This just grinds my gears so much editing a different franchise into this one doesn't make sense... Maybe for filler material but by God Star Wars is no greater in storytelling than this, both have unique ways of galactical conflict and social structure... Just seems tacky and I maybe nit picking..

It's so damn good. I dismissed it in the 90's as nowhere near as good as TNG and only sat down to watch it all a few years ago. Wish I had done it sooner and would love to watch it anew all over again. WAAAY better than (the still excellent) TNG

This is/was it right here! … this is where I was introduced to the incompetent imperial nature of the Federation and Star Fleet's prideful attitude of exploration in claiming areas of space and other things for themselves without permission in intruding on other people's territory that in part caused the Dominion War + wasn't there's in the first place and their eventful downfall in many battles to come despite the warnings = later series like Discovery + Picard and so forth proved this, which cost billions upon trillions of lives for a stupid believe system of philosophy, which is heavily outdated from the 19th and early 20th century eras of idealism. I don't have those luxuries... WW1 & today's world is living prove of that.
