India was colonized by British for around 170 years during which they looted 45 trillion, as INDIA was the richest country in the world and at the time shares 25% of global gdp alone which was 1/4th of the entire world.

@zuzanareacts by the way do you know how 🇺🇸 was inducted into the war ?
War was already broken in Europe. Germany 🇩🇪 made its way into the English channel with its submarines ( u-boat ). At the same time a US passenger ship SS Athenia was heading towards London. Winston Churchill deliberately didn't give any protection to the ship as it entered the English channel. As a result of it, the ship 🚢 was sunk by Germany 🇩🇪. When the lives of American citizens were lost in that tragedy, US got itself inducted into the war and the same was expected by Churchill ( a@#$%&* )
Around 50 children lost their life including so many neonates and infants.
Churchill said that lost life of children helped much more than a thousand soldiers.....
Atrocities of Churchill are much more.....

    Take a very simple example.
You point guns and sticks on a farmer and force him to grow cotton. You impose 66% tax on land produce and buy the remaining 33% at a fixed, very low rate on behalf of the state. Now, you ship that raw material without any custom or tariffs to Britain, get clothes manufactured in private and state run mills and then ship it back to India. You import these products with a high custom duty which will be borne by Indian consumer. You either ban and outlaw any local manufacturers or you impose exorbitantly high taxes that they shut down. Now the only option left with Indian public is to produce cotton, pay 66% tax, generate almost no profit, buy British finished cloth at high prices and also pay the added custom and tax on it. That tax money will be used to pay civil servants brought in from Scotland and Britain as well as pay extravagant incentives to British private investors to come and build railway tracks in India so that those raw materials could be transported more easily and with lower cost.
Now you extend this economic policy nation wide for a duration of over 200 years and you get the colonial rule.
You do a simple calculation of all direct and indirect wealth transferred to Britain, adjust it for inflation and you get the amount of 45 trillion Pound Sterlings.

Bengal is an Indian state. Now it's divided into Bangladesh (which is now an independent country) and West Bengal (Indian State). Britishers stole not just money aka wealth but destroyed the social structure. C'mon can you blame him. Didn't Europe destroy the world, especially Africa and Asia? Oh no Zuzana, everyone knows about the west at least the Africans and Asians.
About the money. He is saying for instance before the British invasion of India, India and China were the richest countries on this planet. And when the British left India, India become one of the poorest countries of the world. Britain especially is made from stolen wealth. You should investigate more of Indian history.
Sorry Zuzana, the Europeans destroyed the social fabric of Africans. You need study about the African continent and slave trade. Africans were used as slaves do not mention Indians as slaves by the British.

Carbon emissions is a concept where the west spreads a huge lot of propaganda taking advantage of the mathematical ignorance of their population. They always talk about totals instead of per capita. Not dividing the number by population is simply unfair. For example India's total emissions are about 2533 million tons and Slovakia's are only 36 million tons, looking at this you would think India is a huge polluter but when you divide this by population India's per capita emissions are only 1.91 while Slovakia's are 6.77. This data is for 2016 from "worldometers" or you can simply search "carbon emission per capita by country". They use this trick in various other negative stats like crime etc. to make themselves look good and lecture others. Then they use this propaganda to impose carbon related taxes and sanctions thereby denying fair competition.

Also he is talking about colonialism and Bengal famine in India which was a man made famine that was due to the militant policies of Winston Churchill.
Also you should read about postcolonialism and anti colonial struggles. Read the works of Franz Fanon as well I think you will be more educated about colonialism.
Regarding environment it was the west who polluted this earth first with their so called industrial revolution. Now since they are advanced they dont want other non industrialise countries to industrialise who couldn't initially because of the colonialism and slave owning whites. So why cant other countries industrialise and be on an equal footing with the west? Should west only be the one to industrialise itself and then lecture others on industrialisation? I think you misunderstood his stance on dealing with climate change (not blaming you as he didn't really explain it 😅but this argument comes up in almost every climate debate), so I'll try to explain it as best I can..
He is referring to how the industrialization of West was achieved by degrading the climate by excessive use of fossil fuels and due to this development the western countries can now afford to switch to more sustainable alternatives without much effort.. In contrast, much of the developing world lacks even the basic infrastructure (let alone the advanced tech needed for sustainable solutions) and any efforts for industrialization would have to include using natural resources excessively (something we already lack due to the "development" in the west) and this would result in dire consequences for the world..
The only way to resolve this issue would be the developed world financing the sustainable industrialization of the developing world.. However, this is a HIGHLY contentious idea in the west since politicians know their voters would not tolerate a significant burden to their wallets fighting climate change in "third world" countries (heck, many of their voters don't even believe in climate change 😅)..
    Hope this helps.. Peace! 🙏:)

Please read the entire comment so that you will understand what the speaker meant when he said "you are giving us our money"-
    Quick History -
Civilization in Indian Subcontinent goes back to at least 10,000 BC.
Cotton was first cultivated in the region.
Port cities, such as Lothal, were used to trade with other civilisations.
Coins were minted using standard weights.
Cities were planned using standard measuring tools (Harappa is belied to be 1st planned city/civilization in the world).
Indians used to perform plastic and cataract surgery much before anyone (800 BC - Sushruta is considered Father of Medicine).
Indian kings had proper economic, foreign, military policies in 300 BC (in the form of “Arthashashtra” and “Chanakya Niti”).
Aryabhatta invented the numeral Zero (0), Yoga is attributed to lord Shiva and many more such invention and discoveries took place in the Indian Subcontinent.
With everything that natives of Indian Subcontinent had achieved, there were and still are some white supremacists who believed that it is a “White Man’s Burden” to civilize the “uncivilized”.
When British arrived in India, Indian subcontinent was home to almost 25% of World’s population, contributed around 25% of world’s industrial output and India’s share was almost 23% of World’s GDP. When they left in 1947, Indian economy shrank to less than 3%. They were able to achieve this ‘feat” using unfair practices. They levied heavy taxes on Indian exports while discounted British Imports. Our share in Global export dropped from 27% to almost 2%. This destroyed out handloom industry and at the same time fuelled Industrial revolution in Europe. They forces farmers to grow cash crops, such as indigo, instead to food crops (because cash crops had higher profit margins and were in high demand during the Industrial revolution). This resulted in human induced famines during British Raj in India. Millions of people died. In recent time, Winston Churchill was the biggest culprit of Bengal Famine of 1943. He siphoned off the food supplies from India and stock piled for British soldiers during WW2.
So, the speaker in this video is referring to these biased and unjust British policies that resulted in the economic drain of India.

    Background on Bengal Famine 1943:
India as a whole did not have a food shortage in 1943--in fact, it exported over 70,000 tons of rice for use by British troops and British civilians.
Then U.K. Prime Minister Winston Churchill, as part of the western war effort(WW II), ordered the diversion of food from Indians to already well-supplied British soldiers and stockpiles in Britain and Europe.
He even procured food grains at a higher price(US, Canada were willing to provide food grains, but he didn't accepted).
As a result, around 3 million people died(reported data), but experts says the death toll was around 10 million.
Here I quote his words, " I hate Indians. They are a beastly people with a beastly religion." When Informed of the rising death toll, Churchill quipped that he only regretted that MK Gandhi was not among the dead"
    2) How UK looted 45 Trillion USD from India:
They mastered the art of looting, and engineered such systems by which they acquired every commodity for free, moreover they even introduced taxed on every produce. The imposed tax rate was so high, that peasants, farmers, traders were not able to pay. So as penalties they acquired the goods, land, etc.
Those who were able to pay those taxes, the britts used the money out of that tax to acquire their goods/produce.
And other things like Gold, Diamonds, Artifacts, etc they just looted and went back to UK.
I hope it answers your questions.

1:05 He is talking about Bengal which was considered as a region of India where Bengal jute(rough fiber made from the stems of a tr09opical Old World plant, used for making twine and rope or woven into sacking or matting) was very famous back then because
of its quality there were evidence of trading through sea route to East Asia and Europe, America was not even discovered yet when this trade was its peak , When they arrived in Bengal in 1612 during the reign of emperor Jahangir ( I am talking about East India Company-a British trading company, Because they were doing trade with East Asia through the Indian ocean that is how they got their name East India Company) they competed with other European competitors(French East India company etc) and started gaining more land to establish its company there after the Battle of Plassey 1757-58, so he is talking about trade between Dundee(India) and Glasgow port
    (Uk).
1:51 When they started doing trade with us this is following what they did-1) Started acquiring more lands to do their business by pleasing kings of that region.

2)Building railroads so that they can transfer raw materials they need.
    3) Started destroying hand weavers and handloom workers so that they can (British) sell their products.(Sorry that's all I know).
2:09 Not with violence(Because we knew that if we would use violence against them they could have done terrible with us) but with non-violence(If you know Gandhi) yes we did threw them out.
3:50 He is trying to say that We as Indians have still lots of work to do to boost our economy so that not only we outnumber China on
population but as a economic power as well and for all of this our industrialization should be fast too and industries emit carbon too
yet we are far behind when it comes to carbon emissions( According to Statista research India holds 4th rank) and now they are saying
you should cut your carbon emission.
4:39 I got your point but It's not like we are not doing anything we proposed this Idea which give them an alternative of co2 emissions
which "One sun one grid one world"(The One Sun One World One Grid (OSOWOG) is a transnational electricity grid supplying power all over the world)
6:27 Yes ignorance is the correct word.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. The IMF's lending pool is financed by member countries. Each member is assigned a quota, based broadly on its relative position in the world economy. Countries can then borrow from this pool when they fall into financial difficulty. Therefore, IMF basically lends the money back to the owner of the money although not dollar for dollar.
And its not a surprise that IMF leaders are not elected but nominated by US and EU. The voting power is skewed in favour of G7 which implement the loan conditions. Finally the founding members of the IMF were all colonialists and the charter documents till date do not include any inputs from any of the colonies.

Your childhood may have been privileged compared to the experiences of over 2 billion kids worldwide, which makes it challenging to fully comprehend their realities.
The West has historically exploited and plundered resources from Africa and Asia, accumulating wealth in the process. Now, having become prosperous through centuries of polluting the Earth, they seek to hold everyone equally accountable for environmental degradation.
However, many poor or developing countries, most of which gained independence after World War II, have been stripped of their resources and left with limited funds and resources to pursue sustainable paths. Their immediate priorities revolve around providing food, shelter, clothing, and meeting basic needs for their citizens.
It is important to acknowledge that there is a significant disparity in carbon emissions per capita between poor countries and the West, where emissions remain alarmingly high.
Despite these challenges, we recognize our responsibilities and strive to do everything within our limited resources and funds to protect and preserve our shared environment, our mother Earth.

Mam the simple fact about India is, it is a civilization country which have at least 5-7 thousand years of written history. India contribute 25-30% world GDP when Westerners came and when they left India only contribute 2-3% of GDP. They ruins the entire country just for an example education system, health system and many of current days problems are directly linked with westerns for instance boarder dispute with China, they divide India into 2 half, they created socio-religious tensions and yet they try to lecture us every now and then. But one thing general western public don't know is that India is not what you media shows if you wanna really know the ground reality you should watch other sources as well which is obviously not western ( or should i say influenced by left idiology). India has come long way and long way to go, we are slowly reclaiming our position in the world like China did. We know present day westerns are not responsible for what happened in the past but when these same Westerners take pride and say we did gave you this we gave you that, it's pissed us off.

The colonial mentality that he is referring to is that politicians and also generally people from American, British and European's blame the global South for many of the environmental problems. If India wasn't looted 45 trillions of dollars by the british, where would India be today? They did the same with African people. When westerners talk wreaks of arrogance and colonial mentality because they had the same attitude then and still maintain it today. India was a great civilization and it didn't any Europeans to invade, loot and convert people into their stooges. No offense to you. You are just trying to understand. History has been told by the invaders as far as India is concerned but not by the people of the land. This is slowly changing. Wish you success in your channel.

Context- He is talking at COP convention where the EU has proposed a carbon credit system for heavy industries world wide, which is heavily rigged in favour of the west.
Essentially poor countries have to pay carbon taxes in order to be able to access the EU markets for their finished products.
This carbon tax is based on the amount of total carbon emissions of a country and not on the basis of per capita carbon emission.
Most African nations and India have a high population but very low per capita emission.
Plus they are not sharing critical technologies, which may help the LDC's of the world reduce their carbon footprint.
That's not for the Climate change, it's for them to suck the blood of non western countries till there's none left, while they are responsible for the most of it 😂😂...

Isn't this amazing when your mind cannot comprehend 45 trillion pound, how someone could steal that much of money ( and by money he meant the amount of resources that has been took from here and the tax that was paid and the money was not spent on anything besides what was needed for britishers, so please don't say things like they built railways and we know why they built it & how much times more it cost to use 😂)
And about debt, there is international institutions like IMF, World Bank, etc. in which every member invest their money and they took loan when they need it, its basically I'm investing for our worse days, so what he meant is, inspite of lecturing help would go a long way.

Just some lines I found in comments sometime back about history (not mine):-
Studying history will sometime disturb you.
Studying history will sometime upset you.
Studying history will sometime make you furious.
If studying history always makes you feel proud and happy, Then you probably aren't studying history
If your ( specially west US, UK, and others) history makes you feel that you achived something in past, you did greater goods ( by looking at some western people's videos, It's clear that they are proud and happy with their history) then my friend you should know you are learning WRONG history.
BTW you are trying to learn zuzana, keep it up!!

2:04 yes, we threw them out and not at all gandhian way (which is farce created but british empire) but by rebels from sides of india. Total britishers in india was less than hundred thousand and indians were 300 million. 99% of the army, navy, police force were indians, now image they'll started rebelling.
Please go find out what mr. Clement attlee (former prime minister of uk) has to say about whether their are chased out or just a matter of "good conscience".
