The meaning is very deep. It goes back to ‘the map of soul’ consisting the self (actual person) persona/ego (the face/person others see) and shadow (the unconscious mind) i know it’s a little confusing but if you want to understand it better,i recommend the video by DKDKTV explaining thoroughly what it means. 👉🏻 th-cam.com/video/LD0J4gr9Wno/w-d-xo.html
That song basically is talking about the conflict of the persona and the shadow. persona is what you show to the world and people, shadow is a part of you that you keep hidden, the unknown part of yourself. Shadow has so many meanings, such as invasion of privacy, everywhere he goes, he is being followed by people, stalked, harassed. He keeps saying that he wants to be in the top, but now that he is in there, he understands how much he has to sacrifice his true self to be in that position. That's when the conflict between the persona, the shadow and your true self begins. There's so much more that maybe I'm forgetting to say, if anyone wants to share thoughts in the comments, you can. Great reaction guys.
Interlude: Shadow is Suga's solo Intro:Persona is RM's solo Outro:Ego is J Hope's solo. These three concepts are from Jungian (pronounced young-ian) psychology. Persona is the faces/masks/roles we show the world, at work, to our family and friends. It is the external. The Shadow is internal; the things we suppress about ourselves, greed, aggression, cowardice, sins. The things that lurk in our subconscious. The Ego is the commander-in-chief, trying to deal with all the external and internal forces. The Ego is what we know about ourselves. The better we know ourselves, the stronger our Ego, the better we can deal with our Personas and Shadows.
This song is really deep. when he said I WANNA BE A ROCKSTAR, and all that stuff, thoose were the things that he wanted to be or that he desired in the past when he wasn't famous. So this song is dedicated to his SHADOW ( its like his internal Monster that is changing him) and there are more deep things about the song and the video, maybe you guys should watch and explanation of it :)
6:47 YES. Yes, yessss. You literally got it bro 👏🏾 Suga does play two roles throughout this MV; his conscience/himself and his shadow. You can watch explanation videos in your free time, but I’m happy you got it. Normally, it takes baby ARMY a while to get the message at first

This song is just Suga (Yoongi/AgustD). It’s a tradition for BTS album intro trailers to be done by 1 member as a solo. This journey will be a lot easier if you keep watching intros & learn the members. Thanks for another entertaining reaction.
I think it’s time for you guys to react to their live performances and other videos, not just the music videos... here are my recommendations: - BTS MAMA 2017 Full performance - BTS Melon Music Awards 2019 Full performance - BTS Mic Drop SNL performance - BTS MAMA 2019 Full performance - BTS Fake Love Billboard Music Awards Performance - BTS Mini Concert live in Jimmy Kimmel - BTS Mic Drop Live in ELLEN - BTS Fake Love Live in ELLEN - BTS Airplane pt. 2 Live on ELLEN - Airplane by JHOPE - Serendipity by JIMIN Stage Mix - Euphoria by Jungkook Stage Mix - BTS ON live at The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon - BTS Carpool Karaoke - BTS Live in Grammys - BTS Dionysus & Not Today live in Seoul - BTS Crash Course to a worldwide sensation 2020 tbh, there are countless BTS videos that you have to check... This trailer follows BTS storyline based on Carl Jung’s theories of psychology of the “individual”; they explore three main sides of the human psyche- the Persona, Shadow and Ego. Persona was explored in their last album. This song is introspective as what’s perceived by Suga’s journey to the top. Suga starts the song speaking from the perspective of what he wanted when he started his career (notice he wears light colors, then it switches to 2 versions of himself-his clothes switch to darker colors that represent his shadow). Then Suga meets his shadow once he gets the fame at the top, he had to face the dark sides of Fame that’s why he says ‘don’t let me fly’ because as much as he aims for success he’s afraid of all the problems and issues that can come with success too that can affect oneself. Then he comes to an understanding with his shadow that they are “one” as he grapples with the fear that comes with this fame and success. The final flow switch at the end is from his shadow’s perspective that’s why it’s distorted and so chaotic. Yes their music is so deep! I hope you get to explore more! You can check out the theory videos too to understand their concept more.
You should have started with RM’s Persona song. The Map of the Soul album series comes into two albums which also have three songs by the rapline unit. Map of the Soul was derived from Carl Jung’s theory of Persona, Shadow and Ego. Persona by RM shows the face that BTS show the people but still trying to figure out themselves, Shadow by Suga is the part of self where we question ourselves, our struggles in which he relate to the struggles of fame, the side we dont show people and Ego by Jhope is the part where we accept ourselves and embracing it. anyway thank you for this reaction! Suga gang!!
I still vote for going back and starting at the beginning. the guys while, very different in style, were still really good 7 years ago. It's worth your time and the lyrics are solid and beats are great too. Also, Rapper JK is a small piece of heaven for some of us.
I second the idea to go back and watch some of their earlier stuff. Now that you've seen some of their new stuff, it might be nice to go back and see how far they have come. For earlier songs and videos I reccomend Dope and Just One Day.
Yes, Yes, Yes...I couldn't agree more!! Everyone wanting to learn about our boys should start with introduction videos and then watch MVs in chronological order, in my opinion.
Dont worry eventually you'll be able to tell them apart. It just takes some time. Thanks again for be open minded. Hope you react to J-Hope's ft. becky G- Chicken Noodle Soup. This song J-Hope gave all the royalties edit➡(2Mil)⬅edit to the original artist of the song to show his appreciation to the community & her bcus its one of the first songs that really inspired him to dance. She was happy & appreciated it a lot.
its just suga on this on and Alex's theory comes closer to what hes trying to say. now that bts are at the top, its difficult to deal with some aspects of it
This is Suga talking about things he wanted in the beginning and how he feels now. Dealing with his shadow. That's why sometimes he's in lighted areas with light clothes. Then sometimes he's in dark clothes (shadow). Just like Black Swan you seen shadows. And ON.. They kept referencing shadow! This album talks about your Shadow! The last album was your persona. They all have a single, the rappers always have a song, the vocalist always have a song, and all 7/BTS have songs. They are always considered BTS no matter who sings. Unless Yoongi releases a mixed cd. Then Yoongi is Agust D! Just remember Map of the Soul 7 is about the Shadow. Theyre storyline is on Carl Youngs book about your persona then shadow then self. Right now they are in shadow. They are also intertwining the Greeks God's! You need to dive more into them to understand. Everything they do has reason, their videos, cartoon, etc. Is for a reason and it's like putting a puzzle together. You would have to start from the beginning and keep everything in order to understand.
Just binged all your BTS reactions, and I really like you guys. You seem very genuine and love to see the fall of others down the BTS rabbit hole, we’ve all been there 😆
This is Suga he goes by his Alias Agust D only for His solo Mixtapes ... This song is dope with deep lyrics where he's talking about what he wanted to be in the past & how he is now & no matter how much he try to avoid the shadow he can't coz that's part of him & accepts it ....
That was just one member; Suga 😄. So it goes like this Persona- RM Shadow- Suga Ego- J Hope according to their Map Of The Soul series which was based on psychologist Carl Jung's Map of the Soul.
when the song drastically changed was the shadow making himself known. he's telling suga that we are you, we are me. that they are the same person and he's just gotta deal with it. there's no getting away from it.
Hi Alex and Allen.....I wanted to say that I really enjoy your reactions to BTS. The first reaction that you did I subscribed because I could tell you were going to continue doing more of them. I saw the one where the women were telling their age and I had to chuckle because I absolutely Love BTS and I have been following them for over 2 years now. Yep, I am a Great Grandmom and I am 73 years old. These young men are what the young people need in this day and age, showing them and teaching them about loving themselves and in turn loving everyone. They make me laugh so much when I watch some of their videos and they are so goofy and funny in the best way. I watch them everyday and will continue to do so. Thank You for your Great Reactions and I can't wait for more. Peace and Love to you guys and to everyone.
thanks for these reactions! Someone probably already explained but bts have these comeback trailers for each album, the trailers are basically a MV of only one of the members thats released prior to the album as a teaser. So if you see "Comeback Trailer" in the name its only one member :) Suga and Jhope we're the comeback trailers for the last album. Watching them might help you get to know the members better because you dont have to constantly second guess yourself on who is who lmao Also in both this video and the Daechwita, Suga plays two characters. In Daechwita hes the mad king and the person the mad king wants to kill. Here hes both the person in the spotlight and the guy in the crowd that no one is really paying attention too. Like many other comments said this one deals with Jung's views on psychology. Thanks again! I really enjoy your reactions :)
all bts mv have a background, some people think it becomes a bit tedious, but that doesn't detract from the interesting. Shadow speaks of inner conflict; in psychology the mind is described as a hallway with many doors (the beginning of the video) while also talking about a concept called "the shadow" which is the unconscious aspect of our personality. In the lyric, Suga talks about his desires but as the lyric advances his desires are intertwined with his fears, generating the internal conflict that leads him to the climax of the identity crisis where he tries to understand himself trying to see himself as we see it from the public. The problem is that he will always be the artist and will never live the situation from the viewer's point of view, which means that suga is condemned to limit himself to supporting his inner demons if he wants to continue working as an idol. this Mexican girl thanks you for reacting to the video, purple you guys! 💜
3:366:50 hey you got the idea! Here The monster aka The Shadow inside Suga can't be denied. He must accept that apart of hisself if he wants peace or else the Shadow will eventually take over. No worries,You'll get their faces eventually!
when you said this is deep.. i was like, “this is gonna be a fun journey Amicy”. i’ll wait till you dive in to “bangtan universe”. if you think this is deep, wait till you get into the other side of the world. bts world is full of theories, storyline, you’ll study psychology and a whole lot more. you’ll be a detective, fbi, theorist just by listening to their music.
If you confused see their MV , Most all of their song and their Mv have explained you can check their explanation by DKDKTV, How connected Their lyrics and their Mv even their coreografi has a deeper meaning and you can got it after you check explained by DKDKTV . Keep going And stay save BORAHAE 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Homie love yourself while your beard is still growing and continue to love yourself the same after it's fully grown.. you too Allen 💜.. you're awesome guys, keep going, keep being awesome 😁👌💜
There’s a lot of great comments explaining the song. Just to clarify, it’s only Suga in this one. DKDKTV has a great explanation video on this as well, you should check it out!
I went to both of their Chicago concerts last year and it is a religious experience. I am also in my 40’s like a previous commenter and have been to many concerts. They sing live and I know it’s hard to believe but they sing better live. The concerts are all races, ethnicities, gender, age, etc. Truly a joyful experience. No band comes close. BTS isn’t Koop they are their own Genre. The other bands can’t compete. I grew up on Rock, Blues, old school rap, Spanish music, etc and Pop is not my thing. BTS broke the boundaries.
Thanks again for the react, I like you guys! Yep it was all SUGA in this video. The light and shadows in his life, the different sides to his character and to his lifestyle. The fears and downsides that come with achieving your goals and being at the top. The whole album MOTS 7 is a story arc and this piece is at the beginning. Through the album we see a lot about fears and anxieties at the start (shadow, Black Swan), acknowledging the past and different sides of the self (e.g. inner child, filter), resilience (e.g.On, Zero O’clock), positives and supports in their lives (e.g.Friends, We are bulletproof:the eternal) and at the end hope in the future with Jhope’s EGO as the outro piece. I skimmed the surface but you get the idea. Be cool if you listened/ watched the album in order.
It was suga in the video as this was his comeback trailer and tbh u were both right in the sense he talking about the struggle of the fame and how his alter ego (shadow) is growing with him but he's finally coming to terms with his shadow. I dont think I can explain it well there is soooo many videos talking about the theories behind these MV so I really recommend you to react to the MV from a visual pov then react to a MV explained video. Great reaction and can't wait till the next drop!!
Waiting for you guys to react to the whole album. You wanted vocal line stuff. The album has so many amazing songs with solos and subunits. You may not understand most of it though. Shadow, the one you are reacting to was sampled from an early song of their own called N.O. EGO's sampled from another one, so is Persona. All the songs in the album are either about themselves, their hardships or about ARMYs. They have a deep meaning for us.
the part "no one said how lonely it is at the top" means also that they have no one to rely on but themselves, no one will support them at the top, actually Suga wrote a letter to his members saying that they dreamt abt being on top, but when they achieved it, he realized how scary and cold is that place and that it's too high above than the spot that they were dreaming abt, how they can't catch a breath and how relived he is that he got his members that the 7 of them are together in that scary and lonely place, the song is abt his different sides, one that wants to achieve more and one that doesn't want more, cz is afraid
omg your interpretations mixed together are top notch. lol it is about the negative side of being on the top, fighting your shadows (in the form of your fears, the media and everyone's scrutinization, being lonely, etc). so he tries to run away from that shadow aka the monsters inside his head. however, in the end, his shadow (which is a part of him) also speaks and tells him "bro you gotta accept we're one and sometimes we'll clash but you gotta face me." as you can see, this is from the album Map Of The Soul (MOTS). mots is inspired by carl jung's book/theory which is really called map of the soul and it has 3 main parts (talking about the human psyche) - the persona (your image), the shadow (the side you try to hide or run away from), and the ego (the balancer). 💜 now, you just did shadow by suga. persona was done by rm. ego was done by j-hope. love your reactions! istg.
Oh wow thank you for giving us the breakdown it all makes sense now and that’s what we love soo much about them, they always amaze us each time!!! We can’t wait to check the other ones out 💜
Amicy you're most welcome. i did the breakdown cos i see the genuine interest. plus, you guys are smart. so. hahaha keep going! thanks for your fun reactions! 💜
Ok, is it just me but I find it fun when someone new is trying to get to know bts , because they’re hella confused and there is so much detail to know what’s going on, especially having 7 years of music.. and bts having so much to offer. I love it lol 😂
You should react to the longer version of this song (1 verse more) too :) (Not MV, only lyrics version) Basically, other comments will perhaps tell you a deeper meaning of this clip, but the ''general story'' is to accept our 'Persona' as much our 'Shadow', so accept our 'Ego' (based to Carl Jung's ''Map of the Soul''). You will understand these terms later if you don't, don't worry x) Here, the first ''suga'', the one in white/yellow-black suits, is him, the side that he shows to the world, his Persona. The last ''suga'' (last verse, with black and red lights) is his Shadow, and at the end, he accept both : the lenses in his eyes are both Persona (blue lens) and Shadow (Brown Lens); is his Ego (basically, we can tell he is not 'Suga' anymore but 'Min Yoongi', his trueself. It's like that I understood.. Btw, is the theme of their album (Map of the Soul : 7) : accept all the side of ourselves, like our Persona, but also our ''dark side'' (Shadow). Hope it helps a little ^^ (and sorry for my english)
EXPLANATION: At the begging there’s a vinyl crack, it’s that sound you here in the old movies, it’s giving that vintage, nostalgic vibe and then when the music begins you can hear reversed instruments, it’s all reffering to them looking back at their past. (u can see O!RUL82?, the name of their second album) Suga is rapping ,,i wanna be a rap star, i wanna be a king...” in the low voice at the begging, the music is almost louder than his voice, it’s like he is unsure of himself - it’s because he’s saying the things he wanted as his young self (i wondered every day how far i’ll go) and after, when he’s saying the same lyrics louder and the music is silenced, it’s when he’s achieved all that, but he realised that fame comes with the dark side. The more he’s exposed to light, the darker his shadow becomes. He’s saying thath the shadow is always following him (you can actualy see the hooded siluette in many of BTS mvs) Then when the beat drops it’s his shadow talking to him, when you listen to the song with headphones on it sounds like the sound is ,,moving” from one headphone to another, it’s the voices in his head - it’s him talking to himself (i am you, you are me, we are one body and we are gonna clash, you can’t escape whenever you go) He’s also asking himself is he SUGA or Min Yoongi. Yoongi actualy means ,,light” in korean (also his name when he was underground rapper was Glow) and he’s telling ,,don’t let me shine” as if he is still battleing whether he is SUGA or Yoongi. The mirror represents barrier between conscious and unconscious. Since this album is part of the series :Map Of The Soul, with MOPS: Persona beeing the first album of series, the MOTS:7 is second part. They are all inspired by Jung’s theory is that we all have a face we show to the world - PERSONA and the part we don’t show but who we truly are - SHADOW. The problem is some people identify themselves as their personas which is not our true selfs, it’s only our face which is adapted to the other’s expectations. In the path of identification we need to accept our shadows, but that is hard cause we are not sure if people will love that part of us. So yoongi is breaking the glass and trying to break the barrier which holds him in finding his true self. He’s afraid the people only appreciate SUGA - the person he is in the public and that they wouldn’t like the Yoongi, his true self. You can also see that when the crowd is too busy taking photos of SUGA that they doesn’t even notice Yoongi. Only when SUGA looks at Yoongi everyone start to notice him and take pictures of him, and that’s the moment he dissapears - when even his true self is opened to the public. Also, since this album is ort if the series, and this is interlude, Suga is answering RM’s questions from intro: persona: RM: Who am I? S: I am you, you are me RM:How are you feeling right now? S: I’m scared. Flying high is terrifying RM: One told me to run, one told me to stop. S:No one told me how lonely it is up here RM: Do you wanna go? S: I found out running away is an option. RM: Do you wanna fly? S: Please don’t let me fly RM: What’s your dream? S: I gotta big dream. RM: Do you think you’re alive? S: I came to my senses and find myself here.
there's actually more to this song (another verse) on the audio/spotify version so u should check it out. this muisc video was released before their "map of the soul:7" album was a released so it was like getting a snippet of the album. that's why it's called "trailer" and when the album got released we got the full song.
Nice you guys reacted to shadow 💯. There’s actually an extended - full version of this song, there’s no music video to it, it’s just a lyric video. You guys should listen to it gives more insight to the other side that you guys mentioned as the “monster” or “shadow”. I really like seeing your guys reaction videos btw 💯💯💯🔥🔥🔥
it's actually sad rap song about the negative side of fame it's just Suga he play suga the celebrity & the min yoongi (his real name) like to remind him: no matter what or how much I fly I'm you u we can't split like a person & his shadow & remember who u r behind the lights & one day u will be back as min yoongi only
Persona (RM) shows bts's outer face which they show us mots persona explores it through boy with love(cute persona), Dionysus(power) and also their dreams. Mots7 or shadows explores their inner character hidden in them which they hide from the outer world. Suga often said that he hate fake people or people who are fake and when he first started to gain fame he felt that he is faking because he is not the same in camera as in real life. But later on he realized that we all are like that not just idols, we put on different masks in different situation and it is not fake it is us just being human a social animal. He later on in this song accepts that persona and shadow are inseparable and his shadow are in a way always questions his persona, but he accepts it is normal. Later on in this album in Black Swan (first version) through the dance choreography they shows the journey of accepting the shadow and later realises that in fact shadow is the one helping us to fly. Later on throughout their album bts portrays their own journey of different personas and shadows. At last they celebrate because they attain internal peace after accepting their shadow through the song ego ( J hope). I know there are many more facts and stories in each of the songs and MV but I think (since this whole thing is kind of my thoughts) this is the picture of the two mots album
Army was really stoked to listen to this for the first time and finding out that Yoongi is more confident in his singing! He took singing lessons also for his second tape as his aka Agust D (Agust D 2!) please listen into his tape, you will both love it!
A quick guide to help figure out which BTS member you are watching: RM: rapper, tall, dimples, low voice J-Hope: rapper, expressive face, great dancer, large variation in tone of voice Suga: rapper, shorter, raps FAST, generally more laid back fashion sense Jin: singer, tall, handsome, strong clear voice Jimin: singer, delicate features, highest pitched voice, great dancer V: singer, low pitched voice, large expressive eyes, often wears baggy clothes Junkook: singer, strong voice, great dancer, tall It's common to have a tough time differentiating them at first, but you'll get there
Since you were also interested in listening to songs from the vocalists, here are some suggestions: - Intro: Serendipity MV (by Jimin) - Intro: Singularity MV (By Taehyung) - Intro: Epiphany MV (By Jin) - Euphoria (by Jungkook) 'Euphoria : Theme of LOVE YOURSELF 起 Wonder' Also please do react to RM and J-Hope's solos from Map Of The Soul series too 💜 Intro: Persona - RM Outro: Ego - J-Hope
jungian psychology is so damn interesting. persona and ego are a must! persona is by RM and ego is by j-hope. there are great explanation vids of these 3 songs. take care and stay hydrated
Min Yoongi is his given name. Suga is his stage name and LiL Meow Meow is what that fans call him. If you ever go on BTS twitter and see a meme of a kitten or a cat, it's mostly likely a post about Suga/Yoongi/Lil Meow Meow
Just to provide further explanation on the title “Map of the Soul: 7 Interlude Shadow Comeback Trailer” - Map of the Soul:7 is the name of their most recent studio album, usually abbreviated into MOTS:7 - Shadow is the title of the song, which serves as an interlude in the album - Comeback is a term commonly used in kpop when an artist releases new music. So comeback trailer basically means a trailer (like in “movie trailer”) for their comeback. It sets the tone and gives the fans an idea of the album’s concept. BTS always releases a comeback trailer before an album drops, two singles, and at least 2 music videos. For MOTS:7 they did even more. It was a very extensive campaign that was supposed to be followed with a year-long tour.
They are well known not just by their amazing performances and stage presence but also because of the story they want to convey through their music. It can be about their personal struggle or even the unjust society. That is why most of us relate to it and feel connected. I remember in one of their interviews they were ask about the concept and the topic that they were addressing in their albums are somewhat risky because some of them are sensitive topic. RM answered "somebody needs to say about those topics?" something like that. I think that's Zack Sang who ask them that question. But anyway I'm talking too much here 😂😂 Just want to say that You nice, keep going! ~jimin
It's just Suga, he talks about his two different sides. One side which wants to be successful and reach the top and the other side, his shadow, which is afraid of this success. At the end he says that both sides belong to him and are a part of him. In the full version of shadow he also makes a reference to 'we are Bulletproof part 2' (a song from 2013 where they weren't successful and had basically nothing) saying that he now has all these things he wanted and shouldn't complain, basically talking to himself.
Yeah you were both right. He was playing as his own monster or as his own shadow. The darkness and loneliness inside of him that grows as the spotlight and the fame grows~~ in the end his shadow or the darkness says to him thay this is just something he has to come to terms with :p
This trailer is only Suga “Shadow” But all three of the rap line has their own solo for their outro, trailer, interlude, and intro, etc... Please definitely checkout RM “Persona” And JHope “Ego”
you're kinda getting it yes. the concept is suga (real name is min yoongi) and his shadow. first he talks about how the shadow grows when you become more and more famous, and how he's scared that it would turn him into a monster. then when the beat switches up the shadow is talking, saying he cannot break free from it because the shadow is a part of him and that he must learn to balance the shadow and the light in order to achieve his true self. The concept of this is based on carl jung's psychological literature "map of the soul" which talks about reaching individualization by understanding the three sides of oneself which are the persona (referenced by rm in Intro: Persona), the id (this one, Interlude: Shadow by Suga) and the ego (referenced by J-Hope in Outro: Ego) . I suggest you check out the other two!
He wanted to get to the top and then he got there now but now that he's at the top he feels lonely like there nothing else to look for.. he's facing a conflict within himself.
Idk if anyone told you yet but yes august d and suga are the same person but they're also different. In some of his past songs he's talked about how min yoongi which is his real name is already dead, and in daechwita which you reacted to he plays 2 characters and at then end of the MV he killed the other suga, and then in this one hes playing both sides again which is why at the end he pretty much says "i am you, you are me, do you get it" BTS's songs are all deep and have story lines. You should listen to spring day by BTS and then watch the video that explaining the music video
That was suga describing his journey also shows his alter ego side agustd . I suggest you react to bts 2017 memories cypher medley the 3 rappers suga rm and j hope live
It's just suga. Playing two roles like in Daechwita. In this, he is playing as Him And his shadow
Haha we appreciate you letting us know 😃😃
3 roles actually ...
Yoongi : the Self
Suga ( on stage singing ) : the Persona / the Ego
Agust D : the Shadow
Well explained :)

Interlude: Shadow is Suga's solo
Intro:Persona is RM's solo
Outro:Ego is J Hope's solo.
Normally, it takes baby ARMY a while to get the message at first

tbh, there are countless BTS videos that you have to check... You haven’t even scratched the surface yet. Long way to go bruh! - ARMY 💜
Princess we appreciate you taking the time o write this!! We’ve added them all to the list!
Long list ...
lautbiru yes indeed haha but here for it 💜
There are certain performances on this list that will get blocked. Amicy
I would like to add “ON” performance at the Grand Central Station on Jimmy Fallon
You can check out the theory videos too to understand their concept more.
up!
girl go off jeezzzz
Daamnnn Army!!! U did good job 👍🏼💜💜💜💥
Up
You should have started with RM’s Persona song. Suga gang!!
there are hints about MotS as far back as wings. I'd actually start there if there are gonna skip eras
@@Mackenzie341 yeah but wings is influenced by hyyh so really it takes the whole discography to get it all lol
That was our king Suga (Yoongi). Only one Suga. And song's the bomb.
"I wanna be the king" - you are!
@@BriBee1235 Man, that's cheating them of the visual mayhem that is No More Dream, We are Bulletproof pt. 2 and N.O.
@@Mackenzie341 those are great ones as well :-)
Yes, Yes, Yes...I couldn't agree more!! Everyone wanting to learn about our boys should start with introduction videos and then watch MVs in chronological order, in my opinion.
Just want to thank you for your continual open-mindedness and appreciation of BTS
Oh wow that’s truly amazing and we will check it out thank you 💜
Yes chicken noodle soup is 🔝🔝
i recommend listening to the full length version on spotify. the song became one of my absolute faves once i heard that.
its just suga on this on and Alex's theory comes closer to what hes trying to say. now that bts are at the top, its difficult to deal with some aspects of it
Your beard will grow alex, It's gonna be dope like allen, patience lol
when you make it to top most of people try to drag you down than trying to help you , that makes you even more lonely
True that and thank you for watching 💜
I really like how you both listen to each other and don’t try to outdo the other! Keep going, good reaction so far.
We appreciate you watching and noticing 😁💪🏾💪🏾
Thanks for reacting, this song is meaningful and I enjoyed your thoughtful comments 🤔
We appreciate you watching and thank you for stopping by 💜
Just binged all your BTS reactions, and I really like you guys. You seem very genuine and love to see the fall of others down the BTS rabbit hole, we’ve all been there 😆
We appreciate you binge watching them and we can’t wait to keep diving further down
This is Suga he goes by his Alias Agust D only for His solo Mixtapes ... This song is dope with deep lyrics where he's talking about what he wanted to be in the past & how he is now & no matter how much he try to avoid the shadow he can't coz that's part of him & accepts it ....
That was just one member; Suga 😄. So it goes like this
Persona- RM
Shadow- Suga
Ego- J Hope according to their Map Of The Soul series which was based on psychologist Carl Jung's Map of the Soul.
react to BTS Memories Cypher Medley 2017 LIVE PERFORMANCE
Shadow is Suga's solo song. It was released to introduce us to the album Map of the Soul: 7.
RM's solo song is Persona. Jhope's solo song is Ego.
We will be checking them out, thank you
when the song drastically changed was the shadow making himself known. he's telling suga that we are you, we are me. that they are the same person and he's just gotta deal with it. there's no getting away from it.
Lol. I saw it was premiering and clicked without knowing there was just a minute left.
Ayyyeeew
Me too
Suga, Min Yoongi, Agust D, Little Meow Meow ... It's all the same guy. Suga.
Watching them might help you get to know the members better because you dont have to constantly second guess yourself on who is who lmao
Also in both this video and the Daechwita, Suga plays two characters.
3:36 6:50 hey you got the idea! Here The monster aka The Shadow inside Suga can't be denied. He must accept that apart of hisself if he wants peace or else the Shadow will eventually take over.
No worries,You'll get their faces eventually!
All 7 members have solo songs on their group albums. So this song is Suga’s solo for Map if the soul 7.
when you said this is deep..
i was like, “this is gonna be a fun journey Amicy”.
i’ll wait till you dive in to “bangtan universe”. if you think this is deep, wait till you get into the other side of the world. bts world is full of theories, storyline, you’ll study psychology and a whole lot more. you’ll be a detective, fbi, theorist just by listening to their music.
If you confused see their MV ,
Most all of their song and their Mv have explained you can check their explanation by DKDKTV,
How connected
Their lyrics and their Mv even their coreografi has a deeper meaning and you can got it after you check explained by DKDKTV .

We will be 😃😃
I went to both of their Chicago concerts last year and it is a religious experience.
You flooded me with BTS....ok, I will subscribe!
@cbreees ayeee let's goooo. Welcome to the Amicy Gang!!!
Just binge watching all your videos and I’m in love with y’all reactions, subscribing 💜💜💜💜
@Stepharciaaa That truly means a lot and we are glad that you vibe with us 💜😁
Waiting for you guys to react to the whole album.
I just subscribed when I seen you reacting to BTS! The Best!💜
😁😁Thabk you for watching and welcome to the Amicy Gang💪🏾💪🏾
Ok, is it just me but I find it fun when someone new is trying to get to know bts , because they’re hella confused and there is so much detail to know what’s going on, especially having 7 years of music.. and bts having so much to offer. I love it lol 😂
Suga looks low key like a little kitty, jhope is the sun, and Kim namjoon (RM) has dimples and looks really mature
You should react to the longer version of this song (1 verse more) too :)
(Not MV, only lyrics version)
Basically, other comments will perhaps tell you a deeper meaning of this clip, but the ''general story'' is to accept our 'Persona' as much our 'Shadow', so accept our 'Ego' (based to Carl Jung's ''Map of the Soul''). You will understand these terms later if you don't, don't worry x)
Here, the first ''suga'', the one in white/yellow-black suits, is him, the side that he shows to the world, his Persona.
This beard situation reminds of me how V wants to grow his too , so cute !!
Love and support from the Philippines ^_^
EXPLANATION:
At the begging there’s a vinyl crack, it’s that sound you here in the old movies, it’s giving that vintage, nostalgic vibe and then when the music begins you can hear reversed instruments, it’s all reffering to them looking back at their past.
Also, since this album is ort if the series, and this is interlude, Suga is answering RM’s questions from intro: persona:
RM: Who am I?
S: I am you, you are me
RM:How are you feeling right now?
S: I’m scared. Flying high is terrifying
RM: One told me to run, one told me to stop.
S:No one told me how lonely it is up here
RM: Do you wanna go?
S: I found out running away is an option.
RM: Do you wanna fly?
S: Please don’t let me fly
RM: What’s your dream?
S: I gotta big dream.
RM: Do you think you’re alive?
S: I came to my senses and find myself here.
This is Suga. When you react to a comeback trailer it’s usually one of the seven members Before the whole Album drops
Being an ARMY, we are influenced by BTS to read more.. i am now reading Carl Jung's Map of the Soul to learn and reflect. BTS music is deep..
there's actually more to this song (another verse) on the audio/spotify version so u should check it out. this muisc video was released before their "map of the soul:7" album was a released so it was like getting a snippet of the album. that's why it's called "trailer" and when the album got released we got the full song.
We apppreciate you watching and thank you for dropping the info, It means a lot! KeepItAmicy
it's actually sad rap song about the negative side of fame
it's just Suga he play suga the celebrity & the min yoongi (his real name) like to remind him: no matter what or how much I fly I'm you u we can't split like a person & his shadow & remember who u r behind the lights & one day u will be back as min yoongi only
Yes KING 👑
Bts outro:tear, Dionysus, So what, (live show)💜💜💥
Persona (RM) shows bts's outer face which they show us mots persona explores it through boy with love(cute persona), Dionysus(power) and also their dreams.
My fav too
😁😁
Army was really stoked to listen to this for the first time and finding out that Yoongi is more confident in his singing! He took singing lessons also for his second tape as his aka Agust D (Agust D 2!) please listen into his tape, you will both love it!
Love this song
A quick guide to help figure out which BTS member you are watching:
RM: rapper, tall, dimples, low voice
J-Hope: rapper, expressive face, great dancer, large variation in tone of voice
Suga: rapper, shorter, raps FAST, generally more laid back fashion sense
Jin: singer, tall, handsome, strong clear voice
Jimin: singer, delicate features, highest pitched voice, great dancer
V: singer, low pitched voice, large expressive eyes, often wears baggy clothes
Junkook: singer, strong voice, great dancer, tall
It's common to have a tough time differentiating them at first, but you'll get there
Lily, thank you so much!!!

jungian psychology is so damn interesting. persona and ego are a must! persona is by RM and ego is by j-hope. there are great explanation vids of these 3 songs. take care and stay hydrated
Min Yoongi is his given name. Suga is his stage name and LiL Meow Meow is what that fans call him. If you ever go on BTS twitter and see a meme of a kitten or a cat, it's mostly likely a post about Suga/Yoongi/Lil Meow Meow

Just to provide further explanation on the title “Map of the Soul: 7 Interlude Shadow Comeback Trailer”
- Map of the Soul:7 is the name of their most recent studio album, usually abbreviated into MOTS:7
- Shadow is the title of the song, which serves as an interlude in the album
- Comeback is a term commonly used in kpop when an artist releases new music.
But anyway I'm talking too much here 😂😂
Just want to say that
You nice, keep going! ~jimin
yeeeeeeeeeeaaaah SADOW with the deep meanings
you have to check one day BTS MMA 2019
It's just Suga, he talks about his two different sides. One side which wants to be successful and reach the top and the other side, his shadow, which is afraid of this success. At the end he says that both sides belong to him and are a part of him.
In the full version of shadow he also makes a reference to 'we are Bulletproof part 2' (a song from 2013 where they weren't successful and had basically nothing) saying that he now has all these things he wanted and shouldn't complain, basically talking to himself.
This is only the trailer version. You have to listen to the full song of Shadow.. You can listen that to there new album: Map of the soul: 7
you were close, the shadow is like our inner monster. what we want to hide 6:47
Yeah you were both right. He was playing as his own monster or as his own shadow. The darkness and loneliness inside of him that grows as the spotlight and the fame grows~~ in the end his shadow or the darkness says to him thay this is just something he has to come to terms with :p
this is Suga from BTS, ( it is agust D) it’s just a comeback trailer from BTS, and here it’s just Suga, it’s with its shadow in this clip,
Thankyou for react this video.
This trailer is only Suga “Shadow”
But all three of the rap line has their own solo for their outro, trailer, interlude, and intro, etc...
Please definitely checkout RM “Persona”
And JHope “Ego”
Are you in NC?. I am an rn here at Wake Med. BTS helps me so much to de stress these days. Thanks for the entertainment and be careful out there.
Ayyyee!! Yes we are! We recently moved to wilmington nc from Durham!
Okay I’ve subscribed I love you guys lol 😭💜
You should watch their dance practice vedeos and older songs.. you don’t miss those 💜
you're kinda getting it yes. the concept is suga (real name is min yoongi) and his shadow. first he talks about how the shadow grows when you become more and more famous, and how he's scared that it would turn him into a monster. then when the beat switches up the shadow is talking, saying he cannot break free from it because the shadow is a part of him and that he must learn to balance the shadow and the light in order to achieve his true self.
I suggest you check out the other two!

ah the perfect crying congs
Idk if anyone told you yet but yes august d and suga are the same person but they're also different. In some of his past songs he's talked about how min yoongi which is his real name is already dead, and in daechwita which you reacted to he plays 2 characters and at then end of the MV he killed the other suga, and then in this one hes playing both sides again which is why at the end he pretty much says "i am you, you are me, do you get it" BTS's songs are all deep and have story lines. You should listen to spring day by BTS and then watch the video that explaining the music video
