I was able to do some test runs on my TLR22 SCT yesterday with the installed Pro-Line Secure-Loc body mounts. Nothing broke, the caps stayed very secure with just a small drop of blue loctite (Which was overkill, because they were hard to remove initially) and I didn't lose a cap! All in all, a great additon to my race truck!
How does this solve the body clip problem? If you lose one of these you're pretty much up the creek until you order these special caps from proline. With a body clip most people have a spare or two that they would give you, or you could make your own. Other than that it's pretty cool and good review
Forzalogistics45 It may not solve the "lost clip" issue (if you happen to lose one). but you're less likely to lose one of these. With a very small amount of Loctite, they stay on with no problems
Yeah you can just use M3 or M4 lock nuts. Better to buy a hand full of thumb nuts for PCs. They come in all colors and look fancy. They'd work perfectly. Infact im going to get some myself.
The proline problem is much worse than lost clips. Think fire and hard to reach battery. Plus 4x nuts to take off before getting the battery out. Luckily my rc body is chopped so lifts at the sides and easy grab lipo. Im nervous one day my rc will burn lol. I seen too many others fire videos.
ok, nice clean product. but what happends when you loose a nut in the grass? a bodyclip can be replaced with just about anything like a piece of wire, a hairpin and so on when an emergency occours. just a thought.
That's whay I picked up an extra set of Secure-Loc caps. I'm also going to use my loctite idea as well. The easy thing is I'm using this on a race truck that'll be on an indoor clay track.

The RCNetwork That's the problem, extra Secure-Loc Caps are 4 for $7, or get 120 body clips for the same price and there's a million ways to tether clips to the body so you don't lose them... not rocket science hehehe.
It's all good! I wanted to try these out and they work great for my application. I think they're an upgrade. I'm sure that people will be using body clips for eons! Lol
nothing better than the good ol clips!!!! cant defeat the simple and cheap clip method if you want to make a semi permanent body mount, just use some shoulder screws with a flat washer, simple and cheap
Only trouble with them is once the nut's are lost you have to remove the system and go back to body clips, so you might aswel stay with the clips and use the body clip tethers several manufacturers produce or make your own as I do,unless they are going to sell or already do sell the nuts separately and supply a couple of spares in the packet. I run largescale gas trucks and buggies and like to get a scale look as much as is possible so anything that would replace the body clips is a bonus my Losi 5ive-T is the best with only four body clips pretty much out of sight and are tethered with my own home made tethers.
I getcha! I think for a 2wd race truck both scale looks and heft is not a factor. I wanted to try a new design, that after the initial install and the use now, has shown to be a great design. As for losing them, I picked up the Secure-Loc cap set that extra caps and hardware.
I have them for my Slash 4X4 with a Raptor Body and they work great for me. I want to try them on my Rally as I loose a body clip every time I drive it.

Got them and lost one on the first qualifier. Was able to find it afterwords. Pretty hard to take off/on during the actual race, lost a lot more time than with the pins. Make sure they are well tighten. I do like how they look. My 2¢

On the inside of my SCT body I've put two pieces of Gorilla Glue® brand duct tape over the holes, then take a sharpened pencil and push through from the inside. Now when you push the body down over the posts the tape grips the post - no need for clips!
I notice about those body mount caps in ur other video but I forgot to ask, anyways I tend to loose body clips to and for some reason cant find it anymore haha, Im realy into the big round clips but il try these ones soon and they look neat

Not officially. I have used the SCTE version which are round and they fit into the square hole of the SCT410's body mounts. I had to widen the holes of the SCTE mounts as the SCT410 uses larger screws for mounting

Another 100 years invention is today we are still using grub screw on the pinion..with the huge amount of power today the grub screw easily slip off the motor shaft even with 24 hours of threadlock..why can’t just come out with new standard to have a screw going thru the motor shaft instead, to have a good grip and torque..
Significantly weaker rotor shaft mayb. I agree its pretty basic atleast add two grub screws. C clips are the worst. Those things are lazy designers duct tape. Hb tessman buggt uses c clips on the diff outdrives ther horrid things to put on without ruining them.
I wouldnt use them for hardcore bashing as I do with my slash 4x4 I have a had some problems but I guess dropping from 20+ feet from a 7 foot jump back first dosent help ahaha :D

Glad to help!
Those are some real clean and trick looking body mounts
Thanks Johnny! Already tested then out and they work great!
Your welcome rich, I really enjoy watching all your video's
I'm so glad you did this vid considering I just got these for my truck!

Very true

Would these work for Arrma RC? Like the Vorteks, Big Rock, Typhon, and Kraton 6s?
I don't believe so
And they don't vibrate off when running the rc? If not I might have to get me a pair for my rustler. Great vid
I am going to add a small amount of loctite, just to give it some tackiness when threading on/off
I might get that and try lock tight thankyou good call and vid man
Thanks Chief!

Do they fit 1/10 scale monster trucks
Pro line has versions for the Traxxas line. Summit, Revo and Maxx trucks. Check the link in the video description.
Are the Pro-Line compatible for a river hobby spirit VRX buggy with a bulldog (truggy) shell.
Not sure....never heard of that buggy
I have just glued a small magnet on the body and problemo solved !!! No more lose body clips
Do you need the adjustable up rites for these to work on a reg two wheel drive Slash?
You shouldn't, just make sure you purchased the ones intended for a 2wd slash

Craig Blackmer Yep: www.prolineracing.com/performance-parts/pro-line-body-mount-thumbwasher-kit/
Do these raise the body at all?
If you consider the thick collar part under where the body mounts, that's possible, but I haven't had an issue
Will the post fit in the scx10 shock mounts
I think they'll be the right size, but you'll have to modify slightly to get them in as the ScX10 isn't round or square.
will this fit the Losi eight buggy 3.0?

Not sure on that one....
Zero instructions included in my Pro-Line kit. Skip ahead to 4:00 to see how the majic comes together!

with a little loctite and the the included oring, it shouldn't and hasn't
No problems for me.

too long to unscrew... I use the Proline Pro Pulls... Cheap, faster and effective

Not universal
Terrible no thought design. Just get the Arrma pins with a tether.
