  • The 2024 Acura Integra A-Spec 6-speed manual is a ton of fun to drive, but also well equipped given its price point.
    Here on Drive Culture, we’ve already reviewed the Acura Integra Type S, so be sure to check out that video if you haven’t already.
    Let us know down in the comments are you going for the A-Spec given its great value or are you stepping all the way up to Type S!
    Don’t forget there’s also the Civic Si, which is also a great value in the sport compact segment, let us know if we should review that one too.

    I like your reviews, lifetime Honda fanboy here, I think Acura did good overall with the Integra and its 5-door body style, but... its not any quieter than a civic hatch. More sound deadening material would go a long way in adding the expected refinement people expect from a premium brand. Lastly, while the 1.5T with the manual is great fun and relatively fuel efficient, it would be nice to see Acura offer a hybrid set up.

      How's the 1.5t? I have an accord n hope I can still get one of these in the next 3 to 4 years. I hear the oil dilution is an issue but having the engine and knowing to do regular maintenance is everything

    Loving the new Integra. My only gripes would be the piano black center console, and I wish the rear had vents so my kid can be comfortable as we enjoy the weekend canyon runs during the summer.

      Thanks for the comment & feedback! Yeah it’s been interesting to see all of the after-market options to cover or replace the piano black console. The vents in the back would be nice, but I sat back there with A/C set to “Auto LO” and it was pretty cold! 🥶

    You should consider implementing a tune/type s intake conversion/suspension/type s shifter assembly bundle . It would be bonkers to have an honda/acura sanctioned upgrade like that. Depending on what's provided it would be 1-3k to make a "gs-r" integra. I'd pay that.

    • @Drive_Culture
      @Drive_Culture  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks for the comment & detailed feedback! Yeah an OEM upgrade like that would be pretty sweet indeed! It’s pretty amazing the aftermarket support that’s currently out there though, lots of options.

    • @bearlucidity
      @bearlucidity 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Drive_Culture that's a fair point. There are definitely options out there to accomplish this. Once I've made peace with and prepared for the possible outcome of blowing up an engine, I'll try my take on the "gs-r" with my a spec tech manual. Thanks for reading and responding.

    I wish the heated steering wheel option, specifically the type would have red stitching like the Canadian model. Also the button on the left side of the dash, instead of the bulky switch on the steering wheel.

    If the A-spec came with the 2.0 turbo from the last gen accord, maybe a body kit, and wider tires... I think that would be a great option. It could distinguish the integra from the si a bit more as well... Or if you could get that engine in the civic si... The 1.5L has had reliability issues anyway. I know we have the type s... But that car is a real stretch for many. My suggestion could replace the old accord sport 2.0T., but better

    • @Drive_Culture
      @Drive_Culture  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for the comment & detailed feedback! The 1.5T has generally been pretty good in the Integra & Si, but I do know there have been oil dilution issues on other models, which seem to have been resolved. With that said, adding that engine & features would make the car more expensive… so I wonder if it would still be viewed as a great value in the segment.

      I think you and i are saying the exact same thing... Remember the old accord 2.0 turbo with the detuned type R engine would be perfect. 252 horsepower. There is no fun accord anymore. So they could drop that engine in an integra or the si... Because the integra type s is almost unattainable for many...

    I've seen a lot of people complain on forums and on YT about Integra interior buzzing and rattles (which actually sound pretty bad/annoying), and dealerships seemingly aren't able to fix them. Is that something buyers should expect with the Integra, including the Type S, even though it's $50k+? This is happening with cars that have a few hundred and thousands of miles.

    • @Drive_Culture
      @Drive_Culture  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks for the comment & feedback! I have an Integra Type S and no rattles so far, but my car only has 2k miles on it. Honestly, I drive a lot of modern cars (from a lot of brands & price points), and Integra doesn’t seem to stand out worst than any other car in its price range. Not making excuses because rattles can be annoying, but sometimes they come & go on cars just due to a change in temp. Obviously, if there’s a really bad dash rattle, then I think that’s where you have to see what a dealership might be able to do to fix it.

      @@Drive_Culture Gotcha, thank you for the response. Trying to get a sense of whether I should be concerned about it, but if it's about the same as other new cars nowadays then I guess that's fair. Hoping to pick an ITS up soon and just came across this rattling thing from some other owners.

    What is the split?

    A spec percentage with manual?
    A spec percentage sold with cvt ?

    I say this beats the type s for me. Has all the gadgets and a reasonable price. Yes, it doesn't have the 2L T and all it's great additions for fun and performance, but losing the middle back seat, usb ports in the back, passanger seat electric adjuster, memory seats, and the fog lights is just a big step backwards. All that with a boost to 50 grand? Hell no. The type s is a great car fun wise but value wise it's a waste of money
