Je vous découvre 😮 tout juste incroyable cette faculté que cette musique médiévale a de transporter. L'interprétation y fait beaucoup, bravo et merci pour ces petits concerts 🎉
@@saltabrazofficial Let's comment thus, thus improves recommendations. It also popped up on my recommendations thanks to "a la entrada del bon temps" which I have in a few playlists by several artists. Great renditions. I also love the sound, excellent production. Hope to see you one of these days in Utrecht, Festival Oude Muziek Greetings from Noord Holland :)
There's a lot of this sort of music in the game Kingdom Come Deliverance and even the Witcher 3 has similar tracks in the background. Especially in taverns.
These instruments are marvelous!! THANK YOU. In Vancouver, Canada 🇨🇦 we have a group called "Winter Harp" founded by Lori Pappajohn (Celtic Harpist) who tours on our West Coast at Christmas. They play ancient and old instrument; BASS PSALTERY, Organistrum, Nycelharpa, etc. Some are reproduced but the BASS Psaltery is one of a kind by master luthier, Edward Turner, also of Vancouver BC, Canada. You can see and hear these nstruments being played by goggling "WINTER HARP: on You Tube.
I tend to get pretty cynical and bitter about the world these days. It's nice to have reminders such as this that it's full of people who spend years studying and learning to play just so they can make ancient music. Or just the ones who spend countless hours practicing and working just so they can be a relatively faceless cog in a orchestra playing beautiful classical music. What would we be without people like this? I really appreciate it.

Merci beaucoup !
Interesting that i seem to detect a direct ancestry to later Scottish and Irish music, English county dance, and obviously French Canadian which is derived from those. Maybe dance music is always dance music but that sort of back and forth swinging melody definitely sounds like something i would expect to hear a fiddler playing while people dance around a floor.

Great drum playing. Have any of you ever played Irish Traditional Music?

Thank you ! Saltabraz has never played Irish Music, it's a medieval band, but the musicians have played celtic or irish music in other projects !

What language is this in the title? Old French, or some dialect?
It's an old french form called (in french) "langue d'oïl"
Ye Fellowes: I bestow thee mine fiddle. Lo, thou best restrain thyself from ill melody.
Mine arse:
thou art a rapscallion, verily

This piece of art is incredible and made my day ! I was hoping to find it on deezer or spotify, do you think it is possible to add it ?
We are actually working on it and we should be soon on spotify and so on !
What time period is this from in the medieval era? 13th century or 14th?
This song is from the "Trouvère" period, so it's the 13th century.
@@saltabrazofficial Excellent, thank you
What type of drum is that? Name of it please? Love the deep bass!
It's a "Davul" (I don't know if there's an english name for it). This type of percussions were called "Bedon" in the middle age.
This is the first time I saw or heard a flute in this shape. Is it made from bone?
Yes, it's a deer tibia !
POV: Running from trio in dark and darker
Catholic Bosch clearly showed where musicians will end up after death XDXDXD
