Also how the *heck* were Sound Of Silence, Man Of Constant Sorrow, I See Fire, Drunken Sailor, Seven Nation Army, and In The Air Tonight all from 2023, and more? Like yeah obviously they all were but goddamn Voiceplay was on fire last year, including Geoff on his solo channel, and I am *really* excited for whatever is in store for us this year! (God knows Voiceplay is unpredictable with their music choices, though I love them for it)

Thanks Huldra. I just happened to have the noise cancellation “on” with my earbuds, and I could feel some of Geoff’s notes in my sternum. That’s the first time Geoff’s voice has ever overwhelmed me to tears. Geoff is a gift. Thanks for highlighting him.

I've enjoyed Geoff for a little while now, but I think I truly feel in love with him when he did "The Sound of Silence".
Oh how this video just put the biggest smile on my face. 😄
I gotta say, his rendition of Further On Up The Road really captured my heart as well. Even though I had never heard the song before, after, no, during, my first listen of that short, I was just knocked breathless. He really did something with that one.
Also, Miracle Whip is most definitely soulless and wrong. 😆

I only became aware of Geoff and VP last fall, so from my POV, everything Geoff has done was in 2023. My favorite remains 'Til Then.
Till Then is in my absolute top songs of his. I really wanted to put that one in here as well, but turns out he released it Dec 29th, 2022. So it just barely didn't make it in.
It was Geoff’s rich bass that led me down the Voiceplay rabbit hole. Then his solo channel, just made me love his voice even more, but when he sings in his upper register, Damn! Just goosebumps for days! He has a quality to his bass register that is second to none, the timbre, richness and fullness few bass singers have. Thank you for your videos! They are great!❤

You missed Geoff as Minister Frollo singing Hellfire. It was not a "solo" but God.. I just could't take my eyes of him.. 🔥💜

His bridges are amazing as well. They always fit in the songs just like they were always there. You can't tell the difference.
I was also extremely impressed when he slowed down "I Put A Spell On You" to make it a piano bar song.
I hope he does start a cooking channel. Might motivate me to start cooking again. If not, I'd love to just watch him cook.

Once again, a big thank you, Huldra! “Further on up the Road” was also my favorite piece of 2023! I would really like a full version! Yes, you're right: he put a spell on us... His voice is unbelievable. Five octaves, but he manages the transitions so seemingly easily! I'm currently working on songs from the 42five era. He has always continuously developed! Just mentioned as a comparison: Jack's Lament! Fantastic. And yes: it's probably true when they say: the love of his life is music, followed closely by Kathy, who supports him with all her might. Wonderful people. ❤
I love the don't walk on train tracks disclaimer. My brother drives commuter trains and would approve of that message. People are very soft and squishy vs a metal box going 40 mph. To think I found Geoff through his Nightmare before Christmas video only few months ago and now am fully on the Geoff/Voiceplay train. How did it take me so long to discover them? I need you years ago I wonder how many instruments Geoff can play? Geoff and Kathy are so cute together. Every time he sees her his face lights up and vice versa. That's true love man.
He plays piano, some harmonica and some guitar.
There is something in is his voice that soothe my mind and I'm always finding myself at peace and joyfull after listen to him. Thank you Huldra for all your videos. 😊

I don't know why, but every time Geoff says bonjour in Jack's lament it always makes me smile. As well as everything else he does😀

Perhaps because it reminds me of my husband’s playing, my favorite Geoff moments are when he’s at the piano and “simply” singing. It sounds effortless & easy - but his level of perfection has required years of work. For that, I’m profoundly grateful. He seems like a thoroughly wonderful young man. Thanks for giving us a glimpse.

“Sound of Silence” and “house of the rising sun” were both songs that, while I liked them, they didn’t hold a particular place in my heart. But Geoff’s covers really do lol

Funny story actually. I first got into Voiceplay in 2019 with Oogie Boogie's song (like a lot of people did), and I got into Geoff's stuff too, as he started releasing it, but I only really stuck to the covers of songs I had at least some familiarity with (shame on me but I know better now), and no, I hadn't subscribed to either channel, but I just kind of followed along with them for a few years, until about 2021 or 2022. I'm not exactly sure when or how, but they dropped off my TH-cam recommended and I stopped looking at either channel (I know because I somehow didn't get around to watching Geoff's cover of White Christmas until December last year).
Anyway, *god bless* the TH-cam algorithm for being helpful for once and recommending Geoff's cover of Jack's Lament to me in late October! And then I found Voiceplay's Hellfire cover the next day! Suffice to say that I am now subscribed to both channels, and probably more obsessed than I was before. And a lot of my favourite covers of Geoff's/Voiceplay's are ones where I've never even heard the original! (But seriously Hellfire and Jack's Lament were freaking *god-tier* videos, and I have not a single clue what Geoff/VP are gonna do for Halloween this year, but it's gonna be *great*)
