      Focus on long term investments in property, stocks, and bonds. Avoid copying, daytrading and 'chart astrology'. Diversify across different geographies, industries, and value chain stages - to reduce your risk. You can do this with ETFs, or by selecting different stocks yourself. This is the best way to invest for more than 90% of people

      The truth is that this is really not as difficult as many people presume it to be. It requires a certain level of diligence, no doubt, which is something ordinary investors lack, and so a financial advisor often comes in very handy. My friend just pulled in more than $84k last month alone from his investment with his advisor. That is how people are able to make such huge profits in the market

    I have often thought about the automated process of driving screws. When this is done by hand, it is usually turned in the opposite direction to get it to sit in the right place, and thus tighten the screw properly. I don't know how it was solved in swap stations, but I think that it could have happened, that on the previous exchange the screw was turned incorrectly and the thread was broken.. is that possible to happen?

    This winter in Northern US during a time of a brutal freeze 🥶 Tesla owners were very upset when the charging stations would not work because of the freeze. People were stuck with dead batteries because of the charging malfunction. The EV charging system and battery swap system are not perfect. Both systems have their limits and issues. I read of people driving to a charging station with a low battery only to get there and the charger doesn’t work. I know that people will use MrP incident and bash NIO when the whole system has its limitations and issues. People as they say, “ Don’t throw the baby out with the bath water..😮

    A frozen bolt? Any frozen metallic object becomes brittle and break much easier. The solution is to blast warm air to bring to normal operational temperature. A bolt and its housing might be made of different metals, so they expand and contract differently, especially if outside its operational temperature. For example, the cold might have caused the housing metal to contract more than the bolt, leading to extremely large clamping force onto the bolt. I'm surprise the problem you ran into did not happened to 1000s of others already. Please feedback to management to blast warm air to bring that section to normal temperature before attempting to unbolt in such extreme cold environment. The swap station need to be modified to take care of such cold related problems.
    About that technician: He is not an engineer or scientist, that's why he is a technician running around in the cold instead of a sci-fi warm office back home. Therefore, it behooves on NIO to train them for such situations, i.e., your formal documented feedback and solution suggestion need to be review by management and incorporated into their tech training manuals.
    And thank you for exposing such problems. Any problem not acknowledged or identified remains a problem. Your exposure of such problems will be helpful to all NIO members in the long run when management incorporate solutions to such problems in their workflow. Keep up the excellent (video) work. :-)

      I think because NIO cars doesn’t supercharge like Tesla but rather swap so it may not require pre-heating, heat dissipates fast through aluminum so maybe a pre-heat will melt the ice. If that is possible then I think the car can trigger the preheat based on certain outdoor temperature.

    • @raywu7933
      @raywu7933 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@anvoong2510 Since winter happens annually, either a mobile or permanent heat gun at each bolt area would suffice to bring both the bolt and its immediate housing to the same and higher temperature to facilitate an unscrew. It may not even need to be at summer temperature, just same temperature but certainly well above freezing so that the housing metal does not clamp harder onto bolt than normal, especially if housing material has a higher contraction rate than the bolt. This should be an easy implementation and concept for NIO engineers. I think aluminum is unlikely involved since it is a soft metal and bolts are usually steel.

Did you confirm the tech rep took that battery pack out of circulation for repair? Doing so would reassure people that it was a typical remedy. One in 200 is fantastic IMO considering the number of people who are still early in on their learning curve. There will be folks who will get upset about this, but most men will shrug it off. Had wrong size tyre fitted to my Ford the other day. That's what I call incompetence
    Stop whing mechanical things happen. Sloppy technician two bad things come together. Not the end of the world
    My battery on my toyota when my wife was driving total shutdown nothing worked luckily I was on hand got sh1t service from toyota when a lot of the computer functions did not return. Told by toyota it couldn't be looked at for 3 weeks
    Happily RAc fixed a new battery. Eventually it all started coming back to life but I would think twice about a hybrid

    You do know gas cars break down as well right? I have many friends who own Jeeps and they love their Jeeps... but they are always breaking down. Another friend seems to drive a BMW loaner car more than his own car. Stuff happens. Good part is Nio owned up to it. Tell you this... I'll never buy a Toyota again after my 4 Runner blew a head gasket 400 VIN numbers outside a known recall. Today I drive a Mitsubishi Eclipse GT. Two headlight replacements since 2008. Don't be afraid to be honest. It's all you got. Could be worse... you could own a Cybertruck with a sticky pedal.

    除了蔚来,其它的EV都没有换电站,人们依然称赞有加;
    蔚来拥有最多的充电桩,为何却因为额外拥有三千座换电站而倍受质疑?
    在整个蔚来公司中,Nio Power 是最接近盈利的部分,更别提在国家政策的支持下,跟其它EV公司的合作之后,建设换电站的投入将大大地减少。

      True. We can see Nio’s slowing down swap stations construction and less than 100 have been built so far this year. We might see a better Q1 result with less loss, but delivery is less than Q1 2023.

    Nio needs a warm hair dryer underneath the car in the winter. Who would have thought that it`s freezing cold in the winter, surprise. As good as battery swapping is you never asked and answered the really important questions people have with swapping. Lost a lot of your credibility. I am dissappointed of you man.

    So, the tech tried to get you out of a jam, and the bolt broke, youve decided to blame it on him. Good job Mr. P. That just shows how none technical and how selfish you are. Given the circumstances, i am pretty sure a "heat gun" is not available. With limiting tools and equipment, the tech decided to manually remove the bolt and during this process, it was broken. I can pretty much assure you that these bolts were most likely worn and was crossthreaded during previously swap. Therefore when he tried to solve your issue, you blame it on him. Hmmmm. Why dont you get out of the car and goto your wife's door to manually unlock the child safety lock? (I am sure child safety lock have both manual and electronic controls.)
    In the end, shit happens. And Nio made it right for you didnt it?
