- In this episode, I am leaving the town Zambezi in Zambia and start heading towards the capital of Zambia, Lusaka. That is too far to reach in one day so I try to get to Kaoma. There are two options: the shortcut, and the long way around. I opt for the shortcut - but was that a good idea?

Hi Noraly, I have been depressed, unemployed, struggling Assyrian woman. I just binged the whole series from the start and am in tears - Your travels, unwavering strength & radiant positivity are so very inspiring. Thank you for giving me hope that one day I can smile as bright as you do ❤ much love from Detroit Michigan
Edit: Ohhh wow I guess Noraly took away her like but did not expect anyone to care about what some random girl being vulnerable on the internet is going through. I am deeply moved and you’ve filled me with so much hope, made me feel loved. You are all so inspiring & all I can say is thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you for being a wonderful community, thank you for sharing your struggles, offering gentle kindness, & showing me love. God Bless you beautiful people! You are amazing and I love you ❤
You will! From the Netherlands 😂❤
Oh it's sad to hear your situation but I'm sure the things going to get better for you, it's just a phase.
I wish you happiness and strength and immense joy. Feel better. Love, from Nigeria. ❤
It is lovely here west of Detroit, a light dusting of snow and a bit of wind. However I think I'll leave the motorcycle in the garage today.
Never give up never ❤❤❤
Lions! Dropping the bike 10 times all alone and still smiling. If anyone earned a shower and a big dinner it is Noraly! Wow nerves of steel!
Nerves of steel and the b*lls to go with it ... 🤣🤣🤣
How many times have you caught yourself watching, trying to help her lift that bike? Lots of us do it, but probably not many of us notice we are doing it.
My favourite thing on the bad roads is picking my line for driving, and see if she takes the same one.
@@YahWay. Yes, I do it🤭
She was doing well riding the crown of the road, but then chose to lower tire pressure to find her groove.👍

Welcome to Zambia. Land of peace
Well said David
Yes, I want to visit. So beautiful!
It’s beautiful
Yup, Zambia is a beautiful & peaceful country. Best wishes from Miri Sarawak Malaysia.
Yeah and keep it that way!
International Woman’s Day just passed & you are an amazing inspiration to young girls everywhere to aspire, dream big & be resourceful. I am 75, raised in a cold climate where we had to wear dresses to school. Changes in my lifetime have been miraculous. Keep going!
What makes Noraly’s videos so special is that her storytelling makes us all feel included in her journey. And we are privileged to witness her AMAZING journey! Thank you, Noraly ❤️
Last few episodes I'm actually sitting here trying to steer the bike to help ! (I did a lousy job today.)
So true, its became a part of routine to Wait for her episodes, Truly an amazing person with a lot of courage.
She's just amazing, Noraly!...I keep watching each episode over and over. Wish she could increase her weekly posting from two (Wednesday and Friday) to say three ( Monday, Wednesday and Friday)...

Love the way you say Zambia 🙂
Who all heard Volkswagon and then got to know its Ox wagon?😅, A salute from India to Noraly, may you achieve more success.

I watch with CC (closed captions) selected, so I missed that one. But closed captions can provide a good laugh as well at times.
I thought I heard Volkswagen too, but then I realized she said ox wagon. 🙂
Yes me too 😂😂😂😂
That guys expression at the river crossing was priceless! 🤣
I love love love Zambian people, Zambia is probably the friendliest country in Africa (2nd to Ghana maybe) , been twice & im already planning my next trip! 🥰🥰
Soft sand is so awful on a bike. Your determination was fantastic. But like on a boat on the ocean when the sea kicks up, there's no going back, no stopping, your only option is to simply carry on. I am from Africa, I have driven similar roads. But alone, on a motorcycle? You are truly one of a kind, a genuine hero.
Yes 👏 👏 Bravo!!
“Lion ambush” isn’t what you want to hear when you are alone. That was a very difficult road to navigate but at least Alaska still has 2 mirrors. 😂❤️❤️
I was thinking the same. She's a very brave woman. I have been in Africa myself, but not in those remote places. I'd be scared to death.
She is safe because there are game scouts all over the game parks. She will enjoy to see the big five.
I don't think a lion would come close to a thing as loud as a motorbike.
@@arnoldhau1 Yes, maybe, I have allways wondered how people on those safaris can sit in an open Jeep and come close to these animals. It's mindblowing.
...and still most of the windshield and most important of all...a start button! 😂

I'm an old man who can no longer enjoy the adventures of life, so enjoy watching your challenges, your enthusiasm, and your courage. I have seen all of your exploits and admire the positivity, endurance and tenacity, but be careful as Africa can hurt you in so many ways.
Second that.. 😅😅😊😊
Me too. Muscle mass is about gone. Hard to pick up even a 120 kg bike.
In how many ways can Africa hurt her which Europe or Asia or the Americas can't.? Imagine my black ass traveling around the back woods in all these places, would I come out alive? Would I have come this far?
I dont agree with you. There are friendly places in Armenia & there are soo many friendly people & bushes in Africa too..dont you think the word hurt is too harsh, unless if I am not understanding 'this' hurt? Whatever the case is, Noraly's positivity is infectious beyond race or creed!!
Maybe he was referring to the difficulties, infrastructure, and weather conditions.
I lived in Africa for 17 years and I miss it now. There are amazing people there.
Dear Noraly,
Having watched your video, I've come to recognize the profound depth and kindness within the Souls of Africans.

Goeie dag Noraly, I just watched and enjoyed your ( S7-E89) trip in Zambia and lowering your tyre pressure on a sandy track is a very good technique as this lengthens your tyre footprint giving a larger surface area on top of the sand so you will not sink in as much. Your chance of getting a puncture will also be reduced. Think of it this way, a fully blown up balloon can be easily punctured with a pin, a half blown up balloon is much harder to puncture with a pin because the rubber of the balloon is much more flexible. The same with a tyre, at lower tyre pressures the rubber is more flexible and the Tread can conform to the shape of the object you are driving over reducing the chance of a puncture. Another episode is here again, all fans of Noraly and Alaska let's gather here, let's watch with 🍿😊😊. Nothing is as classic as Noraly videos.
Right, just ordinary Sunday 😊
All are safely gathered . . .
I thought you said "Volkswagen" when you saw the Ox pulled cart but then I realized you said "Ox Wagon". I was laughing out loud because I thought you made a joke about VW.
I though the exact same thing
Noraly, you are double tough. I dump the ol’ DR 650 in deep sand a half dozen times, and I start to lose interest. Because picking up a fully laden bike is exhausting, and riding in deep sand is exhausting, and doing it over and over again is _really_ exhausting! Your fortitude, persistence and positive attitude set a fine example for us all. I hope Alaska is OK! 😃
Your an experienced rider, you probably already thought about it. Instinct after a fall is to get back onto the saddle and go again. I find it helpful to wait a moment to get over the exertion of lifting the bike, and relax a few minutes to cool down before getting back on, allows the body to rest, and cool down, a mental and physical reset. Too often people rush to remount the bike and go, and the fatigue tends to multiply, rider over heats and crashes become more often, than if they had rested and cooled down to restart fresh.
In "Zambia Shall Be Free" by Kenneth Kaunda, he recounted an incident of being waylaid by a lion, in one of his travels throughout the country to rousing the political consciousness of the people, in the 1950s/60s. Instead of surrendering effortlessly, he wrote that he scared off the menacing lion by lifting his bicycle shoulder high (as if to attack the lion with it). I read this book over 40 years ago but I recalled this incident by your imagining that the narrow-muddy-grassy path you plied looked like a lions' ambush magnet.
I admire your bravery in plying these lonesome bushy pathways, keep up the great adventure. Zambia so far reminds me of my Eastern Nigeria homeland, I can't wait to see the rest of your exploration of this country of West Africans-seeming people.
Sunday mornings are my favourite! Another episode of Africa tour!
Soft sand is tough going but you made it through. Such a stunning but remote region. I am glad you made it to the lodge. Alaska is still the best choice for this journey. A motorcycle road racer told me that if you don't fall off you are not trying hard enough! Thank you for taking us on your incredible journey. Safe travels.
Glad you made it to Kaoma - ten falls in one day must be a new record for you. Glad Alaska held up alright and that she didn't have any major breakdowns. Hope you get a good meal and a shower at your accommodations. Once again you are lucky - hard to say if the shortcut was a good idea but at least you made it through all your falls. Stay safe, stay well, get some rest, and be careful. Enjoy the journey and keep up your great attitude. You have to be sore after all of those falls but at least you had no injuries.
By looking at the map and coordinates i think you reached a point that you crossed all latitudes in African continent. Which means that you achieved riding all of Africa by road. From North to south in two different seaons. What a milestone ! Congratulations 👏 🎉
