- How to mow in reverse on a Cub Cadet riding lawn mower. I never knew this was a feature, guess it pays off to actually read the instructions, but who ever does that?

Hell I've been disengaging the blade everytime I go in reverse. So glad someone figured it out!

Thanks!!!! I bought one last year and the dude I bought it off taught me how to do that. Well I just mowed for the first time this season and I couldn’t for the life of me get it figured out. I knew I had to push that button but the light wouldn’t stay on. It was the turning the key back to the middle AFTER starting it I was missing. 😊
😂 same here last year I hated mowing backwards having to disengage. Now I know turn key to middle! Cutting season is here!

If you did not already the reason that that is like that is because cub cadet had gotten sued years ago because a dad ran over their kid

Troybuilt is only retarded mower that has hand adjusted speed lever that has to be set by pressing on the brakes, and gear shifter to the left, then the reverse button and all everything is so made to make your life miserable while mowing. I like john deere and cup cadet press forward goes forward press down goes backwards no shifter no BS hand adjustable lever.

Is there a way to bypass this switch? My mower won’t start because something is wrong within this switch and I can’t get anyone to work on it
You can bypass the switch. But there is probably something wrong with one of your safety interlocks. It's usually the one that's activated by the deck hole cover on mine.
Read the manual folks.

how do you do that? which safety feature? I hate trying to remember to hit the orange triangle. mine is a 2023 model.
@@mikekelsch9464 You just unplug it. It works by grounding the spark so if unplugged, it's non-functional. I can't recommend you do this, of course.
I just made a jumper and bypassed this feature.

You can just unplug them. Then you can plug them back in if you need them in future.
