    I am thankful that you showed how to make the earring hooks with the bail making pliers. I’m a novice jewelry-maker, and I look up to you.

      You will need to harden the ear wires with a little hammering in order to get them to hold their shape.

    Hi Susan! Trying to make a decision now about the different wires to buy from JTV. I’m looking at both memory wire and regular medium temper wire to make hoop earrings. But I was wanting to know in your years of experience, which type of wire is most long lasting in terms of not tarnishing? I want to get the longest lasting type of wire, in terms of this (non-tarnishing). Thanks!!

    Love it, but can you show how you add the beads to the hoops?
    You surely can't do it after you bend the hoops on the mandrel.

  • @rolo7110
    @rolo7110 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Great! I’ve attached beads with very large holes to my hoops because they are able to get over the bend. How do you attach beads with smaller holes without losing the shape? Thanks!

    • @JewelSchool
      @JewelSchool  ปีที่แล้ว

      You can try adding them to your wire before you bend it. Hope this helps!

    Do you have a tutorial on soldering for jewelry? I am a Newby, and know nothing about soldering, but want to learn. Very much a beginner!

    I love these. I have a question. I was gifted wire but I don't know what gauge they are. Is there a way to figure it out?

    • @JewelSchool
      @JewelSchool  ปีที่แล้ว

      You can purchase a wire gauge tool called "American Wire Gauge for All Sizes of Wire." They are relatively inexpensive and a great tool for when you don't have your wire labeled and need to know what gauge it is. Just google it and you will find one. hope this helps!

    I love your videos, I have learned sooooo much from you. But it is so wrong to waste the amount of 'stuff' you waste. I live on almost nothing, it is so hard for me to manage getting any supplies. Waste not. Want not. Can you send me all your wasted material?? Kidding, but not really.
