Trying to figure out a way to narrow some rear Tamiya SRB tires to run as fronts on my lil sand scorcher edit: I know this is 6 years ago.... still for anyone: if you keep having problems with bearings getting water in them, replace them with some oilite bushings. you'll never notice the difference between those and bearings in a crawler (except you won't have to rebuild it all of the time!)

The guys in East rock rods I think it's called. Madram11 had episode about TN cut. It's a certain way to soften and open up groove in Tire. Only way to get to top of these Steep TN hills. Great job on tires. Got me ready to try it. Thanks
Great idea. I use a lathe to do the same, but I also widen tires by adding the center piece from the doner. Then you have wider AND slimmer tires. Does the wife let you do that on the kitchen counter.......lol.....?
Wow! I love your creativity and ingenuity in doing this. Great ideas! Thx for sharing this. Just a correction - You said "Shoe Goo", but that tube looks like "Amazing Goop - All Purpose Adhesive". Shoe Goo may not work as well as the Goop product.
IMO, I think they would've been perfect if they were as wide as the un-squished versions. But these super skinnies still look really good on this truck.
