Grisha never said Zeke became the villain, he blamed himself for making the same mistakes his own father did with him by imposing his views on him (now we know to what extent & that Zeke didnt fully rebel against his parents).
And AoT isnt about everyone being bad, its just showing everyone has equal capacity for both good & evil. Its human nature, thats all...

but by zeke becoming the villain , I meant that at that point he was killing the scouts at the fight in shiganshima so as viewers we think that he is the villain and in grisha’s story it’s explained how he became one (does that make sense?) he opposed grisha who we thought was doing the right thing (but we didn’t know how harsh he was on zeke) and zeke rebels them

okay so i never heard that season 4 was being split in two, and back before it started all the posts I saw said there were only 16 episodes and after today's I'm thinking "how the shit are they gonna end it next week" and now is the first im hearing there are 12-16 MORE episodes and I just felt such a euphoric feeling I cannot put into words. Also...I'm incredibly high.
Season 4 part 2 is going to blow everyone’s minds. This show is saving the best for last and the events to come will solidify it as GOAT in popular opinion. Get hype 😆

@@starpaladinnelaj Dunno why people are so skeptical about whether we're getting part two. If they stopped at the part people were most excited for then people would be so angry, and I can't even imagine how much money and publicity the company would lose if they just stopped in the middle. The movie option is not even possible because part one is ending on the manga chapter of either 115 or 116; that would mean there is around 23 chapters left to cover it's not even possible to create a movie covering all that unless it's like LOTR long. I don't think it would flow very well anyways. There is like a 99.9991% chance that there will be a part two so don't worry!

Genocide comes in stages. First stage is King Fritz where they rewrite history to make it look like one race is uniquely responsible for everything bad and nothing good. The Second stage is Zeke where it's like "well why don't we get that race to stop reproducing". And when that doesn't work, that's when you get the "kill or be killed" race wars represented by Eren.
I think the moral of Attack on Titan is "The world would suck if it was filled with genocidal maniacs with super powers."

Both panels of Grisha being so upset on the sidelines watching Zeke fail AND "Thank you for playing catch with me" are such heartbreaking moments. I broke when reading those cuz that feeling of letting your father down despite your best is just fucking real man. Mappa held nothing back and I have nothing but gratitude and praise.

I don't know what Eren has planned but I doubt it's helping Zeke and I would be surprised if the vitriol he showed to Mikasa and Armin was genuine.
Zeke is still an absolute monster no matter how much he thinks his heart is in the right place. I'm amazed Levi could compose himself enough not to just slice him up on the spot.
Season 4 part 2 is going to be a long wait....
If you're not a manga reader then trust me you would be surprised by how much humane Zeke is although his wrong doings can never be redeemed there is still an explanation to why he did that, that's the perspective of this show nobody is a complete monster.

I call him a monster because of the countless Eldians he has slaughtered while turning it into a game and showing absolutely no remorse whatsoever, he even showed his perverse nature when killing Mike way back in S1/S2? It's not like The Owl where he had to keep up appearances, he seems to act like a villain when nobody is around to see him.
And his solution...... It's only a decent one if all Eldians are onboard with it which they won't be. Eren has lived in both nations now for many years so it will be interesting to see what his intentions are. Frankly I want to see him decimate Marley and liberate the Eldians there but who knows.

Fun Fact: The Ackermans are the only ones who can't be manipulated by the Founder Titan meaning that if Eren goes through with genetically changing all Eldians he wouldn't affect Mikasa or Levi.

In my opinion, Erin wants eldians to take an equal place amongst the rest of the world as a nation. Zeke wants the eldian race to end altogether as a sacrifice for the greater good. It wasn’t stupid, it was the best option he had considering the fact that Eren’s fanclub were trailing them so he had to get to Trost as fast as he could, there was no time to take pauses and constantly cut off Zeke’s limbs. It would have worked had Zeke not gone suicidal

Best flashback episode yet. Loved how it was shown, but damn did Levi make a dumb choice. Implant a powerful explosive a meter away to an enemy that can regenerate and can control when it detonates or keep slicing him to avoid his regeneration from happeing and escaping.

I heard that a lot of people are on zeke’s side just because they saw his backstory.
Sacrificing his parents because they were abusive is I guess reasonable because he wanted to save himself and his grandparents but he killed so many other people and his plan is so fucked up. Willing to kill any eldian just because of the horrible stuff their ancestors did. Just because the subjects of Ymir are the only people who can turn into titans doesn’t mean they’re not people and that they don’t have people they love and love them
My point is that I still hate zeke, not because of what he did to Levi but because of his fucked up ideology and his inhuman past actions

We know how bad is Griesha is bad at parenting since s3 flashback, he become the very things he hate about his father for Zeke. Then at Paradise island he completely change, he didn't force any ideology into Eren head, everything that Eren did was his choice. Eren is free, he not slave to anyone other than himself.
Nope, Grisha was better than his father. Grisha was following orders of the Owl to make Zeke a warrior. His cause was way bigger than having a family.
God...what an awesome episode! As an anime only, it just shows and gives you a better understanding on Zeke’s character. I’m starting to like Zeke now. So about my predictions about the Part 2 announcement. I’m just PRAYING to god that Part 2 doesn’t come out this year at Fall. After looking at what just happen with the terrible scheduling, I just hope Kodansha gives Mappa more time to animate. Spring 2022 or maybe early Fall of 2022 are my predictions for Part 2. So, question. Last time you told me that Mappa can request anything. Do the production committees look back at the previous production schedule and think about whether or not it was too little time? Or are they just all for the money? I’m sure they’re all money but...cmon, the production was so bad that they gotta have mercy for the staff to give more time...right? Anyways, great vid! I don't know if this is just me, not remembering anything about all this happening in the story, but was this all shown in the manga? I don't remember the tower scene where the episode starts, the detailful childhood life of Zeke, Magath being young and mean to Zeke, Grisha being basically the WORST father ever and the way how actually Ksaver wanted Zeke to report his parents and him telling Zeke about his child and wife... Also not remember Zeke and Eren talking in Liberio, maybe it was just me but I felt that the majority of this episode was more added stuff to give a better understanding of the story. This episode felt NEW for me and that's an amazing achievement, because I read the manga. If it's in the manga, than the answer is: after chapter 120 my memories were erased by Eren or something....
