@Cthuski I always thought the branches were a bit vague/hard to make out so I always assumed it was the 2nd set of stones that surrounds the stone arch in the fireplace, which there is also 13 of.
Blasphemous Act also had great standard synergy with Boros Reckoner. You could pressure your opponent with an aggro start, including the Reckoner, then cast Blasphemous Act to reset the board and deal 13 damage to your opponent. Casting Blasphemous Act with two Boros Reckoners in play usually meant game over.
Death’s shadow needs a lot more synergy to go right for it to work, so it wasn’t good in its standard. Standard is a place where many generically good cards rack up a lot of points before moving into the other formats.
I actually didn't realise it was Friday the 13th until I saw this video upload. Time is merely an obstacle towards my great goal of enlightenment and my even greater goal of "Top 10 Vintage Cards (Minus Power 9)"!

Specifically, the Knights Templar had become rather powerful bankers during the times Following their Crusading efforts. And that's where the King of France, comes in. See, he had gotten himself in Serious Debt to the Knights Templar. So much so, that he eventually decided it was cheaper, & less troublesome, to eradicate the Order. I think that he managed to convince some of the Catholic Church Upper Clergymen, that they would be better off without the Order. I'm unsure if the Pope got involved, but at least some cases of Heresy & Witchcraft/Demon Worship were brought up by the King against the Knights. And for whatever reason (their own debts, jealousy of popularity, paid for suspicions, and/or genuine concerns) the Clergy went along with the plan to seize everything from the Knights. The Plan was carried out on a Friday the 13th. And the vast majority of the Knights Templar were killed, and/or scheduled for execution. With all the Property seized and divided by the colluding parties.

Do you have any insight into what spawned this historically? I know that this is a little bit of an off kilter question, but it is apropos of this video and date.
I can tell you myself as pagan. Just like nearly every other holiday it is a pagan tradition and Wiccans Believe Friday, the 13th to be an amazingly lucky day, a day of luck and love. However, it is painted in a bad light by the Christian community. Because they hate any religion that is not Christian. So over the years, it was eventually told that Friday the 13th is a day of bad luck. Because Wickens are able to find love.
It may have roots in the Christian belief that there were thirteen at the last supper and that Jesus was crucified the next day which was a Friday. Though some research claims that Friday the 13th didn't become considered particularly unlucky until around the nineteenth century. An interesting tidbit is that Tuesday the 13th is considered unlucky in Spanish speaking countries. Sorry for the wall of text but I hope you found it interesting!
