Catalina 22 - A Perfect Day - Ep.12

- Come along for a near perfect day on one of North Carolina's most beautiful lakes. The surrounding mountains make for an idyllic backdrop but don't exactly promote the best breeze for sailing. We make the best of it by trolling a couple lines off the back and catching some nice fish. We hang out at one of our favorite spots for a super chill cook-up over the campfire.
What makes a perfect day? I guess that's up to you but some of the key ingredients are:
1 Loving companion (human)
1 Loving companion (dog)
1 Sailboat
1 Dinghy
2 Fishing poles
2 Hammocks
1 Campfire
Multiple adult beverages of your choosing
SV Sophia is a 1990 Catalina 22 with a fixed, wing keel also known as a shoal keel.

Mist on mountains and relaxing calm water. So beautiful. We have none of that here on the Gulf coast. But watch out! Your dog was eyeing those shrimp. 👍🏼#42

Need longer videos more of everything. I’m really interested in lake sailing and would love to see more of every aspect. I live in southern British Columbia Canada.

Love your style of video. Visuals, uncluttered by unnecessary chatter, nice music interludes, smooth transitions. Well done. BTW, I’ve sailed Lake James and several others in WNC and upstate SC. Have an older Catalina 22’ .

Been thinking of sailing for a few years power boating on lake Norman most weekends want to slow it down..lake James looks like a fantastic lake .. watching the vids I may just brake power trend the plunge.. the cat22 is a great little boat
It’s a lot of fun for sure but also a lot of work if you’re towing like me. I bought my boat on lake Norman. Blew a wheel bearing off the trailer on the way home. Just one example. It’s all worth it tho😎

Yeah, She's a sweet heart unless you're a cat or any small animal really then watch out !!! We've had the Walker Bay dinghy for a while now . . .
