already brilliant Pro 3, so I'm looking forward to picking up a pair.
I really like pro3 because I can do whatever in them, even easy pace feels very good(better than in a lot of daily trainers), but upper is too uncomfortable, was waiting for pro4 but this is 2nd review I have seen that says that unlike pro3 this shoe doesnt handle slower paces very well .
Awesome review, Alex! Your detailed insights on the PRO 4 after testing them in the Berlin Marathon are super clear and helpful. I can’t wait to try them out for myself-I was lucky enough to win a pair in the giveaway, thanks to you and Top4Running! Looking forward to seeing how they perform on my next race! 😊
The pro 3 cut up my heel pritty bad. I was also not a fan of the ankle material on the side, it used to dig in. There trail plated shoe did this also. I wonder if the 4 is the same, it looks very similar in terms of their upper design.
Great review, Alex! Slower pace is relative. I am an average runner with 5:30/km half marathon pace (slower end I know). Would you say my pace would be slow for Pro 4? Thanks!
It’s all relative. Your easy pace (and where AP4 will weird unappropriate) can be different from mine. And our marathon paces are different too yet it should be alright for you at your marathon pace regardless
@@AlexFilitti Thank you for the swift response. Pro 3 didn’t work for me, in fact one of the most uncomfortable shoe I’ve ever run in. Hope the big changes in Pro 4 will work with my mechanics and makes the shoe more comfortable.
@@botrytis_cinereaJust chase a good fit instead of super shoe placebo effect. The pace where the performance gains are proven is closer to 4:10 than 4:45. And a bad fit will most likely negate the super shoe gains even for speedy runners. I would still stick with the marathon racer category as shoes made for slower runs tend to have horrible breathability for 3-4h of running in marathon pace, just take the smoke tests with a nice level of scepticism as sweat is wet and not a nice vapour that flows through things instead of maybe filling some gaps between fibres and killing the breathability completely.
Thank you so much for your review brother. Would you please tell me that, my feet size is=25.5 cm. I basically use vaporfly next%2 is 26.5 cm, Saucony endorphin pro2-26.5 cm. I never used Adidas brand before. But, i heard that their size little bit big in size. So please ensure my brother that, What size can be the good comfortable for adios pro 4, if my feet size is 25.5 cm. I would appreciate. Thanks again!❤🧡
Hi! I’d go for the exact same US size you’re going for in Nike and Saucony. Yes adi runs longer but not to the extent where half a size down would be relevant
Alex, you mention this doesn't work for you at slower paces, can you give an indication of what pace that would be? I.e. would you say this works best for sub 3hr marathon pace?
@@AlexFilitti From my experience same goes for AP3 kinda, but maybe less so. By the way, how is the stability of AP4 vs AP3? For the AP3 I found it really good.

It’s a good upgrade yes
@@AlexFilitti bit of a random question, but which shorts did you wear for the marathon?

I heard from my team and we’re working on it indeed 😉
@@AlexFilitti thank you so much! 🤩
I tend to love now the adios pro 3 and looking forward to pro 4.
I had V2 , I am running with V3. I will buy V4 for sure!
Nice Run 👌
Thank you!
How does it compare with the Puma Deviate Elite 3? Congrats on the PB!
Hi Alex, Could you make a video of best Non-plated slow Looong Run shoes for 2+ hours please

Love the pro 3. Have 4 pair. No issues.

I always have problem with small toe room and lot of heel slip with adidas shoes
I saw someone saying the midsole not holding up, losing bounce and support, he even start to feel stepping on the rods around 30 km

Anything slower than 5min/km feels weird in them

Hey, may i know are these going to be as durable as adios pro 3?
So it's not for me too speedy I still have some og prime x gathering dust mostly for same reason
What does it mean "if that makes sense"? Sorry english is not my first language
It’s a way of saying « I hope you understand what I mean »
People are just funny at best..
They test a Ferrari and complain about that can not go slow as good as a sedan...
