This is something you feel, not listen to. Pink Floyd was my dads favourite band. In later live I know you used to this song so much. RIP dad I miss you so much
Being the happiest you can possibly be is what matters. The dominoe effect sucks. Full stop just being thankful for everything good in your life and everyday is a blessing not everyone gets the chance and it hurts. Cherish everything and everyone good in your life as tomorrows not promised. Be grateful
50 and still enjoying it, gone are the days of deep lyrics in the music world today, now any mediocre 'talent' can churn out popular music with nonsense lyrics for those who only wade into the emotional 'shallow end' of the pool of life.
I have loved this song since I first heard it many years ago but these past few years…this is the theme song! I went through so much with my health and I just detached from reality, myself, everything was like this odd dream I couldn’t wake up from! And even now there’s times I feel like I’m in a fog and I’m just numb and I don’t know how to find my way back to myself. I can’t even explain it! It’s very lonely even in a crowd! I have become comfortably numb!
We're two bro, I understand that perfectly, still trying to feel like myself. I think the way is to connect with our true selves. One day we “wake up” and felt the emptiness, like a big "that’s not it”. Go for it, find yourself.
I guess you just put into words exactly how I feel, and didn't know how to say it, I thank you SO much. It's far better to be comfortably numb than to go through all of the pain and agony that has sucked the life out of me for most of my life. It shouldn't be too much longer, and all of it will finally fade away......
To me, this song is about heroin. I was an addict for 10 years. 10 years clean now. For anybody going through anything that seems impossible in life right now, you are stronger than what you think. Don't give up. 🙌🏼
Congrats. Thats what I think of when hearing this song. I'm almost 10 years off heroin too. Started at 14. There were times I thought I was done, but of course I was kidding myself. One day I woke up and knew I was done. When you know you're done, you're done. Not many addicts or even recovering addicts understand me when I talk about that "done" feeling.
The beauty of this song is that eventhough I know what is it about BUT each one of us connect with it differently ! For me it was always my refuge and place to be when i am feeling down and depressed and wanna be away from everyone. I am a fan of Pink Floyd since 1986!
This definitely hits differently at every age and stage of life. Different from when my dad first played it when I was 5, then I listened to them at 10, then 15, all throughout my 20s and now at 31... I can recall most of the times I've listened to this song, and each time, it's different. Something hits harder than the rest. Dad's the one that introduced me to them to all of us. He's been gone for five years now. Thank you for the music, dad. It's brought me comfort more than you can imagine, just how it did for you. I understand you now more than ever before. Wish You Were Here. Shine on You Crazy Diamond ❤💎
This is one of the most calmest and amazing songs I've ever heard, why didn't my family play this song growing up, I heard Another Brick In the Wall, and Learning To Fly, the singing the guitar playing, it is incredible, I want to try to pick up a guitar and try to play this it's just incredible. I was a huge fan as a kid of Another Brick In the Wall because I hated school , and Learning To Fly was another gem just like this wonderful song to me.
Always a classic Have loved this song since I was 15 I'm now 53 🎉😂. Although the words r a little disappointing ""wen I was a child I had a fever, my hands were like two balloons " 😂
Have a triple espresso shot , listen this gem high volume with the best earphones you can get , when that second riff hit , you can swim up the Niagara Falls , or at least you're convinced can do it.
I know we all have different perspectives of life and mostly depending on how our current experiences are treating us. With that being said. I sit here outside, it's 2:30 am. I leaned back in my chair after I feel it travel down my neck and I think to myself "comfortably numb" Then I look up this song and pay attention to the lyrics which, I never really cared to analyze and even tho I'm numb. I can still feel. & I don't want to keep feeling this way. It's been a cycle if 3 years and idk if I'll win. But I want too. Life is complex and music is the best thing I have. I love life and everyone around me. I just don't love myself and my accomplishments. But I want too, one day. Sorry for the inconvenience of reading this downer even tho the guidelines told me not to be one. Lol I just had to vent this out. Long live Rock 🤟
In one word, c'est un chef-d'œuvre de Pink Floyd: you want to listen to this song when you are sad, happy, in love, in hate, angry, calm, peaceful, hostile, so it is an extremely beautiful masterpiece of Pink Floyd as you are not tired of listening to it over and over, regardless your feelings !

This song's meaning is left to the listener's perspective. To me, it's about dreams and hopes shattered through the use of drugs. Im not a drug addict but sure as hell know what its like to be "comfortably numb"

It is 2024 ...and We are still comfortably numb ... We cannot understand and We can not absorb power of the People, yes We need to stand up ...We are the People!!
@@UlaMariaMagdalena not so comfortable much longer
Mescaline helps. 🌵😊
First time actually listening carefully to this song. Now I get why Al loved this Pink Floyd album.
One of Pink Floyds most underrated songs
Comfortably Numb is hardly underrated.
Comfortably Numb is one of the better known songs, actually.
EVERYONE: This is the greatest PF song Ever
Max: its under rated
ALL ARE CORRECT
@@Maximillian-Tiberius-Rex it was like their 3rd most streamed songs and yet it's still underrated!
This is something you feel, not listen to. Pink Floyd was my dads favourite band. In later live I know you used to this song so much. RIP dad I miss you so much
Rest in peace ❤
Use all your senses to hear and feel it don't putroad blocks up!!😮😮😊
@123peterjackson My dad's been passed 1 year now and it's the same he loved Pink Floyd..praying.
Being the happiest you can possibly be is what matters. The dominoe effect sucks. Full stop just being thankful for everything good in your life and everyday is a blessing not everyone gets the chance and it hurts. Cherish everything and everyone good in your life as tomorrows not promised. Be grateful
My most favourite of Pink Floyd,!!!!!!!
good taste! ❤❤
Just pure genius
50 and still enjoying it, gone are the days of deep lyrics in the music world today, now any mediocre 'talent' can churn out popular music with nonsense lyrics for those who only wade into the emotional 'shallow end' of the pool of life.
When I'm happy and sad I just think of pink floyd.. especially this song
I'm there now... so many of us and we can't even find each other...
I’m only recently last few years -appreciating Pink Floyd.
❤
To me, this song is about heroin. I was an addict for 10 years. 10 years clean now.
For anybody going through anything that seems impossible in life right now, you are stronger than what you think. Don't give up.
🙌🏼
Congratulations bro! Thanks for sharing ❤
@@-dfh-866 Yep. If you know, you know. Congratulations 👌🏼. Keep up the good work. You know as well as I do it's worth it!

Well done . Long road isn't it . Stay strong, stay humble xx
The pain will come to an end one day.
❤
The beauty of this song is that eventhough I know what is it about BUT each one of us connect with it differently ! For me it was always my refuge and place to be when i am feeling down and depressed and wanna be away from everyone. I am a fan of Pink Floyd since 1986!
I remember as a teenager I was so stressed about nearly everything and this song was the only thing I could turn to, this song was my relaxation
Anyone here 2024?

This definitely hits differently at every age and stage of life. Different from when my dad first played it when I was 5, then I listened to them at 10, then 15, all throughout my 20s and now at 31... I can recall most of the times I've listened to this song, and each time, it's different. Something hits harder than the rest.
Dad's the one that introduced me to them to all of us. He's been gone for five years now. Thank you for the music, dad. It's brought me comfort more than you can imagine, just how it did for you. I understand you now more than ever before.
Wish You Were Here. Shine on You Crazy Diamond ❤💎
May he rest in peace ❤
Обожаю тебя, старина Роджер, за музыку и жизненную позицию! Здоровья и музыки! ❤
THANK YOU FOR THIS BEAUTIFUL SONG! I HAVE BEEN LISTENING TO IT OVER AND OVER AGAIN! HAVE A GOOD NIGHT!
:)
I was looking for something to constantly stare at while listening to this piece of composition by Floyd.. Found both here.. thank you 🙌
Thank you for beeing here ;)
Thank you for uploading, with lyrics, so much.
That guitar solo....damn, it breaks my soul in billion pieces....
Thanks for watching ;)
When I was young, before I heard this song, I had dreams that my hands were like balloons. Really made me like the lyrics...
Happy birthday David. Know that people love you. Xxxxxxxx
Always a classic
Have loved this song since I was 15 I'm now 53 🎉😂.
First time i really listened to this song. Every song on Bards is great.
Thank you 🖤
I know we all have different perspectives of life and mostly depending on how our current experiences are treating us.
With that being said.
I sit here outside, it's 2:30 am.
I leaned back in my chair after I feel it travel down my neck and I think to myself "comfortably numb"
Then I look up this song and pay attention to the lyrics which, I never really cared to analyze and even tho I'm numb.
Lol
I just had to vent this out.
Long live Rock 🤟
Don't worry bro, I hear you. Take care!
Hope you’re better now.

I recently have gotten in to Pink Floyd. I knew about them growing up but never really paid much attention to their music. Then just recently i had an eye appt. and decided to listen to them on the drive there and have been lostening almost every day since. I like the calmnes of their music.

La voce di Roger Waters è semplicemente pazzesca, unica... Infinita... Grande!
This song's meaning is left to the listener's perspective. To me, it's about dreams and hopes shattered through the use of drugs. Im not a drug addict but sure as hell know what its like to be "comfortably numb"
