I drive a bus for seniors…this wonderful man I knew heard this song, started crying singing this out loud…I drove around the block a few times and let him have his moment with this song. He’s passed away but this song forever taught me how music can touch your soul ❤
Two weeks ago today, my husband of 50 years, passed away. Oh how he loved me so very very much. He showed me and told me what I meant to him. This song says it all. The pain hurts so bad. I love him and miss him more than I could express.
I lost my husband five years ago. I couldn't listen to music for several years because we both loved music and it was a big part of our lives together. Every note was pain for me. Just recently began to enjoy music again. I still miss him terribly.
Dear Beverly, I'm so sorry for the loss of your husband. "Nights In White Satin" , I think, is one of the most poignant love songs ever written and recorded. It's always been one of my favorites since the first time I heard it as a wee lad in '73. Only Gordon Lightfoot's "If You could read My Mind" can compare.
This song seems to remind me that life is about loss. I've been married 40 years, and I know My time is coming. I just want to go before my wife,I couldn't live without her. You don't realize how short life is when you're younger, but now I do
Sad yet true. All of our time is coming, Don. Don't despair. I believe the other side is Beautiful ! Whoever leaves first just know that you'll be together for eternity. May god Bless You.
I hope you have some children or grandchildren to keep you here until your time has come to an end. As an older person I truly understand you. God bless you.
Yes…..I’ve been having the same thoughts. I am 67 but still feel 23 some days when this song described my broken heart. Life does go quickly. But, I’m glad God gave it to me, nevertheless. God bless you.
I lost my daughter, dad and my mom in the past 3 years. My mom passed away last month and I'm going through a lot with everything. I find comfort in remembering my time with them, some of it through music. This song popped up just yesterday and I was overwhelmed and overjoyed with emotions. I was 4 when I first heard Nights in White Satin❤. My mom loved this song 🎵 and so do I .... Thank you Mom❤❤❤ 🕊️🕊️🕊️.
It seems we lose our loved ones in groups. When I was cleaning out my uncle's ( and my best friend) apartment last month it really hit home that we come into this world with nothing and we leave this world with nothing. Hold the ones you love close while you still can.
My mother in Jordan lived and loved this song very much. She passed away three years ago. In the hospital with my aunts they were singing this song together with a big smile on her face. May she rest in peace and happiness. Thank you
I dated a guy back in the day and this was our song. Whenever it came on we stopped whatever we were doing and danced to it. I remember on time we were driving down the road and it came on. We stopped the car, turned up the volume, got out of the car and danced to the song. Good time!!!
It never ceases to amaze me how something as simple as the soft strumming of a guitar or the hypnotic flow of a soothing voice can awaken all your senses. I just close my eyes and suddenly I’m transported back to a different time and place where life was much simpler. I can hear the voices of family and friends, smell the flowers on the cool evening breeze, and for a brief moment my loved ones are beside me and all is right in the world.
My grandma asked me to play this song because she was amazed at the fact you can play any song at all on TH-cam. To see her smiling and humming along just makes me so happy. I'm glad she can experience and have these songs dear to her and listen whenever she wants. Thank you.
I lost both my parents this last year along with both of my dogs, the loss has been unbearable, but listening to this song brings me back to my childhood and helps me relive the memories I had with my loved ones, life is so delicate, never take the time you have with those you care for the most for granted. God I miss them.
Idk if I could survive that. I hope you have someone that you love almost as much as all of them, or that you are able to find someone for whom you could have almost that much love. I'm so sorry for your losses and the unfathomable pain you've endured.
If only I had a time machine to take me back to this time in my life. Music was outta sight and life seemed so simple. Truly was the best years of my life! Seems like yesterday.
Even at my young age of 28, this song still mesmerizes me. I absolutely love classics like this. It always helps me slow down and internalize the hear and now

@@debbiemcneilrutz8010 Like you, I was born in the 50s, but I think if I had a choice in it, knowing what I know now, I'd choose to be born in the 40s. I don't remember anything from the 50s except small, little-kid stuff, like lifting up a board behind our house, and seeing a snake, dropping it and running to tell others who came, and not finding a snake, called me a liar. Yes these are crazy and messed up times if you read 2nd Timothy 3:1 but know this that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here. These times have been foretold eons ago we also know there's going to be a resurrection of the Dead according to Daniel 12-2 those who sleep in the dust of the earth will wake up .and what about Psalms 3:29 the righteous will possess the Earth and they will live forever on it. And then Matthew 24:14 this good news of the Kingdom will be preached to all the nations and then the end will come. To do more research go to jw.org

Ok im gonna leave my opinion on this song, No i didnt have anyone play this song for me as a kid or a loved one that this was our song or it wasnt my fathers favorite song that he would play over and over. I first heard this song in a movie, can’t remember which one since they have used it in many movies. So the first time i heard it i was mesmerized and it fit the moment in the movie so well that i cried because its such a beautiful song. One of the most beautiful love songs of all time in history actually. It is perfectly yet simply written. Nothing fancy just simple words put together so graciously that it gives you goosebumbs every time you listen to it. Its a great masterpiece to say the least. Lets all enjoy great music like this because it will never be replaced. September 28, 2022

What a beauty of a song. Loved it then! Love it now! Like a fine wine-it keeps getting better. Every time I listen to it, I get misty-eyed-wonder why! Brings back great memories.
I had the pleasure of seeing them in concert. This song takes me back to the simpler times of the mid 70s. I can still see the crowd and feel the emotions flowing through me. It was something that I'll never forget. To bad that this version didn't finish with the poem. "Breathe deep the gathering gloom, watch lights fade from every room......"
It does ring true. Sad. Human beings are so incredibly complex when simplicity is what usually brings to u whatever it was u were searching for. And if not then you found something better anyway by choosing what is important and what is not. Its simple. Guaranteed.
This song is the backdrop for an interesting little tableau. I grew up listening to the Moody Blues, since my parents were hippies. Anyway, I was about to graduate Basic Training, 16 weeks of pure hell. A couple of days before graduation, one of the range instructors had this song playing on the radio. I reminded me that not only was there still another world outside of Basic, but that I would be back in it very soon. It was my own sort of "light at the end of the tunnel."
I was 15 in 1967 when this was a huge AM radio hit. Along with their first number 1 single Go Now all my teenie bopper girlfriends swooned over this heart throb song when we had crushes for boys where we thought our broken love sick hearts would never heal. And now at 68 my heart still aches at the thought of losing my new found love of my life we just met in December. By a fluke we sang this karoke song together Nights of White Satin and both swore it always said Knights in the title. Timeless music that rings to your soul.
Odd story I have for you. Army, 71, Ft. Bliss Texas, somehow survived VN. The NCO club was the place on base to meet females on Friday and Saturday. Now, The message of the Moody's probably didn't resonate with the military brass. The last song, every night at 9:50 was Nights in White Satin. Never could figure that out. Bobbie and Lorraine I will remember you forever.
One of my favorite tunes for a twilight flight in my hang glider at Torrey Pines Glider Port, San Diego, CA. Back then we didn't have the nice digital devices we have today. I had my cassette Walkman w/ tunes I recorded on my two-deck recorder/player. Took hours to get it all on one cassette, but the pay-off was great when you could go up and enjoy an entire tape in the air. Miss that place and those times, as I can no longer fly, due to disability. I've got memories that can't be erased, so I consider myself blessed. As we used to say, "Hang gliding is the 'ultimate high'." lol
I was 16 in 1968 and this song remains a great milestone in history of rock ! After all those years this song has the same impact and the same echoe ! Great Great song !
I’m addicted to this song. I heard it on the radio last month for the first time. I want to go horse back riding through the mountains before sunset to this!!!! Shout out to the old souls still in their early 20s
In my mid teens I first listened to the Moody Blues, and had a crush on Justin Hayward. I went to see Leeds Utd at Elland Road, and saw a coach with John Lodge & Co, driving through Leeds, no doubt for a gig. I finally got to hear Nights in White Satin live and other hits at Sheffield a few years ago, and it was packed out ... but of a certain age group! Listen to Blue Guitar, another classic.

Haunting but beautiful. Makes me think about life and death. Rest in peace to all the people I have loved. And to all my pets.
When I was 12 years old- I was at My first summer camp and really liked this cute boy Greg - and He asked Me to slow dance to this song! 🩵 it always takes Me back to feeling excited in 1973!
Such a Beautiful song. Haunting. Mysterious, Beautiful. One of my favorites of all time.
This song was a little before my time but that doesn't matter, I listen to 60s and 70s music all the time. This song is a classic and will never die
I'M HOMESICK FOR A PLACE IVE NEVER BEEN

This song is so entrancing..i get lost in the time stream..overwhemed by regrets but overcome with love deep and everlasting..my moms favorite song
Two years ago my beloved husband of 30 years passed away. I loved him so much. Did I give him the life he deserved? We adored each other. I now know that everything we do has eternal ramifications. Love today like it’s your last. We never know...
My beautiful best friend passed away a few weeks ago and he sent me this a week before. I miss him so damn much
Ok im gonna leave my opinion on this song,
No i didnt have anyone play this song for me as a kid or a loved one that this was our song or it wasnt my fathers favorite song that he would play over and over.

Alain Calderon I agree a song with so much going on, music, words both hit my heart and soul.

Indeed. They hit it.
Bylam bardzo mloda, kiedy pierwszy raz uslyszalam te piosenke i zachwycilam sie nia. Dzisiaj mam 64 lata i moge jej sluchac non stop. Jest niezwykla. Jestem Polka 🇵🇱
I remember this song back when I was 9 or 10. Loved it then and still do. This was in the early 70's the best music back then

San Francisco, California. 7-11-2020.
I used to sit back smoking a joint, getting high and listen to this song....Dam, I want a joint....memories........

"Just what you want to be, you'll be in the end."
So true!
It does ring true. Sad. Human beings are so incredibly complex when simplicity is what usually brings to u whatever it was u were searching for. And if not then you found something better anyway by choosing what is important and what is not. Its simple. Guaranteed.
You know the score mate, many do not.
Maxime De Winter you’re married to Jodie foster???
@Maxime De Winter lolololol
I had some deep belly chuckles on this one
Judy D . You Both were right.
Thx for serving our country
WOW, what a great surprise to hear this great song. ❤️💜❤️💜❤️💜❤️💜❤️💜❤️💜
One gets goosebumps whenever the song is played
America and Soviet Union and nuclear arms race

Yes, yes...a writer's dream
Purely magical
Najljepsa pjesma, vraca me u srednjoskolske dane i jedno divno ljeto u Dubrovniku ❤👍

Casino brought me here! It’s one of the most beautiful, haunting, and mentally quelling songs I’ve ever heard.
Beautiful song and oh so many things in this world left unsaid
