    Nice pond 👍🏼👍🏼
    Pump fed myself with a 320+ and I did mine in the lockdown too
    Can’t wait to go gravity fed
    It’s the hardware in the pond which is the main concern being pump fed

    That is a level of pond clarity I would like to get too with a pump fed system. I have 2000 gallons running on 2 x easy pods 1 x bead and a tempest. Pump fed is easy to maintain no wet suit to sort bottom drain but it does have its draw backs . Great pond

    Iv watched the last two videos and the ponds were fantastic,I used to have a pond at the back of my mobile home about a quarter or a lot smaller with basic filter system kept about twelve koi and one river carp he got quite big would feed out of my hand sadly I had to sell them when I moved.

    looking at that , What height would nexus need to be above water level of the pond for the return. I could never see anything in the destruction manual that gave a definitive answer. I have a raised pond but thought the nexus would have to sit far too high.

    • @richd-koi
      @richd-koi 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'm pump fed through a retro bottom drain n my nexus sits in the garage on blocks around 3.5 feet high (don't quote me cant remember the exact measurement) 👍🐟

      @@richd-koi My pond is 2.5 ft above ground and 2.5 below. People have mentioned I could retro fit a bottom drain but its a mixed bag of its the best thing i did to the worst thing i did LOL. Thankyou for the reply.

      @@fish4london75 if u don't have a proper bottom drain retro bottome drains are the next best thing. I never have to hoover my floor. My pond is similar to yours half raised half submerged. If u go for a retro drain make sure u have a float switch fitted to the pump 👍🐟

      @@richd-koi Thanks for the reply , been using a homebrew filter box that is very similar to a kockney koi job for 10 years. only cost me £100 in bits at the time (no koi tax yay). but i have 50kg alfa grog, jap mat and 3 filter pads plus floss. Sometimes when you have to clean the pads its time consuming and have to do it regular to keep up.

      The hobby doesn’t only create koi keepers it creates water keepers and they love to understand that as well as the Koi. Sometimes the filters can be just as much a hobby as the Koi
