shields are much stronger than totems in every stage except crystal, but you keep a totem in hotbar
Factual. If you play cpvp then you could totally hotkey to the totem
yea but if you use a shield on someone in pot they are going to parade for you to be publicly executed

I can see that you’ve put a lot of work into this video, and it is very informative and all, although I do disagree with certain parts of your ranking. The way that I would sort it is like this:
Early game: same as yours
Early-mid game: same as yours
Mid game: same as yours, but without healing pots. Also totems aren’t really that important still, unless someone else has crystals already. Shields can be held up and then lowered for a split second so you can hit your opponent with your sword to save armour durability and health. Some people will have netherite at this stage, and some people will have diamond.
Mid-end game: the early-mid game of the end-game. Non-meta items in vanilla pvp are used, as crystals are still hard to get a large amount of. These items include harming arrows, cobwebs, tnt carts, debuff potions, and more. Crystals are still used too, just less frequently. Totems and pearls are very important now, as without them you can die easily.
End game: Normal vanilla pvp. Only the strongest items are used. Access to crystals, totems, gaps, and even anchors are almost unlimited. So the same as what you said again.

I feel like the ice block could actually be utilized in PvP. Maybe for 1.9+ fights in smps. If your enemy has a pickaxe, you could surround them, (or atleast try) with ice blocks. Then they would have to break the ice, which turns it into water, and they are slowed down, this could be a good way to escape and regen while they are in the water, but they could actually use this to their advantage.
For example, if you have fire aspect, they can use the water in-order to stop burning, which would be very inconvenient since fire aspect has a large part of dealing damage because of the fire. You could also get stuck in the water yourself, and they could escape and hit you. Sorry for writing an essay, I just had an idea. Nice video btw

pretty hard to surround a constantly moving player with any block, and this is further proved by the fact that nobody tries to do stuff like that in crystal, where you have obsidian
actually a similar tactic was used in vanilla pvp a while ago, except it used the trident. basically you place ice, break it turning it into water, trident at the enemy, hitcrystal them. and since ice is stackable you get at least 64 chances to hit them, unless you bring more stacks

I disagree with the shield becoming obsolete in the late mid to mid game cause you can break combos with it and if your low you can switch to your totem if you need it also you can block explosions now with a shield

Any tips to learn hit crystal is that I'm having a hard time, do you know a life hack besides using keys?
Pro tip: Holding right click while switching from obsidian to end crystal helps in some scenarios.

I feel like you are trying to force these stages to be the most known pvp gamemodes. I don't see why couldn't one get a crossbow, a lava bucket and some combwebs before getting diamond armour? And also I would argue that a shield is worse in the offhand than a totem. Having the shield in your offhand makes so when you use it, the charge of your weapon does not reset to 0 (like it would if you had to change to another slot to use your shield). On the other hand having a totem in your offhand does not give you an advantage over having it in your main hand before getting to 0 hp. Of course, if someone can't hotkey fast enough, its good to have it in their offhand but otherwise I think not.

Most Effective Form of LATE Pvp ****
Its hacking and admin abuse
IMO nethpot(midendgame) is the most effective form of pvp cuz in lots of servers cpvp (endgame) is bannable. And even in servers that allows cpvp there’s still a massive warzone at spawn for u to play nethpot. I would choose nethpot cuz it’s a lot easier.
But im general cpvp is the most effective, sure when crystals, anchors and tnt minecarts are banned them smp is the most effective but in general cpvp is the best pvp in the game and if your opponent has them and you don’t its game over you lose.
