i dont know if you read these, but ive been using one of those cheaper dehydrators for 5 or so years and ive learned that you gotta cook it for around 8 hours but the big thing i realized is the top panels were not dehydrating as well as the bottom so i started taking the top and bottom and swtching them at 4 hours and it works really well.

For our jerky we do number 3 on the slicer, on 165 degrees for about 7 hours. I would recommend trying a ground jerky as well. We grind it once on fine, put it in the jerky gun, and shoot out our snack sticks. Then dehydrate them on 165 for 6 hrs
I recently bought the dux thermal and it kept me warm and I shot the limit of wood ducks

You can get sheets to lay down on the wire racks for the big dehydrator so that things don’t stick
A little bit of advice when mixing the seasoning and cure put the meat in a bowl and put the cure and seasoning on it and mix it with your hands so the mixture gets onto every peace. It might not seem like a big deal but I’ve tried it and the results were better then my first batch which I just sprinkled it on.

Dale's Liquid seasoning. Soak whatever in that overnight and it will be exactly like all the popular jerky. I add red pepper flakes before I smoke it or dehydrate it.

I feel like flair doesn’t like dale anymore
You can dehydrate stuff (vegetables at least) in a normal oven if you set it at like 150-175 and leave the stuff in there for 6-8 hours. It works nicely for dehydrating food for backpacking.
