My BR 6S suspension was personally tuned out of the box and is perfect for what I set it up to do. No chassis slap or weight issue even while running a very high MAH 6S pack. I did not prefer the factory suspension setup, however, Horizon Hobby and Arrma have qualified engineers and development and research professionals, i will refer to them before listening to whiners here on YT, he should conducted research before posting this because there are shock CST higher than what Earl was saying.
@spenn2007 I’m truly sick of your winning comments you don’t watch you just complain! Don’t tune in as you seem to know it all , so for that just don’t watch simply easier to not hate on others,
So pointing out complainers is now "hating"? Locate another video or review complaining about this? You questioned Horizon Hobby's QC department, engineers, PROFESSIONAL test drivers, and research development teams. So, you and a dude who breaks RCs by simply turning them on basically outplayed three teams of professionals that had access to their product years before you did? NO, Cmon bro, if social media wasn't full of idiots Arrma and Horizon Hobby wouldn't even respond to you.
@spenn2007 problem is you didn’t watch this video as I say even with the issue that I didn’t know about these are the best feelings shocks on a rtr ? That’s the issue no one complained in this video …your leaving comments on a video you didn’t watch that’s the issue here 💯
hi earl! I'm the guy with the comment in that video, thank you for mentioned me about that comment, I was talking about Big rock 6s. My opinion about the different oil color is that the rear axle works harder than the front one and the metal in it oil is that protection of the metal from the shock shaft. I was lucky that I didn't find those weak nuts from the pistons when I changed the oil. I also want to tell you that since you bought the mojave 4s I've been watching your every video, even if I'm not a Traxxas guy. Thank you!
Appreciate the support and the comments, watching the videos and leaving comments really help when it comes to something I might miss thanks for all the support 🙏👍
8:21 HoBao dues this with many of their models . . . a very good thing as it keeps am that fine debris out and away from the shaft. Only thing is depending on if they tear they can also hold debris causing more issue. Give and take
The new 6S Kraton EXB uses 1300cst as well. It’s pretty common for those piston nuts to be loose!! It’s unfortunate, I’ve had the same issue on many of the 6s line. Also, the infraction and limitless use 2000cst in their shocks. It just 2k diff fluid. Keep it going!!! Enjoy the tech!!
Just got my BR 6s 2 weeks ago and absolutely loving the in depth videos of this beautiful RC. Thankfully mine doesn't have the ESC glitch but really appreciate all you do for the hobby! Just a semi beginner question, why didn't you use loctite on the nuts for the piston shaft? is the lock nut enough? You da man earl!
I always like these videos Earl. Just kicking back and learning. How long have you been into RC dude? I'm going on 3 years and still loving it! I've had many hobbies but this one just had taken over them all.
Earl, great video. Gonna check mine out tomorrow. I've got the TLR 100wt oil, use it in my Mojave 6S. Improved the handling on that massively. I'll sort my Bigrock 6S shocks and let you know if mine have the same issues
Good morning, Earl. Been waiting for this video since you purchased the Big Rock 6s late last year... I too had tuned my rear shocks on my Bog Rock 6s. I had to go outside the RC world and buy much stronger springs. I will share that info when I get home from work today. Works great with stock ~100wt shock fluid. Also, I recall Arrma has the wrong springs listed on the BOM.
Interestingly I put 60 weight in mine, but I looked at it , the gentleman was absolutely right 👍, I service mine every 10 15 packs, awesome 😎 review Earl.
I had bought some TLR 100wt oil a couple weeks ago for my Kraton 6 s EXB. I think my jaw dropped open when I checked the manual and seen it listed such a heavy oil for stock replacement. The difference in color of your front and rear may have been due to the wear in the rear shock bodies.
You should be setting droop so the shocks aren’t bottoming out. Piston shouldn’t rock but this sounds more like a droop might’ve never been set correct to begin with leading to your pistons bottoming out and loosening over time.
@MaximumRC_ Talion 2000cst most others show 1000cst that most stores will carry in stock as they stop at 80wt Talion one of those rc that a great street flat dirt racer like the big rock is proving to be
Earl, Need your help here. I bought a HPI Savage 25 off of Ebay. It looks to be in great shape. I did replace the fuel tank and fuel lines. When I use the roto stater it turns over fine and the piston looks in really good shape. The thing is the fuel is not making it to the carburetor. I am covering the muffler Any ideas?

Right on
I think the graphite colored come from the inside of the shock body. I think it started out clear and just ended up that color.
23:39 new style Arrma self relieving oil bypass shocks
Nice Job Mr Moorehead

I personally like to fill my socks with mayonnaise for that extra thick texture 😂
If im not mistaken its a popular thing to do 2k to 5k in the limitless and its family.. cenestoke not weight, that is
You should be setting droop so the shocks aren’t bottoming out. Piston shouldn’t rock but this sounds more like a droop might’ve never been set correct to begin with leading to your pistons bottoming out and loosening over time.
Since the rc never came with drop screws on the 1/5th scale rc that’s another cost you’ll have to add
The big rock droop was set day one before it was ever run I show it in the video on prep of your new rc 💯
14:05 nice metallic fluid😳
Right I get the defective rc again quality control rc again lmao just me no one else 😮🙃
@@earlmoorhead5555 no one else noticing. I do remember once other RC that has loose piston valve nuts. Can't remember what one though🤔
Arrma talion has 2000 cst factory
The 6s infraction and feloney have 2000cst stock.
Yes onroad is normal 👍
Arrma nero has 2000cst too u can find them thicker oils but have to order online cause you know not too must people use those oils
Nero and Talion are two rc I don’t own from arrma as the Nero parts support is almost gone now 😮
@earlmoorhead5555 yea those nero days are gone r.i.p to the nero 🫡
There is an RTR out there it comes with stock, thick shock fluid is the Arrma NERO BiG ROCK
& i 🏃♂️ 4000cst in all 4 shocks
😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
15:59 pun intended
Those shock springs are for the NERO BiG ROCK 6s
Not for the Mojave / big rock 6s
😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
It’s on arrma upgrade list for the big rock 6s rtr under upgrade part

i would have just gotten Kraton Springs
Most Arrma 6S are thick fluid
I own most every arrma 6s rc and most are around the mid level 50k shock fluid range 🤔

Yes it’s plugged up you can get a replacement online depending on the style for under $40.00
If you have an ultrasonic cleaner from harbor freight take carb off and clean it in it might clear it up
@@earlmoorhead5555 Thank you. I’ll try it tomorrow.
