i would still start out with the 4T as most of your searching at the end was with the thermal for first spotting and then going over to night to see, in a SAR scenario the thermal would be fine and then a spotlight for secondary vision with normal camera if you also using the drone to take photos or filming a bit, if you only using it for SAR then yes 4N is the one to start with. you seem to have the ears of AUTEL so can you please please push them for making a multispectral camera for this drone, then it would be the perfect enterprise drone, thermal, 4M and multispectral camera all in "one" drone the only other thing it would then need is to be waterproof and also land on water ;). and when you already talking to them then a lidar module for 3D scanning would also be ideal. i'm mapping out what drone to buy for starting a business and where i live there is a lot of farmland plus old houses so thermal and multispectral will be the biggest money makers, mapping and 3D scanning would be second
So the drones are the same and you can change out the cameras ? I am focused on night vision and IR to see under the trees looking for animals .. I am confused on which drone to buy the T or N or is it really the same and I is it need to buy they extra camera
I really enjoyed your videos. Thank you. I do have a request or a question, The Autel evo Max 4t advertises a function called terrain follow. Does this drone really do the terrain follow function? Where I live, the mountains climb to close to 12000 feet, and the base of the mountain sets at 6500 feet. In the desert, the canyons can drop four hundred feet, and the cliffs can climb to over a thousand feet. With the limit of the rules here in the US, you can only fly at 400 feet above the ground. This can be a problem when the area you're looking for lost/missing cows climbs quite rapidly and over four hundred feet from launching or take off point. A video showing that the terrain follow function really works would be a big help to me. And I believe that there are probably many others that have the same problem.
Yes, it's compatible with Autels own speaker and dual light system. The system operates in a similar manner to the DJI M30T system, that's to say you can link it to the camera angle.
So let me get this straight. If you purchase either one of these two drones, you can convert it between 4t mode and 4n mode with these cameras? I wonder how much the cameras are. Buy the 4t drone then purchase the 4n camera payload and switch between the two when needed on the one drone, mission complete. 😁
Yes, the evo max range can have just the drone replaced in future. You currently have a 4N and 4T models available but we hear more options coming including mapping specific payload. 1 drone platform with many uses. Slightly more inclusive than DJI’s model of a different drone for each specific purpose
@@edinburghdronecompanyDji just dropped the price of M30T from $14,000 to $9700. I believe the versatility of the Evo Max (swappable payload, mm wave radar, lower price) has got them back to the drawing board.
They are fantastic bits of kit! Interesting use case, we tend to see travel filming with the Autel Lite+ range more than this but could get some amazing shots using the night vision
Brilliant presentation as usual Jack 👌🏾 Im really, really finding it difficult to hold of investing in the Eco Max4, with its interchangable lenses. Steve
Hi Steve, it’s a game changer having the ability to swap payloads and it’s sooooo easy! 4T & 4N payloads have massively impressed and the AI system is different level. We hear a 4M for mapping is on its way to! The craft is very reasonably priced as well. We aren’t allowed to show retail prices but think circa £8k for full drone and payload and then you can get additional payloads for the one drone. If the worse ever happens, drone only options are available and they sit under £5k. Let me know when ready, I would suggest think commercially so what would increase your ability and in turn, increase income? I would suggest 4T and M when it comes but you do support emergency services so the 4N may allow you to operate longer. Thermal inspections are an easy add on and the zoom allows standard vision inspections. Shout when ready and let us know if you want to get hands on the crafts. Currently 4N in with 4T out with an English fire service for trials.
@@edinburghdronecompany so would u just get a 4T & then a 4N extra cam & swap out? would that be easy to do & recognize right away the change like u said before
@@rahlap2449 the autel 4t max is actually pretty nice so I would agree with that now. Depending on the use. I will say the cameras are slightly better on the m30T but who cares if you can't get into geofenced areas. So yeah I would say new autels are better
Shame the 50 MP camera is only running at 12 mp... and the waypoint mapping, including the much anticipated Helical hasn't been released. Orginally the EVO Max was meant to be compatible with Livedeck 2... but it's not...Hot swapable battery changes aren't an option unless you're running the beta software. lets hope next weeks software update addresses these shortfalls. That said the AI is now working. I wish you'd review the drone and it's current capabilities truthfully.
Oh do the livedeck 2 not work with the max series??? that sadly take a few points off for me, for SAR that is a great feature to have and i was simply expecting that it would work as they both came out about the same time. i have already suggested it as a package deal, i hope it is something they can fix with at software update or as minimum an attachment to the top connector.....
@chrisedinburgh5051 Sadly Autel has stopped development on the compatibility with the EVO Max and the Livedeck 2 (Still ok for Evo2 v3). The Evo Max is scheduled to use another system which is called AMAK. They've also now admitted the 4T camera is a 12 Mega pixel camera, and funky software multiplys it by 4... giving the "48 mega Pixel" quoted. As you'll have access to things, have a look at the pricing for the upcoming Evo Max multicharging system... The new cheaper payload without the laser range finder has been dropped.. The EVO2 (version 1) was a genius piece of equipment with numerous options and complimentary systems. It works well for SAR roles, the 640T camera still holds today. As a 4T operator, it's not as capable (caveat... at the present time of writing).
@The28insider i will have to look a bit more into this before I throw a lot of money at this drone then, what good is a drone that can change payloads if they only make 2 (3) dif ones, a dji mavic 3 drone with multispectral camera cost about £3.500 that and a evo 3 enterprise thermal would still be less then the max 4t.... why would they make a 12MP camera at that price range... anyone compared the quality compared to a evo 3 enterprise?
@@The28insider Do you have a link to your info? I find it very hard to find any info in general about this drone except from the reviews on youtube.... like that they now will make that amak instead of the livedeck

Curious about that myself.

Questions how many times can the autel evo max 4n starlight zoom camera well zoom?
Up
Can you do a video showing how good the obstacle avoidance works in low light that it claims it can do.
Two questions:
1) can the starlight camera in split screen zoom in?
2) what is the blinking light point in the starlight image?
Thank you!
the blinking light is the laser from the range finder
So the drones are the same and you can change out the cameras ?

NIcely done EDC! Are any of these drones IP rated?
Thank you. The Autel 4 range has an IP rating of IP43 and the Autel Alpha has an IP rating of IP55

Great information
Are there any ‘night vision’ or infrared drones for a cheaper price?
Yes, look at the DJI Mavic 3T or go back generations ( Mavic 2 dual and advanced as well at autels older 640T’s)
Can you put a spot light on these drones?
We hear the brand are soon to release lots of accessories like a search light & speaker combo
