As a member of a Search & Rescue drone team I get to work with the 30T as an image analyst ( camera operator ) I can confirm that this unit is amazing !
Does this drone auto calculate the GPS offset? More specifically, every drone gives its own GPS in real time, but to shoot a range finder distance and slope and to then have GPS point A (drone's location) and GPS point B (missing person's location). Does the drone auto generate GPS point B?
Here's something you may or may not know regarding drones. Drones fly level & straight-out, they stay at height regardless of distance flown. There's no angle changes had. i.e. there's no rise, no dip, drop or anything else. Drones stay at starting height regardless distance flown. If you force a drone to adjust & correct for claimed globe curvature, it crashes. It crashes no matter how far you extend the distance flown to correct & adjust for claims of physical globe curvature. This is the same for all aircraft.
I'm sure that simply by avoiding the land that the girl clearly wasn't in, you saved officers hours worth of search time ending up in a quicker rescue. When there’s three people standing by the house, getting ready to search the woods and you talk about how good the camera is if you look, there’s two guys to the right and one guy to the left basically there in a triangle. The guy to the left formed the top point of the triangle. If you look at his feet, he’s standing still for 30 seconds. He takes one step forward with his left foot and you can see the grass on the ground has a heat signature and it fades away in like five seconds. That’s a damn good heat imaging camera sensor !!!!

How do these thermal drones work in a jungle environment ? Did the Colombia SAR teams use a thermal drone to help find the four lost children (13, 9, 4 and 1 year old) from the small plane crash. Thankfully they were rescued this week after 40 days about three miles from the crash site. Is the jungle with its higher heat more difficult for thermal imaging to find a human than mountain terrain. How about telling apart humans from dog-size live animals? thanks.

Great video, Billy! Unfortunately, this drone is now on the US BLACK list. NO Government agencies, schools, and universities can only buy or use it. I am an adjunct professor and teach drone flight school. The College used minis 2's to train with; those are all now grounded. Also, we had to go to Skydio or others for search and rescue training and use. In my opinion, this is a real shame, as this is a great drone!
Thankfully, this is not accurate. I have flown with some three-letter agencies that use DJI drones. I also know that many federally funded schools can buy and use drones not on the Blue UAS list.
DJI website will not let me purchase this drone. Where and how can I buy this drone? I found websites, but don't trust them. I do own a DJI mini 4 pro. I need to upgrade. Damn man you didn't breath once ahah This sounded more like a product placement than a review, but it's one DAMN FINE PIECE of drone. However, 10.000 dollars is a bit too much for the average consumer.
I don’t know if I’m understanding your question. Are you asking will a little kid be visible under sheet metal in the thermal camera? No, the thermal camera cannot penetrate anything. It only reads the thermal energy of the object it’s looking at.
@@northfalls yes that was my question so the child’s heat would have to somewhat heat the metal to give off some heat signal. Ok so what was being said is that you can clear a large area at a time by using the drone thermal?. Do the rescue workers just not search the area then? I guess I’m asking if there is no heat signature it’s not 100%that the child isn’t there, correct? They could be inside a sewer or water pipe. Just asking.
Kyle- thanks for the great videos. Do you know if there is any concern by the Drone community on TH-cam after the spy balloon from China is also linked to DJI Drones doing the same thing?
I deleted this three times... but "linked to DJI drones doing the same thing?" is somewhat infuriating to me. Quoting you: "DJI is a Chinese company". You nailed it! Because that is all you are saying. I don't see anything about DJI being convicted of any spying, but yes there's a lot of suspicion, I suspect some fueled by DJI competitors. You can control your data though, and where it goes, so I'm not sure why some people feel they are being spied upon, or exploited as it were. We have to take responsibility for our own actions (or lack thereof) and how we share data anywhere. I had a very high clearance in the military, and yet it took me awhile to realize the significance of that clearance. I was trusted by my country. When flying a drone nothing is transmitted or recorded unless you allow it to be, which is totally under user control. If the drone was doing anything someone would have detected it by now and wrote about it. But your question is common, unfortunately. Sorry Kyle to write so much here.
I didn’t say DJI is a Chinese company. So if you are going to quote me please be correct. Secondly, my question was directed to Mr Kyle and not to anyone else. Since I don’t have an email address for Mr. Kyle I wrote my question here. My advice to just keep scrolling if questions like mine bother you. After all it’s a question. Don’t sweat the small stuff and it is all small stuff.

Our agency was forced to buy the Skydio x2e due to the dji ban. It's no comparison
There is no DJI ban. There’s just a Blue UAS list that DJI is not on. The Blue UAS list allows agencies to choose whether or not they’ll follow it.
Not true at all
To clarify, we receive Federal money for our drone program. We can no longer use this money to purchase DJI drones. Therefore we can't use them.
Thankfully, this is not accurate. I have flown with some three-letter agencies that use DJI drones. I also know that many federally funded schools can buy and use drones not on the Blue UAS list.
@@northfalls can you share a link that validates what you were saying? I would love to share it with administration.
I love the drone. Thing is I’ll be bidding on Fed jobs and I think I stick to one on the blue list
Do you need some type of certificate to do search and rescue? The fact you can see a chicken from that far is wild
You need the FAA Part 107 Cert
DJI website will not let me purchase this drone. Where and how can I buy this drone? I found websites, but don't trust them. I do own a DJI mini 4 pro. I need to upgrade. I do have a business, this drone that will help out me a lot at work. Plus I would like to help the police, and Fire Department if they need me, like you did. I
Enterprise drones are best purchased by third party dealers.
@@billykyle Thank you!!
Saw guys finding Pythons at night using night vision thermal equipped drone in South Florida
they are cold blooded animals so good luck with that.
@@12vibaba It was the telly and looked real enough , maybe it was Trump supporters it was finding as it was in a swamp .
I would love to have this drone😅
thermal camera + AI for generating color = the result is amazing 😳😳😳😳
No AI here
@@billykyleI mean just imagine
Can anyone buy the matrice m30?
Yes, anyone can buy this beast.
Wow this guy can certainly talk !!!
Glad they found the girl tho
Can I make a living as a SAR drone pilot? (with a license)
While it’s a possibility, most (~98%) SAR groups are volunteer in the USA. I cannot speak for other countries.
I crashed 4 DJI drones in on my 5th @dji
Thermal drones are perfect for preppers.
Finding this young girl is a good news!! Do you get paid when doing this kind of mission?
SAR missions are almost always volunteer for civilians.
@@northfalls oh! right! makes very much sense!! thanks for your answer
Yup. Volunteer. But, happy to help
@@billykyle of course! helping people is the pay here!
Great video! I absoutely admire the technologies and the drone! On aesthetics, the excessive numbers of cameras and sensors on the drone makes it look like a super ugely bug (sorry ..)
That thing looks like a sentinel from the matrix
Quisiera verlo con la bocina y la linterna please
Damn man you didn't breath once ahah
This sounded more like a product placement than a review, but it's one DAMN FINE PIECE of drone.
However, 10.000 dollars is a bit too much for the average consumer.
This one isn’t for a consumer! It’s a commercial drone.
14k. This thing better come with a 10 year warranty
👍👍✌️
Ok let’s say a little kid is hiding under some wood or sheet metal to keep out of the rain, woukd it show enough to make it a search point JIC ??
@@joedevaney1145 Sorry. Sorry also that you did not know that DJI is a Chinese company. Meanwhile, don't sweat it.
When in thermal mode, I think of Call of Duty
Best rescue drone ever....uhhh, uhh, no the drone didn't find the girl. My Mini 3 Pro would have been just as effective. Dude, it's just a drone, your level of excitement is creepy!
You’re a complete idiot if you think the Mini 3 Pro would have been just as effective.
Hahaha! This comment made me laugh. Good one!
@@billykyle The rescue drone wasn't able to find the girl. My Mini 3Pro would not have found the girl. That makes them equally effective/ineffective in this particular scenario. Was my comment written above your grade level? Go back to playing with your toys...
You're Creepy!
Kyle - would you be able to share a document that shows SAR best practices using a drone? If you can, I’ll give you my email ti send to. I am looking at getting into this and would love some guidance on the operational aspect, specifically flight profiles and search techniques
Pilot institute will be releasing a SAR course soon with all that info. I don’t have a single document with all the best practices of both aviation and SAR. However, you should always use Lost Person Behavior before flying. Flying grids is the slowest and least effective way to search.
@@northfalls thanks. Greg and his team are awesome, can’t wait to see it.
How much did DJI pay you for this ad?
now we're getting close to a matrix squid look 🦾
