- The rains in Africa continue to chase me around and on top of that, I accidentally left my rain jacket behind at the place that I stayed. The risk of falling down and breaking something in the process, while going back down that slippery trail had me decide not to go back for it. The ride continues!

This old retired deputy sheriff would chase an armed suspect down a dark alley at two in the morning but, riding across Africa by myself is just way too much for me. I guess bravery comes in different forms. I am impressed young lady. Thank you so much for the wonderful entertainment and please be safe.
Thank you both for your service🫡 but Africa is not as scary as they told ya.
Scary no , but still not easy to travel through those conditions

I live in the northern region of Malawi, in Mzuzu. We watch your videos all the time with my wife. we're just glad to have had you here in Malawi.❤

I live in the USA, and one of my nephews, who is an architect, was sent to Malawi several years ago because his firm had a contract with the government of Malawi. He said the same things as you did about how nice, humble and friendly the Malawi people were. They were very poor materially, but very rich in good character. Thanks for sharing your EXCITING adventures with us! God certainly has gifted you with nerves of steel! 👍😊🙏
You are very true.
"Very rich in good character" Well that's one thing they'll never say about the USA.
I find it hilarious and ironic Noraly can travel through Mexican Cartel territory and yet be frightened by a millipede.
LOL...though a fright of a different type. But yea anytime I think of the dangerous places/situations we have seen Noraly in, the cartel territory always pops into my head first for being worst. I don't know if it is, just say'in. Peace!
I am glad you had your drone. Otherwise, we would have missed the true beauty of these magnificent waterfalls. Thank you
Yes I agree, what a difference, when you can get out away from the water.
Yes! The drone does provide a unique view and allows us to see the beautiful landscape.

That little creature is a millipede it is called a shongolola in South Africa. They are harmless and come into our homes all the time. They curl up to protect themselves. Malawi is a beautiful country. Thanks for sharing your adventures.
I like the name shongolola! Millipede means "thousand foot" does shongolola mean something similar?
@@riendetout8812 Thank you for your reply. Shongololo comes from the Zulu and Xhosa language meaning to roll up or curl up. We have 11 official languages in South Africa and most South Africans of all languages - use the name. It’s a cute name😂

Me too. I like before watching.
Before watching you travel to Africa, I had a different perception of Africa; watching you change that perception for the better. I now have a great deal of respect for Africans. Thank you!!
Being from the USA, I agree 100%. We are not shown or taught the truth. Every country has a bad element and that's what gets all the big media attention. People being nice apparently doesn't get the ratings compared to violence. I am so thankful for Itchy Boots showing us truth. Peace!
@@jasonzerbini2375 Being from Canada, it would be easy for me to feel that way about the USA if I only watched what is covered in the news.
Being from the US I thought the same thing until I went to Africa, now I’ve been back twice and would go back again if the opportunity presented itself.
And you all from the USA, Canada, and elsewhere, commenting are very sorely, politically-correct, missing the point.
What is the point?
The point is that Noraly's very hardcore, unforgiving African adventure showcasing the intensive and extensive infrastructural decay and the entrenched lack of development brings out the hospitable nature of its people, always willing to lending a helping hand, especially to foreigners. Noraly enjoyed that privilege.
Equally, every retrogression, poverty, wars, disease, etc that is shown in the news about Africa is correct, and just as valid as the Noraly positive outlook in life depicting suffering and smiling, and hope for the future.
So, in a nutshell, there is no contradiction between the news media reporting and the Noraly scenic journey and experiment about Africa.
Noraly concluded this video by showing where she is lodging with a "broken faucet, no running water" in a region obviously blessed with abundant "heavy rainfalls," as she said, plenty of rivers and lakes? How is that a positive thing about "Africa?"
How many Americans or Canadians would have tolerated that type of service, broken faucets, no running water, in their own respective countries, in any hotel or motel? But that is typical (West) Africa for you - where running water is gold.
@@emmanuelochieke1645 all that are adventurers that are lucky enough to be able to live and see these places . American and Canadians don’t all need king size beds
You are so incredibly brave. NO WAY I could sleep in a tent like that, knowing all of the horrible creatures that can crawl in -- centipedes, spiders .... NO FREAKING WAY!!! LOVE YOU for your courage!!!
I don’t know that I have ever watched any series for so many episodes in a row. And I keep coming back for more!
I started watching Noraly when she began Season 6. By episode 35 I bought another bike, that was back in July, 2022. When I reflect on her amazing video series I have already watched over 50 HOURS just in Season 7. I don't recall how many episodes were in Season 6 but I'm confident in thinking there were more than 50 hours there, so, over 100 hours of Itchy Boots and I think she is my sister, I know her that well. What Noraly has achieved few will ever get close to. And, she is so very smart. Think of it, each episode is around 23 minutes, which if picked up by a national television service, her timing is perfect for commercial tell lie vision, room for commercials and announcements. In praise of Noraly Schoenmaker, the real Wonder Woman.

You character is unlimited, you can do anything under the sun, nothing stops you, and that is greatest blessing every human should wish for.
Riding on a dirt trail with gullies cut by rain is difficult. Add loads of miscellaneous rocks and it gets harder to stay upright. Add still, rain soaked dirt that clogs the tires leaving the rocks quite slippery, and the conditions become treacherous. Your motorcycle skill level is off the charts.
One thing I love about your videos. Most of the people ,are beautiful people, helping you on your way.

It’s so cute to see Noraly intimidated by a millipede…after traveling thru some of the most precarious places in the world. Beautiful drone footage helped us see what the rain and mist wouldn’t…Loved it. Your smiling face, knowing you faced rain and mud with no rain gear is just unbelievable. Thanks for sharing another hard working day with us! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Yup, it was a funny interaction. Noraly misidentified it as a centipede, perhaps that's why she was a bit cautious ...
That millipede was totally awesome! ( after counting how many pairs of shoes my wife has, I’m sure they’re related somehow! )😁
But comparatively the millipede is very huge compared to what we're used to.

Noraly's drone shots of the waterfalls and valleys are simply breathtaking. The little edits and details Noraly adds to her videos always bring some extra to each episode... and, also the funny bits, like 'So many legs, yet so slow' poor guy 😄. Thank you for going the extra mile to bring us these moments of joy!
Drone images these days are more common but clearly Noraly is so talented artistically in cinematography and that makes her aerial scenes far superior. The way they start, the cut/transition between scenes, the music, and how they end. For example sometimes the music starts real low just before she cuts to the drone scene and its just long enough for us to think, get ready here it comes! Peace!
@@jasonzerbini2375 I completely agree. The music really adds an extra layer to the videos, doesn't it? Like you said, I think the cut/transition between scenes adds a lot of... I don't know, not sure what to call it, there's something very "Itchy Boots" about it; because almost all adventure channels have included some drone scenes these days, but somehow they are missing something... that 'wow' factor 😁

@@BB-nw6cs They take even longer to put their boots on. By the time they are done they have to take em all off again to go to sleep. The life of a millipede biker is not easy but likely a lot easier than one of Noraly's rides on a typical five star highway in Africa. By five star I mean, a serious off road moto track for highly experienced riders, not for the faint of heart.
Maybe the reason for the millipede’s slow movement is precisely its many legs/feet, coordinating them to ensure each leg/foot keeps its sequence in moving forward, slowing down, turning, stopping, etc, it’s got to be a challenge. What if one or more legs/feet miss(es) its/their sequence in calibrating the necessary movement? Oh well, maybe I am just imagining things!🤣

You are very true
Question for the others that been here for years. Sure seems to me the recent "dirt bike experience" riding the KTM has improved her ability to better use torque with a little clutch slippage on Alaska? Just seems to ride the rough section with ease now. Love seeing it. I rode woods bikes for years and really wasn't a great rider until bought 1980 Husky 250 in 1981. Was a leftover. Since all the fastest Pros rode one, knew I had no excuse. Within 6 weeks was finishing top 5 at all my races. Confidence. Confidence in the bike being able to handle anything I threw at it. It's crazy how much this game is about the mental aspect. Absolutely love seeing her get better especially considering all the weight she carries. Has to be tough.
I rode a husky in the desert races in California in the 70s best dirt bike ever at the time!
I think her participation in the "Baja" and "Dinaric" rallies are the main reason for her excellent riding, and of course riding a fully laden "Alaska" with around 30hp. is a very different story to riding a light weight KTM. with probably twice the power.
Thanks for another great video, Noraly! You inspire me in many ways, but especially with my riding and travel adventures. I'm so glad I found your channel, and I've thoroughly enjoyed this series.
I do enjoy watching you ride without luggage occasionally, which you seem to enjoy and like Madagascar we get to see how good a rider you are - it's easy to forget that most of the time that little Honda is heavily loaded with gear and much more cumbersome than a stock one (or a KTM 350!).
My greatest weekly entertainment every Wednesday and Sunday...Kenya is waiting for you with open arms and love!
Oh my that insect brings back many childhood memories - we call those centipedes 'shongalawlaws' .They curl up quickly when threatened. If you know, you know....🇿🇦❤🇿🇦
Just amazing, the scenery, the beautiful waterfalls, the lake ... and then the muddy trails and never-ceasing rain. I would maybe take a day of that, but you never seem to give up or get discouraged. Then suddenly there is a modern church in the middle of nowhere and then a tall, friendly man with some food and a cup of tea. Just endless variation and places of great beauty and interest. Thanks for not giving up and allowing us to see things that are way out of reach for the average person! Luctor et emergo!
Thank you. Been watching you through since before the Americas, and since you got Alaska back in Spain. It's time for you to rest and plan for your next adventure!
