I was telling my friends while listening to it that you've managed to capture what I call the "vanilla plus" feeling of really nailing the style and feel of the original song and capturing the important elements, but then taking it to a whole other level with your composition; even though we remixed the flavor, it's still adjacent enough that it feels so warm and familiar. We were talking about how this track sounds like the special-edition bonus track that we'd expect to get out of an official OST for Balatro because it feels like it _belongs_ to the game - the way that some games use a re-arrangement of their game's theme for their end-credits roll. Absolutely killer cover and arrangement. It's been a long time since I've been hit with a game cover that feels like I've just gotten a deluxe-edition track straight out of the game itself.

I dug into it. It would be pretty easy to add to the game as its own track, but the game itself has many files for each of the variations of the song, as heard when in a blind vs opening a tarot pack. All of these variations are programmed to be tied together and fade in and out of each other to create the cool effect as seen in game. Adding this song, while a great idea, would not be able to really fit in that way because it does not match the formula that all of the other music does.

Balatro is an amazing game purely for the fact it reminds me of being a kid, sitting down with just a deck of cards and trying to come up with functioning RPG like, rogue-like elements inspired by Urban Rivals and something like Slay the Spire, it feels like what I wanted to do in my head as a kid with no one to play with
